Saturn Moon: Feeling Responsible

June 7th, 2011 @ 12:01 pm by Satori

“You can’t save me; you can’t change me. Well I’m waiting for my wake-up call, and everything, everything’s my fault.”
–Save Me, Unwritten Law

Frank and Alice, The HoneymoonersThe moon, its sign, aspects and house placement, is representative of our emotional body and what we need. Saturn is restriction, responsibility, rules, tenacity and “do the right thing.” Put these two together and you get a specific energy signature, but as with anything the form it takes spans a continuum. What you wind up with can be anything from emotional integrity to its opposite.

Saturn Moon: Control And Mother by Satori

December 28th, 2010 @ 2:03 pm by Satori

“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”
–Maya Angelou

flu shotWith a Capricorn moon I already have a Saturn-moon influence in my chart. Currently Saturn is squaring that moon, with the transiting moon conjunct. Transiting Mars conjuncts my moon. Want to hear the upshot? I don’t feel so good. Moon, Saturn, Mars backing my own moon into a corner is what it feels like. This all takes place in Cardinal signs for extra control flavor.

Speaking of Heightened Sensitivities… Plus Depression Update

February 16th, 2009 @ 10:57 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

I am on my 3rd day with no sugar and all symptoms of depression have lifted. In my case it seems a very simple Saturn Moon equation: Control the diet, or feel depressed!

The problem now is I am just a like alcoholic 3 days later. I feel no problems at all and there is a risk of telling myself, “Oh, that wasn’t so bad. I’m sure a cookie won’t hurt…” ::rolls eyes::

Astrology Today: Violent Polarization

September 4th, 2008 @ 12:02 am by Elsa

My eye on the sky

libraThe Moon is in Scorpio is in easy aspect to the Sun and Saturn in Virgo which offers the opportunity to infuse your work with depth of feeling. There is a marked seriousness here though, make no mistake.

Jupiter is also exactly trine the Sun and Saturn so commit to your plans to the future and ready yourself to take the first (or the next) steps.

I can’t sign off without referencing the Venus, Mercury, Mars conjunction in Libra because it’s just so remarkable. This country (the United States) is violently polarized at the moment and that Libra is just shakin’ like a leaf unable to pick a side.

Digging To The Center Of The Earth… Exposes Your Astrological Personality

June 15th, 2008 @ 1:33 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

hole-center-of-earth.jpgAbout a week ago, Vidroid started digging a hole in the backyard alongside the soldier working on his giant sawhorses. Later the soldier told me that Vid said he was digging to the center of the earth.

“Yeah?” I said. “I had the same ambition when I was a kid.  Confidence and delusion, it runs in the family.”

He just stared and then 3 days later, Vid’s friend was over and they were digging some more. Keep in mind my grandfather dug a hole in his yard big enough to make an underground house… with a shovel! The soldier reported in:

“They made plans,’ he said. “They have a list of things they’re going to take.”

broken-hearth01.gifSo Vidroid has maintained his friendship with the quirky Aquarian even though he gets dumped hard every now and again.  The dumpings have slowed over time and last week we got a little (possible / probable) insight into this.

Vid was at this boy’s house and called me asking if they could come to his house instead. I told him that would be fine and drove over to get him.  Five minutes later both boys jumped in the car, both of them sitting in the back seat the way they do.  My son blurted his relief.

Apparently Quirky Aquarian’s mother had slapped him in the face – Twice.  Stunned and uncomfortable, I turned and looked over my shoulder.

Voice Of Saturn Square The Moon… Goddess Speaks

saturnMom, frequent commenter, step parenting specialist, low carb eater and long term supporter of the Elsa blog, “goddess” aka Dixie Vogel writes:

All this talk of Saturn had me dividing the ages by 7 to if certain events in my life were hit by Saturn energy…And sure enough, Saturn had his “time-to-grow-up-Honey” hand in the pot many times over. My Saturn energy is tied up a lot in parenting. With a square to my moon, I guess you could say I’ve got Saturn Mommy Issues.

Starting with my own Mom, appropriately enough. She was a kid who couldn’t wait to grow up and, Bam! She did it triple-time. She hung out in bars at 14, having faked her birth certificate to get an ID. My mom got married at 14, and had her first child at 15. She was overweight, and married the first guy that seemed interested. She was in a hurry to grow up and get out of the house.
