A Moment of Peace by jm

Raging Universe - Enjoy!

“Well if no one else wants it, I’ll take it. The Sun is leaving its square to Pluto after invigorating the intense battle for leadership that reached a peak last week. Today it’s going into balanced Libra and Mercury is just about to turn retrograde. Mars will be there a little while longer as well. Compromise on the bailout? Could be. The North Node, Neptune, and Chiron are together in Aquarius and I can’t imagine the commoners being entirely neglected…”

Pluto in Capricorn – The Health of the World: The Past and the Future By Diane L. Cramer

Diane L. Cramer - Enjoy!

General“During the fall of 2007, I was a member of a panel discussion hosted by the Uranian Society in New York City on the possible effects of Pluto’s entry into Capricorn. As a medical astrologer, I reported on the health of the world throughout history when Pluto fell in Capricorn and then gave my interpretation of the two Ingress Charts of Pluto’s entry into Capricorn in 2008 in terms of world health. The following article covers the results of my research. Occasionally, there are instances of time overlaps due to the historical context of the information…”

Tolstoy and the Saturn-Uranus-Opposition by Philip Brown

Philip Brown - Enjoy!

Leo Tolstoy’s Saturn-Uranus opposition (an out-of-sign, or dissociate, aspect) was one of the closest major aspects in his horoscope. I thought this was interesting because we are about to experience a Saturn-Uranus opposition starting next year.In Tolstoy’s War and Peace, the old regime (Saturn in Leo) was breaking apart (Uranus moving from Capricorn into Aquarius): The Russian aristocracy was dancing on its own grave. Although the main historical event of the novel–Napoleon’s invasion of Russia–took place well before the Saturn-Uranus opposition, Tolstoy was reflecting his own Saturn-Uranus opposition in the mirror of history.

Merc Retrograde Alert: Go Shopping Now! by Monica

Astrology Mundo - Enjoy!

“Folks, my friends will tell you that I’m either wildly optimistic (three planets in Sagittarius) or doom in gloom (three planets in Capricorn), depending on what the Moon (I’ve got it in Cancer) is doing.

I don’t like hysteria at all. The crazier people get, the calmer I get.

So I’m issuing this warning in the most cautious way possible: I don’t like the looks of this upcoming Mercury retrograde. The Winged Messenger changes direction and appears to be moving backward from our perspective on Sept. 23 at 28 degrees of Libra, conjunct Mars in the same degree…”

Pluto in Capricorn: January 25 2008 - November 19 2024 by Ed Tamplin

Ed Tamplin - Enjoy!

Pluto in Capricorn
“The dwarf planet Pluto is one dark and icy rock, floating on the edges of our planetary system, like a lone pebble on a windswept beach at night. It is smaller than our own Moon, and so distant that the sunlight which reaches us within eight minutes, doesn’t touch Pluto until a full five hours later. Yet Pluto’s powerful effect as a catalyst for worldly change is akin to splitting the tiny atom, and producing a massive nuclear explosion. And it’s about to rock our world, as it moves into the corporate sign of Capricorn from January 25 2008…”

Pluto Direct: The Pendulum Swing is Real by astrobarry

astrobarry - Enjoy!

antruinAs far as weeks go, this one certainly qualifies as noteworthy.

Not only are we experiencing the triple conjunction of Mercury, Venus and Mars in Libra (as I discussed previously), but we’ve also dealt with both Jupiter and Pluto stationing direct within 24 hours of each other.

Pluto’s return to direct motion is unquestionably the bigger news, situated, as he has been, on the cusp between Sagittarius and Capricorn. When Pluto changes signs, it heralds a major generational shift, moving our collective obsessions into different arenas so that we may face the shadow there (the dark underbelly we usually prefer not to look at) and, hopefully, emerge out the other end with a greater depth of understanding.

Controlled chaos, or thoughts on the Saturn-Uranus opposition by hitchhiker72

A Question Of Mindfulness - Enjoy!

C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\~p2b\guardia01.jpg
“Call it ‘the Grand Irrationality’, as Robert Wilkinson does, or a ‘tricky time’ as this reader does on ElsaElsa.com. There’s a weirdness in the air — a sense that what we know, experiences we have built up (Saturn), may not, or cannot, help us make sense of the chaos (Uranus) we sense. The economy is messed up, the environment is messed up, politics is messed up and (many of) our personal lives may be messed up…”

Pisces Full Moon Reflections: Faith, Reason, and the Truth by April Elliott Kent

April Elliott Kent - Enjoy!

April Elliott Kent

As you might have noticed, unless you were busy redecorating that new rock you’ve been living under, the political scene in this country has gotten pretty nasty. I have no idea how the next two months are going to possibly go by without at least one candidate using the term “motherf*****s” on Meet the Press at some point.
~ Rob Rummel-Hudson, blogger
Yes, just when you thought it was safe to enjoy Sunday dinner with your ideologically opposite family members, here comes another — and, as Rob points out, breathtakingly vicious — election cycle…”Read the rest - Big Sky Astrology

Jupiter Direct in Sagittarius - Return of the Hopeful Guru by sadasiva

Vedic Astrology Center Blog - Enjoy!

“Jupiter is known as “guru” in Sanskrit, the language of ancient India — the land from which Vedic astrology originated. The term guru actually has several meanings. “Gu’ means “to remove” — “ru” means “darkness”. Thus, a guru is a remover of darkness. The word also means “heavy”. This seems a bit odd, doesn’t it? But the heaviness of a guru is what allows us to sink deeply into the truth. It’s the power that takes as deeply into our hidden self, the wellspring of our innate wisdom…”

Mars in Transit: Beware of What You Want for You Will Get It by Jessica Murray

Jessica Murray - Enjoy!

C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\~p2b\mars.gif“All of us who read charts have at some point been spooked by transits of Mars. It is perhaps the most closely watched and most cursorily interpreted planet in transit astrology. Not known for subtlety, Mars’ transits can be a revelation when they trigger more inscrutable underlying chart patterns, because with Mars something usually happens; something that we can point to. But considered alone, the very obviousness of Mars tempts us to remain on the level of symptom rather than meaning…
