All this Aries stuff is in my 8th house and I’ve been in a dark mood lately.
…Just in time for the family gathering at Albert’s parent’s house! Yay! Fun times!
Albert’s mom has moon opposite Pluto and some control issues around food to go with it so we were strictly forbidden to “bring anything.” She said she doesn’t want us to have to go to “any trouble.”

3 Years Ago On The Elsa Blog: She’s a Woman’s Woman With Sisters All Over This Land: One Of Them Is Cheating With Her Husband
Astrology In Real Life
From 2007:
I consider myself a man’s woman and I don’t think many would argue. But I am also a feminist with serious credentials. But this blog is not about me. It’s about I woman I know who fascinates me because she has such little use for men!
She’s a married, heterosexual but her husband is a complete afterthought to her. She’s pretty much disinterested in sex. What she loves is her sisters… which is basically any woman of any age who lives on this planet.
She spends most her life supporting other women by being politically involved and planning or participating in women’s groups or circles. And she is always trying to get me to come to one of these things to which I respond…
“Why would I do that? There are no men there,” I say, and she roars laughing in response. Continue reading 3 Years Ago On The Elsa Blog: She’s a Woman’s Woman With Sisters All Over This Land: One Of Them Is Cheating With Her Husband

The Moon In Astrology: Mess With Blood And Whoosh!
Astrology in real life
I’ve seen it a few times now. Someone attacks me and my sister, Annalisa flares and strikes. Someone attacks her and I do the same. I don’t think we can help this, you’re messin’ with blood.
I cop being fascinated with the Moon, especially the Pluto-flavored Moon, detriment or no.

The Pluto Moon Influence… Elsa P And Her Desires and Methods
Astrology in real life
The Moon in aspect to Pluto is really kicking me up. I have a strong Pluto touched Moon in my natal chart, the same in my progressed chart and it shows up in my solar arc as well. As you can see (or will see shortly) I am very tapped into that which is instinctual or very deeply rooted.
I have been debating my “people changing” theory with the soldier throughout the day. He is headed here so his energy is applying. I can feel him coming closer and I am pretty much winning the debate which no one really expects to happen when we discuss something because his ideas are so fixed.

Astrology Right Now.. January 9th, 10th, 11th: Comfort Food Is Not A Dirty Word(s) aka Channeling Your Ancestors
Astrology in real life
The Moon is in Cancer opposing Pluto in Capricorn – This calls for comfort food which is another concept that has an undeserved bad connotation. For some reason our culture vilifies various things…. quite stupidly I think. I address this stuff now and and then. The idea that “power” is bad or “ambition” is bad and more recently, my remark in that story, a keen mind is just a keen mind and we can’t judge it good or bad until we see how it is applied.

Pluto Transit To The Moon – Mine: How To Help People Dealing With Loss And Trauma
Astrology in real life
llama writes on Pluto Moon Back To School Night…
Sometimes, especially with grief, etc., when people DO talk you wish they hadn’t. Better for them to say nothing than say something callous because they don’t know what to say.
llama, this is a very good point. A lot of people who commented thought these people should have said something to me and they might have but I can’t say I wish they would have. It was very emotional for me going into this new version of my daughter’s old school because I had such high hopes for her. She did eventually test in the 99th percentile – the girl is a bonafide genius and it was just never supposed to turn out like it has.

The Mars Pluto Opposition Redux: What Is The Ultimate Result Of A Trauma?
Commenting on the comments
moonpluto asks on the Mars Pluto opposition blog:
“Does Mars Pluto do what it does and then leave… something fresh in its place? Or does it just leave the dead bleeding on the ground?”
Doreen Gordon has a good answer:
“Well I’m not Elsa, but I will offer my own experience which is that whatever Pluto seems to take away is always ultimately transmuted into something else, fresh, new, and sparkling. Pluto rules both death and re-birth, i.e., not so much death as transformation and transmutation, like the phoenix that goes up in flames and then is hatched anew. However…it isn’t instantaneous, think of new growth after a forest fire or a volcano. The land is usually barren for many months, sometimes years, and then when you least expect it, there are beautiful green seedlings dotting the landscape. Plutonian loss is usually accompanied by profound grief. Think of Elizabeth Kubler-Ross’s five stages of dying. If one is willing to make the descent with Pluto, what one encounters upon the ascent is well worth it although it will not have been easy. I say this having a Scorpio Moon squared by Pluto, i.e., what author/astrologer Judy Hall calls a Hades Moon
.”
I agree with Doreen but think that some are in fact left “dead and bleeding on the ground” but this is only because they refuse to process and progress. Don’t you know people who are stuck and have been for 30 years? I do. They probably still wind up as Doreen outlines but it may take another lifetime or two or three.
Others process very quickly like I do. I can see the new growth within a week for sure, if not within 24 hours. I am so adept (practiced) at processing trauma I can grieve and celebrate the birth almost simultaneously by flowing back and forth.
When it comes to trauma, are you a slow or fast processor? How does this show in your chart?

