Don’t Want To Know Me? Your Loss.

I watched a movie the other night, The Missing Person. It was greatly interesting to me. The main character was a loner-type man. He was a heavy drinker; bumbling but either clever or lucky it was hard to tell which.  Film noir.

More Thoughts On Chiron by Satori

November 11th, 2010 @ 2:29 pm by Satori

“Milton was right. The choice of every lost soul can be expressed in the words “Better to reign in Hell than to serve in Heaven.” There is always something they insist on keeping even at the price of misery.”
–C. S. Lewis

entering hellPeppermint made some comments on the Intro To Chiron blog that helped me to refine my thinking about Chiron’s function in the chart. I was reminded of the movie What Dreams May Come and a particular character who was the navigator on a trip into hell. I thought of him as a chironic character, but in fact all three of the characters making the trip into hell were functioning in that capacity, but for three different reasons. Each was acting out of a different wounding.

Movies by the Virgo Avenger

October 12th, 2010 @ 7:00 am by Virgo Avenger

Just a male Virgo’s point of view; # Seventeen

movie nightI like to watch movies, not at the theater, they are communist charging way to much money, but on the tele via, Netflix, HBO, Showtime, etc…

I love to watch the old movies, the ones as a child if I was forced to watch I would pull my hair out. I also like new and all in between. I do have my favorites however.

Speaking Of Being Eaten By A Bear – Double Taurus, Timothy Treadwell

August 2nd, 2010 @ 9:43 am by Elsa

Astrology in Real Life…

timothy treadwell bearsFrom 2007:

Speaking of bears, have you seen the movie, “Grizzly Man”? It’s about Timothy Treadwell, the man who was eaten by a bear, along with his girlfriend after spending 13 summers living among them. It’s a heck of a story. The deaths were recorded on tape and in the movie the story is presented very fairly to both the man and the bear.

Some people consider his death a tragic accident and others believe he was crazy and it was only a matter of time. After all, these are bears you’re messing with!

leonard cohen energy of slavesAlison writes on the Pluto Uranus conjunction blog

In the sixties we did see new ways of being; the pill gave sexual liberation, revolutionary art, poetry, music and fashion. However, having observed my fellow peers with Uranus conjunct Pluto in Virgo there is a deep conservatism in this bunch. Like the Virgo is private and this group can keep their radicalness private and not on display. Some friends (of this group) have very mainstream, suburban, straight lives on the surface – but dig a little deeper and there will be an (one ?) aspect of their lives that is very naughty, risque and/or potentially criminal, experimental, creative. Many choose safe lives on the surface whilst being underground mavericks. Would love to hear more from Elsa with her knowledge an experiences with this curious lot.

leonard cohenIn search of something else, I came across this series of posts from March, 2007. I am pulling them up now because my husband is home for the next few days. We have an interesting weekend planned that will distract me from the blog so I thought I’d re-run something meaty.

My friend, satori is a Pisces born in the 60′a with the Pluto Uranus conjunction in Virgo opposing her Sun. With Uranus transiting Pisces, I have been witnessing her liberation and kickin’ it up a gear whenever I think I can.

chariotsfiredm2610_468x340.jpgContinuing on the astrology-themed movie series (see Scorpio titles here), how about some Jupiter-themed titles? Jupiter rules outdoor sports, higher education, religion, luck, storytelling, etc. Personally I love feel good movies and can think of several titles.

Fighting For Freedom And Survival

September 27th, 2009 @ 5:47 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

A few weeks ago the soldier and I watched a movie, I thought it was great.  Matter of fact I called satori and told her I thought the movie was near perfect. I liked it’s tone, the casting, the costuming and the story was haunting to me.  The movie is, Defiance and I can’t seem to stop thinking about it.

I considered writing about it last week and checked the ratings and reviews on the movie out of curiosity. I guess I wanted to know if anyone else was bugged out by it or what they thought about it or whatever. I was fairly surprised to see the fairly low ratings and the reviews which were decent but qualified so I let the writing idea go at the time but I still can’t stop thinking about this movie so here I am.

plutoThis is from 2008, I have a new one for tomorrow.

I watched this video a few times today. I am memorized by it because I can remember what I was feeling as I was making it. I was in the middle of my Pluto Moon transit and I’d been crying for days.

Crying was usual but you have to just keep moving through so I made this video. It is a continuation on my series on synastry and the limitations of astrology but I took a different tack as you’ll see. I think the it came out rich, emotional and earthy but I am not sure this is apparent.

Movies, Love and Neptune

Astrology in real life

I heard from one of my oldest friends this morning. She’s slowly coming back into my life, I think. She is truly one of the best women I have ever known in my life and she’s had a rough row over the last 20 years. I have had a rough row myself.
