Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old – Valentine’s Day
Astrology in real life
With his Sun, Moon and Ascendant in Venus-ruled signs, Love Day is a big deal to my son. He has made elaborate plans to deliver his valentines to his peers.
“Do you have a valentine this year?” I asked this morning.
“No, I’m a bachelor right now,” he said.
“Um… you like it?”
“Yeah, it’s okay.”
Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old – Venus Ruled But Beware The Scorpio Mars
Astrology in real life
I should be embarrassed by this but instead I am amused which just proves I am a psycho-mom I suppose. But my son who is a Taurus with a Libra Moon and rising (all Venus) went to his friend’s house yesterday to do his Valentine’s Day cards for school. Why do them alone, right? Libra.
I picked him up later in the evening and he comes running out to the car with “Jesus”, his partner in crime.
Getting in the car he gleefully informs me that while he is giving away Spiderman with pencils valentines this year, the boys who he really, really, really hates are getting Barbie and Bratz valentines, which he got off one of his friend’s sisters.
Psycho Mom laughed slightly and wondered what to do. Tell him it’s not nice? He knows it’s not nice that’s why he’s planned it. I know my son has a long fuse… the boys must deserve it.
But in the morning, sanity prevailed. He is opting to give the boys nothing rather than the girl valentines and I am sure this is the better choice though it’s worthy to note he’s got this in him. Reminds me of someone else I know… now what was her name again?

Astrology And Children: Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old – Always Fraught With Problems, Laced With Pain
Astrology in real life
My poor kid. My son started school early (which is why he lies about his age there) and used to attend the magnet school for gifted and talented as well. It’s a public school, so free but you have to provide transportation. My daughter went there as well which is how I wound up driving a car pool for 6 years but anyway, 2 years ago I had to pull my son from this school due family hardship – my daughter’s illness.
Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old: Bad Day At School – Grand Theft Cocoa
Astrology in real life
Capricorn / Sun in aspect to Saturn can’t get away with anything and I mean anything.
“I had a sort of bad day at school,’” my son said.
“What?”
“Well, we were doing a project. It was (unintelligible) and they gave us pie plates, flour and some of us got dirt and some of us got cocoa. It was this cocoa…”
Yeah?”
“So I stuck my finger in the cocoa and took a lick. Then I had another dab of it.”

Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old – 2000 Piece Puzzle – Oh My But We’re Hapless: A Saturn Parable
Catch up here – 2000 piece puzzle
I got my son a 2000 piece puzzle for Christmas with the intention of putting it together with him. It was a metaphor for our lives at the time which were both in pieces in response to my daughter’s crisis.
We started working on the puzzle and I started writing about it here:
Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old – 2000 Piece Puzzle, Day 1: Healing A Relationship
Catch up here – 2000 piece puzzle
Venus (relationships) is in Scorpio (healing) square Neptune (magic).
With his Sun, Moon and ascendant in Venus-ruled signs, my son gets introduced to this concept.
“Do you know what a metaphor is?” I asked my son as I turned pieces of our 2000 piece puzzle face up.
“Yep. I know metaphor, simile…”
“Yeah. Well that’s what this is puzzle is for you and I. After what’s got on around here, we have a big mess. We really have a mess just like this puzzle, there are pieces everywhere but we are not going to leave it that way.”
He was quiet.
“No, we’re going to get this thing together and you and I will get together in the process, it will be like magic,” I said.
“Okay.”
“Okay then you watch.”
Anyone else got something going on this theme?
Astrology and Children: Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old – 2000 Piece Puzzle
Astrology in real life
I am doing a 2000 piece puzzle with my son. We’re both very keen on puzzles.
“Why couldn’t you have just gotten me a board game?” he asked.
“I already told you. I wanted something we could do together.”
“You could play a board game with me.”
“I already explained why we are doing this. What? Do you want a challenging life or an easy one?”
“Challenging, of course.”
I was surprised. “Really? Why do you want a challenging life?’
“Don’t go all fortune cookie on me, Mom,” he said.
My son is “eight slash nine” now. He is 8, but he is a year ahead in school. He’s decided the kids in his class do not need to know this (Mars in Scorpio) so he is 8/9. “I am 8 when I am home and 9 when I am at school and when my birthday comes I will be 9 slash 10.
I didn’t argue. His chart is almost entirely cardinal and he runs his own life.

Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old – He’s Got Gemini, You Know
Astrology in real life
They ought to lock my whole family up. My daughter has gone to school, I yelled out to my son. ‘You ready for breakfast, kitten?”
“Yeah.”
I remembered I am not supposed to call him, kitten, puppy, bunny or any of the other stupid names I call my kids. I am also not supposed to sing. ‘Er… are you ready for me to stop calling you kitten?” I yelled, then chuckled.
“Yes,” he said as I walked into the living room. He was smiling.
“Okay how about I call you sir?” I said turning the corner into the kitchen. “Would you like your breakfast now, Sir,” I said over my shoulder. “I’ll get it for you.”
He came up behind me, and handed me his yesterday’s lunch box with its ice thing inside.
“Can you put this away for me, doll face?” he said with a slight smirk.
::snort::
I can barely handle these kids you know. They are both smarter than me and it’s a problem. I have created two freaks and I know exactly how it happened.
Astrology And Children: Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old – Tooth Update
Astrology in Real Life
Last night, Vidroid found his tooth. It was a gleaming white one too which I think we noticed because of the first one that cracked. This was a definite undamaged thing. But the Tooth Fairy had come the night before.
“What are you going to do?” I asked..
“Write a note and give it to her,” he said.
Here’s his note. It says “Vidroid” up top
“I found it on the floor! I want to give it to you and say thank you!
I love you too!”
He put it under his pillow last night. The Tooth Fairy came, scooped it up and left him more cash. He was happy this morning but put a poker face on it. “She came,” he said. “She gave me two more dollars,” he added before going about his business as if this none of this ever occurred.
It’s as if he feels he got away with murder or something.
And by the skin of his teeth, too, a Saturn phrase if there ever was one.
Astrology And Children: Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old – Ouccccch! Not Again!
Astrology in real life
My kid lost another tooth last night and per usual there was hardship and trauma attached. He proudly pulled this one himself than ran down the hall to get something to put it in, tripping on the way and seeing the thing go flying and he was distraught.
See, we couldn’t find the tooth. You’d think we’d have been able to find the tooth, both of us crawling up and down the hall on our knees (Saturn) over and over but that tooth was history and he was sooooooo upset although I tried to reassure him the Tooth Fairy would still show up.
