Astrology-Based Advice: Devastating Young Life – Sexual Abuse, Parents Dead: Sun Conjunct Saturn In Scorpio
Dear Elsa,
I have had problems in my life since as long as I can remember. My parents died when I was young, I was sexually abused as a child, I never lived in a place for more than 2 years, and I ran away at 16. However I remained a fairly happy child through all this.
Now as an adult, I’m constantly fighting fits of depression or incredible anger. One moment I’m fine, the next I’m blowing up at my husband because he pronounced a word wrong (or something else small like that). I feel like I’m never truly happy and I don’t know how it that is, now that I have everything I’ve wanted for so long (a family and security).
I also have a tendency to pretty much live in the past. I just can’t let it go. Is there something wrong with me or is it part of my destiny to suffer?

Dear In,
No, I don’t think it is your destiny to suffer, I think it’s your destiny to heal and beyond that to help others heal. Who better for that than you? With your vast experience of suffering you are uniquely positioned, don’t you think? I do. But let me address some of these other things.
Your experience is common for survivors of abuse. You finally get yourself to a place where you have a modicum of security and this is when the shit hits the fan. Because prior to this time, you are functioning in some sort of survival mode. Functioning highly too, something you should be proud of. But now it’s time to heal.

The intense influence passes but leaves its invigorating mark on the mood. Toward the end of the day, late night on the eastern coast of the Americas, sunset for the west, is when retrograde Venus and retrograde Saturn make their exact trine.

New Moon On Sunday
“Shake up the picture, the lizard mixture, with your dance on the eventide.”

This brings to mind an old Duran Duran song which I do not find personally pleasant (“Please, please, kill me now…”). However, this is not just an ordinary new moon as it is in orb of conjunction with one of the Moon’s nodes, a solar eclipse. This eclipse squeeks under the five degree wire by minutes and can be seen in some areas, but NASA does not classify it as technically total from any vantage point on Earth.

Introduction (And A Look Back) At Saturn In Scorpio
Astrology in real life.
I’ve got quite a bit of Capricorn in my chart. Consequently there has always a lot of focus on Saturn on this blog. Slews of posts about Saturn in Libra. Slew of posts about Saturn in Virgo. I expect to do the same with Saturn in Scorpio and I am starting to think about this now.
Saturn in Scorpio will be in mutual reception to Pluto in Capricorn during this transit. This has got to be a real boon to anyone willing to work (Saturn) with dark energy (Scorpio), or anyone who wants to come to terms with their shadow and deal with reality, even it’s putrid.

When you have a long loveless dry spell, it’s only logical that after awhile you think this will never happen for you. I came to this conclusion myself at one point, and I lived in total acceptance of this fact for a number of years. I saw that others experienced true love in their life and I just thought I would be doing something else. I thought I had some other calling or purpose, I guess. I turned out to be wrong and there are a lot of stories out there like mine.

Now that Martyrs Day is over, Tuesday afternoon sees the end of Moon in Pisces, a wrap up of the Venus-Saturn energy poking a sensitive Moon. The influence is passing and the end of the Pisces Moon provides the juice to let it go. Whatever your mood, good or bad, it can go with the the Neptune fog as we head into Aries mood. Transit Watch: Mars opposite Chiron – May 17, 2012 – Veiled Aggression
My eye on the sky.
Mars in Virgo opposes Chiron in Pisces, exactly on May 17th. We don’t really think of Virgo and Pisces as vicious signs. But Mars is involved here, up against Chiron in Pisces which represents a sensitive wound. Basically, we’ve got people trying to stick a knife in others where it hurts the most which brings us into the realm of cruelty.
