As for my Aries thing… I wasnt much familiar with their energy… But now have two Aries in my life, both men. One of them actually is Cancer with Aries Moon and Mars. The other has Sun Venus and then moon in Aries.
I like how they move forward, compared to my cancerian sidewaysness… They just GO. I guess i dont have any deep thoughts about it yet… Just that i like it even though tension does arise….their firey fire warms up my watery/earthy/yinny chart-

I’m an Aries sun and I remember everything. I was just on the phone with my mom telling her the exact date that the boy I liked when I was 10 (in 1972) returned home after six months he spent living with the other side of his family out of state. Lol. There are a lot of non Aries-like things about me though. I think it’s my Capricorn rising and my Venus and Mercury in Taurus.

I guess that’s one of the tricky things about the sun. Well, and I guess having it in the eighth affects my openness with it, too.
As far as the aries/cancer contrasts go, based upon my experience with my closest sib, a cancer, aries seems more concerned with action than security. I tend to find more security in getting up and getting going than in holing up in the bomb shelter (I’d go to him if I needed that, for sure.) We did everything together as kids, but the differences between how we operate… wow!
If I have a problem I go a bit nutz if I can’t _do something_ about it even if it’s simply letting go or moving on (pisces mars.)
But I’ve never felt all that confident or extroverted or talkative or athletic or… all these things an aries is supposed to be.

As for the Aries-Cancer thing, I’ve always thought I was into the crabs b/c I have a Cappy moon and a lot of Saturn energy in my chart, despite the Aries Stellium. Crabs make me feel secure, like I can just go cuddle up with them after a day of fighting off the world. But there’s definitely a tension there too, and it’s kinda hot. Not boring, like every astrologer seems to think they’d make me feel.
