The soldier and I have recreated the same conditions now as we had when we were kids on many fronts. For one thing, he does not come near my job.

When we were kids, I literally forbade him to come to my job (I was a bartender). I used to talk and tell stories all day long… I was completely free and did not want to feel the restriction I do when in his presence, through no fault of his own. It was this and the fact that when you are a bartender, men stare at you all day. I figured he wouldn’t like that so it would just be easier if he stayed away.

I dressed in locker room after showering at the gym. The seasons are changing here so I put together what I thought was a summer-ish after workout uniform but as I picked up my gym bag I realized I looked stupid. Leaving the locker room, wet-haired which is usual, I glanced at myself in the mirror as I walked by and wondered just what the hell I was thinking.

My pants were red with dots on them… silk pajama pants from probably 10 years ago and I had a comfortable (soft) loose but feminine black t-shirt which would have been fine had I not spilled bleach down the back of it – Oh yeah.

Yesterday, I explained to the soldier:

“Yeah, my ego mania is in full swing today,” I said. “It must be confusing for you. One day I am going on and on about how good my hair is and the next day I am wondering if I have any appeal at all.”

“Yeah.”

“Yep, I have disappearing (Neptune) ego mania (Venus in Leo) and I really hate it when they tide goes out. I’d much rather be boasting all the time because even if I am insufferable, I am entertaining but as it is my confidence cannot be maintained.”

Can any of you Neptune types relate? What disappears on you? Can you see the tendency in your chart?

“Boy you two are good looking,” I said to Vidroid and the soldier sitting on the couch like the two Tauri they are.  “How did I get two men who look so good?” I asked.

They both stared at me as did the dog.

“Oh yeah, I know. I got good looking men because I’m so good looking myself.”

They both stared.

“Yeah, I look great so of you two look great.

They both stared so I started singing Mac Davis -  “Hard To Be Humble”…

Yesterday the solider was still talking about the picture he came across in the garage 2 weeks ago…

“Oh, that picture?” I said. “Well I loved that dress. Oh man did I think I looked good. I didn’t see any possible way in the world anyone could look better than I did when I was wearing that dress.”

“Well you were right.”

“Yeah, I know. I thought I was good to go. I thought I could go anywhere in the world in that dress and be recognized as beautiful. I just didn’t think my beauty could be denied and I saw no need for shoes. Shoes? Who needs shoes?”

He laughed.

“Yeah, I was dying to be seen in that dress. It had rick rack you know.”

Venus (vanity) is conjunct Mercury (writing) in Aquarius (shocking / proactive / progressive). This conjunction opposed my natal Venus in Leo… which really likes it’s own hair.

Continue reading It Ain’t Easy Being A Soldier Disabled By Her Hair But I Manage

I have to go to court today and mind Saturn in Virgo which says, “Don’t blather”. This is against my nature with Jupiter rising, never mind Venus in Leo which is prone to drama but I have an angle.

In honor of today’s Moon in Leo, I am going “act” as if I am not a dramatic person but a muted, sort of colorless one.

Right now I am trying to tone down my clothing and believe me this is a challenge. I can’t believe I can’t wear my green clogs however I know I can’t wear my green clogs.

This is the same judge whose court I missed last time (I think). I am pretty motivated to make a smooth transition here, dang.

Judges generally like me and no wonder. Look how much trouble I go to for them.

Sometimes I have trouble writing these things because I am too personally affected to have perspective and today is a good example.

With today’s Moon in Leo conjunct my Venus I really think it is all about me, or more specifically, my hair. My hair should be wonderful today and sometimes that’s enough.

It’s plenty actually and if you were entertained (Leo) by reading this then I guess my job is done.
