I went off on my boards this morning as I do from time to time. I get pissed off, that’s why. I get so pissed off over who and what I am mistaken for and I am never exactly sure when this is going to happen.

I don’t mean the projection. That’s a constant for anyone who is going to put themselves out there for public consumption, especially if they have Neptune conjunct the Midheaven like I do.

What I mean is I don’t know when I will have angry reaction as opposed to my default reaction which is transcendence, but I may have a clue as of this morning. I can’t say this is true all the time, but it seems I am most likely to go off when the projection is widely disparate from what is going on in my real life, at the moment the insult comes in.

I have Neptune in Scorpio on the Midheaven. The midheaven rules the “public” and often times I get out there and pick up all kinds of stuff… really dark stuff.

This happened to me yesterday at the grocery store and the fact is, I don’t know for sure that it is not coming from inside me. Maybe these are my dark thoughts and feelings and I assign them to you and you and you and you. Or maybe what I sense really is what is running through people’s minds and hearts.

I suspect it’s the latter which does not excuse me because I am a people too. But does anyone have any experience with this? More specifically, have you ever picked up on something you thought belonged to the collective and then realized it was you, all you – not them but you?

I have written more than 100 posts about Neptune on the midheaven and this will be another.  If you have Neptune conjunct your midheaven or Pisces ruling the 10th your public image is going to morph.  This is inevitable. It is outside your control.  If you want to zero in on what I’m talking about just think of a celebrity whose image is static.  There are plenty of people like that…and there are plenty of people like me.

I told someone today that I have a lifelong habit of falling from grace.  I don’t think this can be avoided with a chart like mine, with Neptune on the Midheaven among other things.

I am always nervous when people elevate me in some way because as hard as I try to do well in my life, I am guaranteed to disappoint everyone over time.  I am just not going to be able to live up to a standard in someone’s imagination.

I am a plain person here, struggling and trying and I am nothing more than that and nothing less. You can tell me that I let you down. I will  feel bad about it, I will apologize but as I told the woman who wrote me today, I wonder if I was ever as good as you thought I was in the first place.

Who can relate?

A person’s chart shows itself at a very early age. If you happen to have planets in signs or house that taboo, too bad! It is not like you are going to be able to avoid this stuff just because you’re 8 years old.

If this is hard to accept it may make it easier or more accessible if you apply the same principles to a more comfortable chart. My sister’s son comes to mind. He’s Gemini with a Libra rising, a very smart and sociable kid. Consequently, growing up he was selected for anything and everything that required these skills.

I work with a lot of people who deal with Neptune in various ways. Perhaps their strength and confidence comes and goes. I told one gal that when I was feeling punky, I could throw a video up here and let my hologram stand in. I happen to feel great today but I could be circling the drain and feeling horrific, put this talking head up here and people would or could look at that it leaving reality (Saturn) obscured (Neptune).

This illustration has broad application. I am always talking about discerning information that comes in and you can see just how easy it is to trick and manipulate… everything / anything. It’s like throwing up a shiny penny. People look at it and the person who threw the coin can act while people are distracted, even if the action is as innocuous as going to sleep.
