40 Years Old And Never Bothered To Decorate Her House: Astrology-Based Advice
Dear Elsa,
I grew up in a family of 6 kids, big house, great holidays, etc. My situation is this: as an adult, I have never had a pulled-together house. I am in my 40′s and this has held true through 2 marriages and my current stint as a single parent. It isn’t simply varying periods of disorganization or disinterest in decorating, but having the bare minimum of both furniture (some castoffs) and functional objects. Money is not the problem.
Every house I’ve lived in looks like I just moved in. I can truly say that I don’t know anyone who is like this; some newlyweds and college kids are better off! I’m almost afraid of having a house that is too “established” and settled. None of the places I’ve lived since leaving home felt like a place I wanted to put down roots, although I’ve lived in the same city for the past 18 years!
Am I very kooky? How can I pull my house together so I can have people over and dinner parties and all the rest? What is going on with this?

Dear Homeless,
You are asking the wrong person because I live just like you. And I just knew when I was plugging in your data I was going to see a Jupiter Moon contact and sure enough, there it is! I’ve got the same and I can tell you exactly what is going on. We only feel at home when we are moving! “Papa was a rolling stone… wherever he laid his hat was his home…”

Moon Jupiter And Humor
“I’m sorry, you’ll have to speak a little louder, Bert! I can’t hear you! I have a banana in my ear!”
–Ernie, Sesame Street
The Full Moon today was on my older daughter’s Moon Jupiter in the 12th house. I don’t see any apparent effect but she’s in good spirits. Having a buoyant heart and good humor is one of the benefits of Moon Jupiter. An emotionally buoyant nature often has the side of effect of producing a good sense of humor, a goofy sense of humor. All the three of my kids have it, the conjunction, the quincunx and the square. They got it from their father.

Dear Elsa,
I liked your happiness posts. I would love to see more astrology on this. What do you look at as a happiness base? Jupiter? Moon? Difficult or easy Saturn, Mars, Venus? Probably everything but do you have a standard procedure for a basic happy-meter?

From 2008 – Have you ever heard that Saturn was the antidote for and overload of Jupiter? Here’s how that works in real life aka “How the perennially restless can cut a break”.

Seeing my sister’s writing on this blog illuminates things for me and probably does the same for you. One thing that comes across loud and clear is she does not bash other women.

She’s on the same subject here. She is predicting potential doom as I prepare to go “east” and meet my prospective in laws.
She’s got Capricorn (doom, realist) combined with Moon Jupiter in Sadge (blunt) and the family Mars Mercury signature, hence the swearing below the break.

Two Timing Boyfriend Marrying The Other Woman He Hid For 18 Months: Astrology Based Advice
Dear Elsa,
I have been dating someone for the past year and half, only to find out through a mutual friend that this person has been in a relationship with someone else for the same amount of time. He has actually been living with her for the past year and half and will be marrying her this coming September. Of course I cannot describe the pain and disappointment, especially since I was totally open with him about everything and he made me a promise that he was honest as well. I was devastated to find out he didn’t even have the guts to tell me that he was getting married but that he would continue to see me while he was making plans to get married.
What I cannot seem to get over is why. Why would someone want to hurt someone else who showed them nothing but love and respect? Why play with other people’s feelings and why think its ok to do such a thing? How do Ii move on from the “why”? It’s not even that he is getting married, I have come to terms with that. It is the “why” that I cannot get over. Thanks.

Dear Betrayed,
With your Moon in Sagittarius conjunct Jupiter, you value truth and look for meaning in your experiences. Your Sun in Taurus indicates your self esteem would be intact even after suffering something of this magnitude, so you are acting in complete accord with your chart… which is always a good sign.
As to the “why” he did this, there are probably an endless number of reasons or explanations but I will give you mine and it’s very simple: people are individuals.
People set their own standards for their behavior and if they put their mind to it they can justify anything. A person like you can get lost trying to understand or comprehend how a person might act in such a low-minded way. But when you do this, you are actually being very narrow-minded yourself and if you open your mind (a Sagittarius forte), I think you can resolve this pretty readily.
For example, there are sociopaths in society. Sociopaths have no feelings, they have no remorse and you will be waiting a long time (until hell freezes over) waiting for a change of heart when there is no heart. It is really is this simple, especially for someone like you… a natural storyteller. Just tell yourself a new (true) story:
“I feel in with a sociopath and got my ass handed to me. Egads, what an experience. Pity the other woman – Thank God I got out of that alive – Whew!”
Good luck.

Pluto Transit To The Moon – Mine: Hard To Kill
Astrology in real life
Yesterday I wrote about Christopher Reeve, a man so buoyant that even when he’s dead, he’s still – UP. I mean, it’s just impossible to think of the guy and end on a down note.
Lupa came on and said that like me, she could access happiness via focusing on the feeling of the sun on her skin and credited her natal Saturn in Pisces (A Saturn Neptune exchange).
Well my daughter has Saturn in Pisces. She also has Jupiter in Sagittarius trine a 9th house Moon and I am telling you that girl is not going down. Anyway you turn it, she is a streak across the sky and it occurs to me with Pluto retrograde applying in aspect to my Moon that my daughter is one of those people (like Christopher Reeve) who never really die. Oh, maybe in a 100 years but you get the idea. My daughter is UP.
She is up and even when she is down she is actually up, I think she gets it from her Mom.
(Her Mom gets it from Henry.)
Does he look dead in that picture? Of course not.
Up! Up, Up, Up!

Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 9 Years Old – His Mother, She’s Like A Curse
Astrology in real life
Today I dropped my son at the bus stop for his last day of school. I was singing on the way, something like this:
“I love, Love, LOVE you! I Luuuuvvvvvvvvve, la la luvvvvvvve you!”
I don’t sing very well but never pay attention to this unless it is called to my attention which is what happened this morning when I pulled up at the curb and stopped to let him out. There was one girl there, waiting for the bus.
“That’s not Emmy is it?” I asked, understanding she is now getting off the bus with him, one stop ahead of her usual. Might she show up in the morning too?
“That’s not Emmy,” he said, putting his hand on the door handle. “Now, Mom. Is there anything else you want to say before I open this door and be humiliated?”
I stared. I was stunned and then broke into a grin because he was grinning himself, slightly. “Do you mean you wouldn’t rather I not sing for that girl.”
He nodded.
“Okay then. Gotcha. It’s safe – You can open the door.
He got out and I drove away thinking, this is a curse. He’s a Sun Saturn (take me serious!) with a Jupiter Moon mother (rollicking good times) – What’s the boy to do?
Do you have a similar curse in your chart?
