Quetzalcoatl and the Sexual Secrets of the Toltec Astrologers by Bruce Scofield

Bruce Scofield - Enjoy!

http://www.elsaelsa.com/astronewsblog/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/bscofie.jpg“In ancient Mesoamerican astrology the planet Venus was perceived differently, at least on the surface, as it has been in Western astrology. For starters, Venus was male. The mythological traditions of the Toltec and Aztec peoples tell us of the great Quetzalcoatl (Ket’-zel-kwat’-l), both an ancient god and a historical figure, who was linked with this planet. The name Quetzalcoatl translates literally as feathered serpent, the quetzal being a bird of extremely bright plumage native to Central American and coatl being the Nahuatl (the indigenous language of highland Mexico) word for snake. This combination of air creature and earth creature is found in the oldest creation myths of Mesoamerica…”

“Power always thinks it has a great soul and vast views beyond the comprehension of the weak; and that it is doing God’s service when it is violating all his laws.” John Adams ~ Too true, Mr. President!

Astrology & History: “Rounding Up The Usual Suspects” by Dr. Garth Chivalle Carpenter

Dr. Garth Chivalle Carpenter - Enjoy!

crucifi“Regarding the history of astrology and the Christian church:- You have to remember first, that astrology and Christianity were the pan-pervasive and predominant philosophies throughout Europe, including England, from the 10th century AD until the 18th century and the period known as the Enlightenment. Christianity and astrology had an uneasy truce but coexisted, particularly in England, where many of the priests were students and covert practitioners of astrology. There was an academic reason for this…”

The Chiron-Pluto contact: all the world’s pain by chirotic

Chirotic Journal - Enjoy!

C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\~p2b\whit_th.jpg

Today I wish to look in some detail at the two greatest Americans that ever lived. Of course, I make no objective claim on these personages’ behalves, only one that, for my own part, rings profoundly true. I would happily include a close run third placing for that most gently predisposed of Presidents (Jed Bartlett aside) Abraham Lincoln, however, even his star was eclipsed, in my most humble opinion by those of Henry David Thoreau, and his contemporary, the poet Walt Whitman.

Presidents and Pluto - Some History by Kenneth Irving

Kenneth Irving - Enjoy!

pluto symbol“LONG AGO AND FAR AWAY, I was given the assignment to write an article projecting the probable outcome of a U.S. Presidential election that was still in the early primary stage. On the Republican side there were two contenders, which included our only appointed President Gerald Ford, and California Governor Ronald Reagan (which tells you how long ago and far away it was). On the Democratic side there were a half dozen or so contenders, many of whom were relative unknowns…”

BEN FRANKLIN: America’s Astrologer-General by Linda Accurso excerpted Dell Horoscope, July 1998, pg 35-37

Linda Accurso - Enjoy!

Ben Franklin“The following are little known public facts about one of the major drafters of the Declaration of Independence and appropriate for this month of July.

No person, no matter how long he or she has been dead, is safe from the rooting out of his life and ups and downs, accomplishments and failures. …few historians have written about one aspect of the life of one of America’s Founding Fathers–especially since he often wrote of that aspect himself…”

A Dialogue between Astrology and Science by Maarit Laurento

Maarit Laurento - Enjoy!

maarit_150x145jpg.jpg“Astrology has not had academic continuum for some hundreds of years, since Copernicus reinvented the heliocentric idea of Aristharcus in the year 1543 (De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium). The change in the scientific world view which started from this event pushed astrology aside from both the scientific world and the church. Astrology had enjoyed quite a strong position in the latter, in spite of the several bulls it had been given since the early years of the church (look e.g. Brau, Weaver & Edmands 1977)…”

Julius Firmicus Maternus: Profile of a Roman Astrologer By David McCann
“In the bibliography of Christian Astrology, William Lilly listed over 200 works, but only three were by ancient authors: Marcus Manilius, Claudius Ptolemy, and Julius Firmicus Maternus. Of these, that of Firmicus was the longest and the most representative of ancient practice. But who was Firmicus?

The Rise and Fall of the Berlin Wall by Monica

Astrology Mundo - Enjoy!

“This is a chart that is near and dear to me because I was born in Berlin in 1960 and lived there for three years. In the early morning hours of Aug. 13, 1961 (nine days after Barack Obama was born in Hawaii), the Berlin Wall went up literally overnight. Of course, before there were bricks, there was barbed wire.

What time did the East Germans start building Die Maurer? According to Frederick Taylor in The Berlin Wall: A World Divided, 1961-1989, construction began at 1 a.m…”
