miatopia watched this old video, People Who Marry You When They Don’t Even Like You and started a thread to discuss the qualities of Venus/Neptune people on the boards. I have Venus in aspect to Neptune. I have written a lot about it over the years. I’ve written about the sensitivity to music and the deception which is perpetrated by the Venus Neptune person as often as they are preyed upon, though they’re usually more comfortable in the victim role then they are with owning their side of things, assuming they can see their side which often they can’t.

I’m posting because one things has never come up on this blog.  It’s the way relationships (Venus) can drain (Neptune) a person who has this in their chart.  People can really wipe you out and you pray to escape them.

There is another angle on that Venus Neptune painting piece I want to flesh out bit for very specific purpose. It is the mention in there of HQ’s vote of confidence in our relationship.

The soldier and I were facing a very hard road if we were going to find a way to come together. For example he had to live in a truck for a year while I had to drive all over the country in support and to maintain the relationship so really, how many people are going to do that for each other? Virtually none.

To embark on something like this we had to BELIEVE. It took copious amounts of faith and maybe you can see how important it was to have HQ state his belief if we took this hard road it would lead us to happiness. That one statement kicked me into a higher gear and what if he’d said something otherwise? What if he’d said something cock-blocking, hmm? Something to undermine. Where do you think we’d be right now?

Venus is in Pisces today, the sign of it’s exaltation and I thinking on my cross trainer this morning how few people really know how to give a gift. For example any gift with a string attached is not a gift but something grotesque in my mind. It is far worse than giving nothing so I wanted to state this… my opinion and also update what happened with the 2 books I mentioned on the video, Venus, Neptune, Giving, Leonard Cohen and Stephen Arroyo

I wound up getting the the Stephen Arroyo book from regular reader here, mega Libran, Becca. Becca is a librarian and somehow this enhanced this for me. Something about getting a book bought for you by a librarian who generally loans books, don’t they? Want a book? Go to the library, damn it! But she made sure I got that book which I enjoyed very much and I intend to write about it first chance I get.

Now the the Leonard Cohen book, I no longer have. I thought I would have it forever as much as it meant to me but in fact I gave it away some months ago.

What happened was the soldier’s son sent an email from Iraq. He was asking for certain things. Things like mouthwash and dental floss and books of course. And being on the road the soldier could not do much to get something together so he asked me to do it for him and I did.

I was stressed and out of time and money at the time so I put together some of everything he asked for, surprised I had everything on the list already onhand in some form.

I then looked around for some books and decided to send him the Energy Of Slaves when I realized it was the best thing I had. So what else would I give him, hmm? I sent that thing and I don’t miss it at all.

Do you know how to give a gift?

satori caught this one. I was talking to her about shopping today, I caught a glimpse of myself in very harsh light and egads! I have degraded!

Not to say I feel bad because I don’t. I feel okay about aging, it was just that saw I saw it all at once and I was telling satori it was just as well. You want to find this stuff out before you buy new clothes rather than after so you can make adjustments.

“Yeah, you just have to be very careful what you wear when you’re old. You can still look good (Venus in Pisces) but you really have to scrutinize everything you put on (Virgo) and remember your age (Saturn).

“Is there something in the sky?” she asked. “Because I had this same conversation with someone else today…”

So yeah, there is something in the sky. Saturn in Virgo says mind your age if you want to look good (Venus)!

It was also a good day to see my age because with Venus in Pisces, transcendence is easy to achieve.

C writes regarding loving and giving:

“That’s truly inspiring……your love! But – don’t you think you have to be ‘careful’ of being that all-engrossed with someone? I’ve read your stories and it does seem like there’s a very profound connection between you and the soldier. So maybe you can just give and give unconditionally. And maybe he gives that way to you too. (I’m hoping!!) I haven’t met my ‘true love’ yet and my experience of giving so much has been painful. I guess I’ve put my love in the wrong people/places. Not completely wrong people, just people who haven’t matched my devotion…”

C – I gave to my ex, the AMF in the same way and can tell you that whether he matched my devotion or not is irrelevant. A relationship may not sustain but I have found I never, ever regret giving my best to anything or anyone.

Matter of fact, the more I access my capacity to love and give, the more love I have to give and the better I feel so while others may benefit, the real beneficiary is me. Just think about it. You can go to sleep at night knowing you loved your best or you can go to sleep making rows and columns or who gave what. What sounds preferable to you? I sleep very, very well.

This is why Venus is exalted in Pisces by the way. It’s because the love is endless, it has no bounds. I should also add, I am not engrossed in someone, I am engrossed in everything I do.
