25 years ago, Annalisa theorized that transits of the planet the rules the chart are always beneficial.  This was innovative at the time because both my sister and I have Capricorn rising and the widely held wisdom at the time was that you were uniformly up a creek when Saturn came ’round.

Her basis was that the individual is naturally attuned to the energy of the chart ruler so had little problem aligning and while this makes logical sense I have never been able to draw a firm conclusion even though both my sister and I always benefit from Saturn transits because here’s the question:

Is it because she is right about this, or do we benefit because we both have Saturn strongly placed and well aspected?  In other words, if Saturn were trashed in our charts would we still fare well? Libra has never been able to decide.

Is the chart ruler friendly to the chart… Period?

Dear Elsa,

I am wondering about relationships where there a lot of Pluto aspects at work, deep intense crazy connections, that seem to be rearranging your inner organs, can they last?

What I mean is, if Pluto is transforming and obsessive, and related to death and rebirth, is it the kind of thing a relationship can have a lot of and survive? Is there sort of a built in time frame, a transformational process that naturally ends, or does it just keep working on you endlessly?

I agree that Virgo is underrated as is Capricorn. Pisces is rarely valued outside of being a sex toy for Scorpio so I would call them underrated as well. I can’t see that any of the signs are overrated. You?

What happens to people, karmically, if they cheat on their husbands or wives? I know a woman with whom I work with, and she has 2 kids and she cheats on her husband with multiple men and he has no idea. Like, is there anything karmically that comes around to people?

Hi Elsa, I’ve been noticing lately that when in discussions with friends their Sun sign brings out my house placement. For example my Moon is in Leo in the 4th house. When talking to my Leo sun sign friends we end up always talking about our early families: our parents , our grandparents, aunts and uncles and siblings. Same with Libra ruling my 6th House. With my Libra Sun sign friends we invariably end up talking about our health issues.

What do you make of this? Can others relate? Or is this so obvious and basic astrology?

There are a lot of passionate comments on the Scorpio freezing people out blog. It occurs to me if you’re boring, a Gemini will lose interest and they’ll be out of there. They’re not going to hang around with you when there are endless other options to explore.

I like Aquarians and they like me too, short term. I generally turn out to be waaaaaay to dense and intense for long term association and was dumped by many of them up  until I learned how important it is to give these people space.

My conscience, or something else, is bothering me, and I’m not sure whether I should be listening to it.

I recently cut a guy loose rather abruptly because of something he wrote in one of his emails that sounded creepy to me. He believed God might want him to focus on providing a safe, secure environment for his tenant, an unwed 22-year-old who just found out she’s pregnant. For instance, he might not insist she pay rent.

This guy is a Pisces and was given to talking about the charity he owes to his fellow humans. But from other things he’d mentioned it seems he has a particular interest in being charitable to very young women. (He’s 53.)

I’m asking because I have Mars in Pisces – not a good placement by all accounts. But it’s conjunct my Sun, opposite Uranus and Pluto, and disposited by Jupiter in Aries. It’s been a weird combo to handle. The Mars energy is ANY-thing but sluggish and Piscean, but it’s been difficult to channel effectively.”