Speaking of astrology and timing, today’s Moon / Venus / Pluto hits my chart hard as does the Sun, Black Moon conjunction in Scorpio and things are popping. I’ve enough going on I should probably just put on my black clothes and simmer, but I have a storytelling gene and fact is I can do two things at once so I may as well.
So Moon Pluto, the black Moon, Venus with Pluto… these are all signatures of a powerful (or powerless) woman. We’re definitely talking about a woman, one back from the dead, or from your past.
With Venus involved there is a love relationship or maybe just your vanity on deck. In whatever case all this stuff is swirling around all of us and if you happen to be like me (or the soldier, whose angles are involved) then it’s very, very personal.
“I had this thought about your mother,” I said, today on the phone with the soldier. “You know how she took those pictures of me and then kept them for almost 30 years? She released them when she wanted something to move in the world. Something happened when she did that.” Continue reading Black Moon, Scorpio Moon, Hades Moon, Pluto Moon, 8th House Moon, La La La
She’s Disinterested In Love Relationships, Her Friends Are Disturbed: Aquarius Sun, Scorpio Moon Conjunct Pluto
Dear Elsa,
I don’t know what the matter is with me. I know I’m young (19) but I’m simply incapable of holding a relationship. That isn’t even a problem to me; I really don’t like them and I am just wondering if maybe any of this can be explained through astrology?
I’m an excellent friend. I invest much time and devotion to my platonic relationships with no question or bother. But when it comes to that very same devotion in the romantic sense, I’m turned off. In fact, it sickens me. I’m so disgusted by the idea of dependency, particularly in the boyfriend/girlfriend sense.
Whenever I find someone I like, as soon as I know I can have them I’m bored. Or if that’s not enough, I’m pursuing five people at once to keep me occupied.
I know it’s unfair to those I’m flirting and fooling around with, but I told them in plain language I am not interested in a relationship. Still, they become attached where I simply do not, so I up and leave. Some of my friends find this a bit disturbing. Is there anything the matter with me?
Non-Committal
United States
Dear Non-Committal,
No, there is nothing wrong with you as far I can see. What you are doing may be non-conforming but you are honest and moral so I don’t know what else people should expect from you.
With your Moon conjunct Pluto in Scorpio I would go as far as to say that people are projecting their shadow onto you. By that I mean, part of them would like to be just like you. But rather than accept the dichotomy in their own person, they hang the part that “disturbs” them on you and this is what you are feeling.
But I also think this is somewhat true in reverse. You are an Aquarian and you sound just like one. You want to be “friends” but you don’t want anyone to get too close! Problem with that is again your Moon Pluto, which yearns for a deep merge and exchange with another person.
This is in your chart, though apparently deeply subconscious at the moment – which I would not worry about if I were you. Because what you’re doing right now is exactly right. There is no reason to change one hair on your head. But don’t be surprised one day when you meet someone who knocks your socks off when they access you on this other level. Then you will discover you are deeper than you can possibly imagine.
But now? Now you’re living and you’re living well. It is okay to be a person who experiments and is easily bored. And I can tell you with near certainty, the people who find you “disturbing” are disturbed themselves. You sound like an inordinately “together” 19 year old to me, so don’t let people hang that crap on you. And be aware you are likely to fight this all your life so you may as well get good at it. Good at scraping the crap people put on you and throwing it back, that is. Or at least throwing it down. But whatever you do, don’t internalize it because it has nothing to do with you.
Good luck.

Some days ago, I mentioned I had a mailbox full of Scorpio Moons. One gal I was going to consult with, the other two were requests for advice. I was throwing meat, buying time, maybe you remember. In whatever case, I got the work done.
On the questions, the first will load tomorrow and it wound up taking four blogs, so it will run through Thursday. Tomorrow’s post may be delayed because my editor is out of town…getting back late tonight and he may not get to it until tomorrow morning. So if that happens, you’ll know why.
Speaking of my editor, HQ, he only works on the advice posts. So all glaring errors in the other posts are mine and if you tell me about them, I will fix them. He’s also discovered something after the hundreds of posts he’s edited. That is, that posts from Pisces are the most challenging top edit. “Why can’t everyone be a Virgo?” he laments.
But what I was going to mention is my own Pluto transit to the Moon. Pluto is station in the sky right now, in exact aspect to my natal Moon. Hearing that, the eyes of the astrologers reading pop out.
So it’s been very interesting to have these intense posts to work on, while my own life is erupting. Actually, “erupted” is a better word. Pluto is slow moving planet (240 years to transit the zodiac). And I believe transits are far and away most potent when applying. When they’re coming in, that is. By the time they are exact, you are well acclimated.
Now I know a lot of astrologers feel otherwise. You read, particularly around Pluto that the transit is in effect for 5 degrees on either side of the exact aspect. Some people say 10! But I have been watching transits for a very long time and this is not my experience.
Now it may be that my experience is attributable to my ‘nature’ which tends to be very forward-looking. Very Jupitertarian, that is. Eyes on the horizon, I don’t really care what happened back whenever. So the last thing I am going to do is look back at a transit that was exact 3 years ago and think it’s still in effect! I’m a ‘been there, done that, what’s up next…” type person. Other people are the exact opposite and this could explain a lot.
But anyway, I thought I’d mention this. Because Pluto-Moon and Scorpio Moon are simpatico. And I thought disclosing this would add a wrinkle to the reading for some, and I am all for that.
