Valentine’s Day Question: What Rules Candy? by Satori

Nobody asked me this question. It popped into my head a few minutes ago. I was trying to figure out whether it was totally crass to drop hints or email my man a coupon. It’s been creeping into my head ever since I saw one at the Walgreen’s. I desperately want a Whitman’s Sampler for Valentine’s Day. I think it’s less about wanting something than it is about nostalgia. I’ve been feeling very nostalgic for the 70′s and my childhood.
I’d say Venus probably rules candy. As far a Venus-ruled sign goes, I’d probably assign candy to Taurus rather than Libra. Libra is sweet but airy. Libra snacks on rainbowy unicorn air-trails, right? Taurus is earthy, and foody. I’m thinking Taurus. Or we could split it: Libra gets the pretty candy (swedish fish, taffy, marshmallows) and Taurus gets chocolates.

Valentine’s Day, some people love it, some people hate it, but I suppose that most of us have a position that falls somewhere in between. I’ve heard people call it Singles Awareness Day, some vehemently as though it were a personal affront. Some consider it just for lovers, and some see it as a time to express familial or friendly love as well. I like it. I remember Valentine’s Day as the best school day ever. I loved those little mass-produced, one-sided cards that came in envelopes so rudimentary and cheap you could see the card through them.

I’ve been listening to music I like, music I listened to in my 20′s and it’s impossible to miss the common denominator. I primarily like male singer-songwriters and invariably they’re men who love women.
Some of them pine, some of them work for love, some of them strive for love or wish to co-operate with the woman in their life to work out a problem. Some of them out and out slobber over the appeal of some gal; they’re just crazy for her and I realize very clearly that growing up listening to music like this set the standard for me.

My eye on the sky
I’m not partial to Valentine’s Day as it seems to cause far more pain then it does pleasure for a variety of reasons, however this year may be the exception to that. The sky is truly extraordinary on Valentine’s day this year, I can’t say I’ve ever seen anything like it.
The Moon in Pisces is tightly conjunct Jupiter in it’s own sign which is guaranteed to buoy a person’s feelings. On top of that, Venus (love) which is exalted in Pisces is conjunct the Moon and Jupiter and this is one heck of a KISS.

Astrology And Valentines Day! Oh Boy, CANDY! by satori

Valentine’s Day is the second solar return of the meeting chart with my sweetie so I’ve been scrutinizing it, of course. I’m trying to figure out whether I’m going to get lots of candy or have a piano fall on me from a great height. Those are usually the two options I experience.
The chart of the day looks pretty decent, really, could be worse (RUN, RUN, IT’S A BEAR!). In fact I find it’s fairly instructive for a chart, seeing as I’m the one looking at it and it doesn’t have illustrations and safety handrails. One thing that stands out to me: two yods. Okay, two things stand out to me.
