I wish we could have a movie of the month club but can’t see how it could be done. We can compile a list of movies one would associate with each of the planets though so let’s give it a whirl starting with Scorpio, Pluto and the 8th house.
These movie picks should involve sex and psychology… perhaps betrayal, double cross, you get the idea. Please leave as many details as you can (without spoilers).

Can Intense Relationships With Scorpio Or Pluto Types Last Or Do They Die By Their Nature?
Ask the collective
Dear Elsa,
I am wondering about relationships where there a lot of Pluto aspects at work, deep intense crazy connections, that seem to be rearranging your inner organs, can they last?
What I mean is, if Pluto is transforming and obsessive, and related to death and rebirth, is it the kind of thing a relationship can have a lot of and survive? Is there sort of a built in time frame, a transformational process that naturally ends, or does it just keep working on you endlessly?

Pluto, Black Moon Lilith, And Being A Nasty-Ass Bitch
“And if you EVER try something like that again. I will KILL YOU!”
–Patsy Stone, Absolutely Fabulous
This weekend was interesting. Pluto trined Mars, Mercury and Venus and squared Black Moon Lilith. Interestingly, Lilith was also on my 8th house natal Lilith to the degree. It’s been quite the time, let me tell you. I lie in bed at night and try to think of something besides slapping people. I think of the self defense video guy, “elbow to the head, elbow to the head, knee to the groin, knee to the groin.”

How to Handle a Mars Pluto Transit (For Wimps Like Me)
Transits in transit…
So I’m recovering from my Mars Pluto opposition, with Mars as the transiting planet. Just a few days really, a few really intense days. Here’s how I got through it: the key for me was to steer the energy and let it out little by little, release it, and without making it bigger. For example, I listened to music that would make me move or walk faster, but avoided music that would make me feel over-excited or violent. The Pixies, for example, were a perfect choice, but Sonic Youth, on the other hand, was just too yang. I’m sure it’s different for everyone. A good symphony probably would have worked too.

Pluto, Scorpio, the 8th house: Intensity, False Accusations Of Rape, Etc.
Astrology in Real Life…
This is from 2007 but on my mind today so…
Neith writes: “There is this whole dynamic w/Mars in Scorp particularly, that attracts the submissives looking to get walked on…”
Neith, thanks for writing that on my blog! I have said many times if I were a man I would be very wary of being accused of rape… ala Kobe Bryant. Did that girl go to his room looking for sex but wind up getting more than she bargained for? I have no idea, but I do know there are men (usually black men) who spend their lives in prison for rapes they did not commit.

Pluto Aspects In Synastry by Satori
“If you see me coming better step aside; a lot of men didn’t and a lot of men died.”
–Sixteen Tons, Merle Travis
Pluto is depth, transformation, power. It is slow-moving so the aspects that it makes are experienced most keenly when in relation to a personal planet. Aspects it makes to outer planets are more generational. For example, Pluto to Neptune is something you experience along with everyone in your age group as opposed to Pluto to the Moon. The moon moves so quickly that where it falls in your chart is a more individual affair. The same relational energy holds true when we talk about interaspects, aspects from chart to chart.

Name That Transit by Satori
“How am I supposed to tell you something when you faint like that?”
–Linus Van Pelt
Several years ago I was yapping at Elsa about some problem or other I was having (I have long since forgotten what it was) and she said to me, “uh, I don’t think that’s Pluto. That sounds like a Saturn problem to me.” Saturn was transiting my 12th, so maybe that’s why I was refusing to look at the problem. Neptune was also transiting the midpoint of my Neptune Sun and Saturn Moon. I was pretty much confused about the nature of my self-indulgent asshattery. Elsa’s cool like that. She tells you the truth but it’s up to you to hear and apply it.

Astrology Meets Tarot
I was feeling down, having heard some unexpected and upsetting news about folks I care about. So I decided to reach for the Psychic Tarot Oracle. I often like Osho Zen for when I’m feeling out of sorts, but I wanted something a little more optimistic. The Zen deck can be kind of…stark, y’kno?
I wasn’t feeling up to stark. I was okay by this point. Stark was liable to make me go all weepy again. While the Tarot Oracle card was appropriate for the situation, it was at least not disturbing to look at.

Dixie’s Daily Tarot, September 10, 2010: Loving the Virgo Moon Man
Astrology Meets Tarot
My husband is a double Virgo; I sometimes refer to him as “Captain Virgo” because he wears his Virgo like an Alpha geek. I usually like folks who have their Sun and Moon in the same sign, because they tend to act consistently with their feelings. What you see is what you get, and I appreciate that. That’s true of him. Since we’re talking double Virgo, I’ve also seen him adjust his emotional responses when they don’t stack up logically. I think this is a very nifty trick, and am working on learning it from him.
