I have a stable of friends. An array, you could say and every friend I have is very good at being who they are. They are each very fine specimens of whatever it is they happen to be and I realized the other day that I milk this to no end.

When something happens in my life, I generally make the rounds. I call everyone who is currently tracking with whatever news I have and ask them what they think. What does a Scorpio think? What does an Asian think? What does the most emotionally sensitive person I have ever met think about this?

The soldier referred to me today as, “Elsa P, the un-catch-able catch”. He dreams of our showing up at our wedding… and it not going off due my cold feet. This is a perfect expression of the sky right now by the way. Venus is conjunct Uranus in Pisces… I don’t know how you get more “runaway bride” then that and it’s in aspect to Saturn… that would be the fear, or the self control that prevents acting on the impulse to escape.

I really do think we are going to marry but who knows how or when. We seem to have so little to say about what happens in our lives. This is both of us, I mean. For example when I had a baby, never in a million years did I expect it to turn out the way it has and I surely never thought I’d see the soldier again – I had counted him dead for 20 years at least!

Then the soldier called to tell me he was on the road on the same route I took when we met up in Beaver, Utah and it’s sort of funny because he’s retracing my steps and boy were we fighting that day. This story was one of the results of that trip – I love the Spy meets Spy theme, of course I would. Have you ever met someone so fascinated with the opposition in astrology? Probably not.

So the Piper Cub takes off with the nerve agent, one the SF guys takes off after it in a bigger, faster plane. Meantime command is struggling to get the phone going. They have no communications.

The guy who is working on the phone says it will take 2 weeks to get them going (huh?) The gal in charge says he has 2 days which is later amended to 30 minutes. Get it? There is some urgency because this plane is headed into the city (their city of course) with this deadly stuff. (swearing below the break)

Regarding “The Unit”, the third show of the third season found the team responding to a nerve agent threat. The bad guys were holed up in a hangar with some shooters on the roof, eventually. The doors open and out rolls a yellow Piper Cub supposed to be loaded with poison to be dispersed over a city.

“Oh not, not the Cub!” the soldier said. “Now that really would ruin my day.” (swearing below the break)

There is a series called The Unit
, it is supposed to portray the Special Forces. I don’t watch TV but HQ sent me the first season in DVD and I enjoyed watching quite tremendously for a variety of reasons. I got the 2nd season on my own and now I have third.

The soldier has not been interested in watching any of these episode although he knows the guy who acts as adviser to the show and I have absolutely seem some of his missions dramatized although they have been wildly altered. In other words it is real.. sort of but the “sort of” part is getting bigger, the “real” part shrinking as each season is produced. (swearing below the break)

“Well you just keep going no matter what. You’re in some country with a job to do that has to be done. You’re a weapon, you have a job to do and if you don’t get it done people are going to be killed. Sometimes a lot of them will lose their lives if you don’t get the job done so whatever pain you might feel from whatever source has no bearing. You got to do the job no matter what, get out if you can and if you can get out alive, then you can worry about whatever pain you may have.”
