Pure Plutonium: Hunter S. Thompson Says Goodbye by D.K. Brainard
D.K. Brainard - Enjoy!

“Hunter S. Thompson, author of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and the inventor of “gonzo” journalism, killed himself on February 20, 2005.
According to news reports, Thompson shot himself while on the phone with his wife. A glass of Chivas Regal was found on the counter next to the phone. He was 67 and in declining health and had talked “repeatedly” about killing himself in recent weeks, his wife told The Denver Post…”

Richard Wright: Off to the Great Gig in the Sky by Eric Francis
Planet Waves - Enjoy!
Dear Friend and Reader:
RICHARD WRIGHT was one of those rock stars who was heard but not seen. I don’t know much about the Pink Floyd keyboardist who died from cancer on Monday at the age of 65. Pink Floyd was not a band of personalities like The Beatles or The Rolling Stones. They spoke through their music, and if you grew up listening to Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall, you heard Richard Wright loud and clear. Wright wrote one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs, the fittingly tragic Summer ‘68, from an obscure album called Atom Heart Mother.

THE SECRET BLEND OF ASTROLOGY AND FILM by Aleksandar Imsiragic
Aleksandar Imsiragic - Enjoy!
“Astrology is certainly a divine language, as the symbols it uses are universal and all-pervading, describing every corner of the Universe and events within It. Astrology gives answers to questions we raise and, most importantly, it describes the laws by which all things come into existence.
Once you know this language, which is the law, you gradually come to know that you are able to see through the apparent phenomenal forms and reach the underlying intelligence at the basis of everything…”

TV Recap: Project Runway - What’s Your Sign? by Kona Gallagher
Kona Gallagher - Enjoy!
Previously: The designers had to design a look for Diane VonFurstenberg’s Fall/Winter collection. Kenley cried, and cried, and cried. Leanne rightfully won, while ol’ Leathuh Face was eliminated.
Heidi tells the designers that they have some special guests: it’s the eliminated designers. Keith, by the way, does not seem over his elimination at all.

Project Runway Season 5, Episode 9 — Astrological avant-garde by Sarah Henning
Sarah Henning - Enjoy!
“A few lessons wannabe reality TV stars can learn from last night’s episode of Project Runway:
When a top American designer compares your outfit to fecal waste, you know you’re on the outs. And when the judges think you can’t play well with others in a business that demands that you work with others, you also know you can’t be long for the reality TV world.
OK, note to self, right? Or were those things given all along?

PROJECT RUNWAY: In which we go sorta avant garde By Nina Garin
Nina Garin - Enjoy!
What do you know, Leanne is a Libra.
I am a Libra.
Perhaps this is why I was subconsciously drawn to her rather than her nerdy glasses that she no longer wears.
The reason I know Leanne’s sign is not because I’m all obsessed with her, but because last night’s challenge finally moved away from corporate sponsorship and into the stars. The designers had to create an avant-garde look inspired by their astrological signs.

“Project Runway” recaplet (5.09): The Zodiac claims two more victims by Brian Juergens
Brian Juergens - Enjoy!

“I am Captain Gunn. Welcome to Moonbase Gay.”
Last night’s Project Runway had an astrology theme, as the designers were asked to create a look based on a sign of the Zodiac and to premiere the look at the Rose Space Center at the Museum of Natural History. Were the results heavenly, or something better left to a galaxy far, far away?

True Blood and Generation Vampire aka Gen-Y, A Marketing Juggernaut, Pluto In Scorpio’s Kids Rise To Power by Robert Phoenix
Robert Phoenix - Enjoy!

“So I’m going to take a little breather from the astro-political grind, but we’ll still keep our gaze affixed to the stars and other social phenomenon.
Last night, I watched the debut of HBO’s buzzing new series, True Blood. I’m a huge fan of just about anything HBO does on the original production side of things; Deadwood, Rome, The Wire, Sopranos, Flight Of The Conchordes, Entourage, and now Tru Blood sinks it’s fangs into premium cable viewers…”
