Dixie’s Daily Tarot, September 10, 2010: Loving the Virgo Moon Man
Astrology Meets Tarot
My husband is a double Virgo; I sometimes refer to him as “Captain Virgo” because he wears his Virgo like an Alpha geek. I usually like folks who have their Sun and Moon in the same sign, because they tend to act consistently with their feelings. What you see is what you get, and I appreciate that. That’s true of him. Since we’re talking double Virgo, I’ve also seen him adjust his emotional responses when they don’t stack up logically. I think this is a very nifty trick, and am working on learning it from him.

The Neptune Sextile Pluto Generations and the Pluto conjunct Neptune Transit by Nota
Let’s Talk Transits!
When I was 23 I lived in a crappy little rental house with my then boyfriend. He was also a Libra in case you were wondering. Yes, we were two little Libras happily co-habitating until his mother came to visit. Don’t get me wrong, she was an awesome lady. We got along smashingly at first. It was the day she noticed someone left a light on in the closet and discovered our makeshift grow room that everything changed. So that’s what that smell was! We only had eight plants but I guess that was enough to boggle the mind of a little 65 year old Chinese lady. She went berserk. At first she blamed me, then she blamed the town we lived in, then she blamed rap music. I should mention this was not the first time that her son had attempted to grow marijuana, he was what you would call a hobby horticulturalist.

Dixie’s Daily Tarot, August 30, 2010: Graceful Pluto Transformations
Astrology Meets Tarot

Nobody can tell me Tarot doesn’t have a sense of humor. I talk about how much I love the Death card from Shadowscapes, and naturally, it’s the card I ended up with today. No surprise, although it still made me smile. But it only came out because it had something to say.
Death, XIII of the major arcana, is obviously Pluto’s dominion. This is a lovely Phoenix, not as scary as many Death cards. But no matter how pretty I prefer to spin it, it’s still Death. It’s necessary and natural, but not especially easy.

Dixie’s Daily Tarot, August 28, 2010: Judgment Tips From a Pluto Transit
Astrology Meets Tarot
You see it go both ways; people are so often insanely hard or insanely easy on themselves. Either they did everything wrong or they did nothing wrong (and are pretty offended you might even suggest it). I tend to be hard, but even so, have blocked out stuff I don’t want to see badly enough. Sometimes for a good, long time.

Dixie’s Daily Tarot: June 6, 2010: Plutonian Sailing
Astrology Meets Tarot
Just minutes after seeing this card in a client reading, I drew it for my daily reading. The Six of Swords points to a journey—usually, an emotional journey, although sometimes physical. It’s often suggested she’s crossing the river Styx, so there’s a Pluto flavor. She is leaving her past behind, but with the swords sticking up from the water and hanging down from above, there’s certainly no promise there won’t be any pain to contend with en route (or at the destination). She’s prepared, however, to face whatever comes, standing resolutely in the front of the boat. I usually read her as being “cautiously optimistic.”

Who Did The Good Thing? Scorpio / 8th House Mashed With Neptune
Astrology in real life
Today I got tip from a client because she pulled a big coup in her life. She said it was me not her who did the good thing and I had to laugh because I have done this same thing.
Some months ago I had some “push” or uptick in business and I told HQ and the Mechanic that it was because one of the readers here. I gave this gal total credit and had not a thought otherwise so I was stunned when the Mechanic wrote back to say very politely that I may be overstating her contribution. Huh?
I realized he had a point. The 8000 posts on this blog probably have a lot to do with why people hire me but that does not mean I did not get an energetic push from this gal because I believe I did.

Bad Pluto (Scorpio Consuming You, Willfully And Consciously)
Ask the collective
Sorry for the phrasing of the title of this post. You’d think I could think of something more inspired but words fail.
By bad Pluto, I mean have you ever been stuck in a room or a situation with a nasty Scorpio? It’s no secret I favor Scorpio but I have met some nasty Plutonians in my time and when it happens it’s a true horror. It’s been awhile since I’ve written about this but I know I recalled one of my experiences and I am pretty sure I answered a couple of advice questions on this topic over the years but do you know this feeling? It’s like they are consuming you, willfully and consciously.
Who can relate… and as an aside, do we have any Scorpios willing to cop to indulging themselves in this kind of behavior?
Surviving Your Relationship With (Or As) A Sensitive Type
Astrology in real life
A lot of people clicked back to read the year ago post about the 8th house and the shadow today. They made remarks which prompted me to go back and read it myself. satori does the year ago posts now so I have no idea what is coming up on those but I saw that I wrote for whoever might understand what I was talking about understanding that not might be everyone so I’ve decided to try this again.

Dark Heart Redux: What Can We Learn From The Anti-Bitch?
My eye on the sky
People got extremely involved in the Dark Heart piece, thank you! That was enormously inspiring and satisfying and I am back with my next angle.
Your comments prompted me to better define the personality I was trying to type and get insight into. One example I landed on over and over was the type of woman who finds another women to feel superior to. I used the example of a gal who might peruse the gossip pages and look at celebrity cellulite so she could feel superior.
