If you have a Scorpio moon, this means your mother is or was manipulative. I have seen people claim that and it simply isn’t true. There are plenty of people with their moon in Scorpio who have no complaint with their mother.  There are others who do have a mother with dark energy or some kind of sordid past.

If you’re in the latter group, this can contribute to your tendency to feel repulsive. I was talking to a gal like this the other day.

She said that her (lousy) mother was the only example she had. I said, her mother was the only example she needs.

My husband is a pretty affable person. He certainly is to me. He is not at all moody or brooding, in spite of having his Moon in Scorpio.

I have known my husband ‘cross 30 years time and can count his “bad moods” on one hand. I am not talking about us fighting which we do with regularity. I am talking about a foul and nasty mood. He doesn’t really have them but last night he feel into not just a bad mood, but a putrid mood that broke all records.

Many if not most may think this is morbid but I think it’s interesting for some reason and also having to do with love. I was sitting here looking around before I wrote the Rotting Home post and I had a random thought cross my mind. If I were to die tonight, what would people think when they came in my home? What would my home tell them about me?

As it turns out, it would not tell them much. Everything in this house (belonging to me) is absolutely discardable other than my pictures, I’d say. The house is not very clean; I’m an old lady so really you could just cart me away and there would be nothing remarkable about it. I am just the kind of person you would have had to know.

I have meant to watch, The Gunfighter with Gregory Peck for almost 25 years but I never got around to it until last night.  The timing was perfect I suppose.

I became interested in seeing the movie in the mid-80′s when Bob Dylan referenced it in his song, Brownsville Girl on the album Knocked Out Loaded. I was captivated with this album in spite of the fact it was almost universally panned and if I were to name the reason I never actually saw the movie, it would be because Dylan seemed to sum it up so well:

This post is for old-timers and others who can hitchhike.

I’ve been going to the same hair salon for many years. I had a double Gemini stylist do my hair for a number of years until she finally retired to work exclusively in the salon her lover installed in her home. She died very suddenly about 3 months ago, shocking us.

I was in the salon today and my current stylist got a phone call.  She said, “Judy” but I heard, “Julie” which is the gal who died and it made me shiver.   Julie had a vibrant personality. She was a very healthy gym rat and it’s just hard to believe she’s dead.  But this did not at all prepare me for what happened next.

I woke up this morning with what I call the creeping dread.  Sure enough, the Moon is in Scorpio aspecting Pluto and planets in Pisces. That ought to do it, eh?

The creeping dread is familiar enough but with Mars and Neptune aspecting my natal Uranus, I want nothing to do with it.  I want to detach, have space, etc. which is hard to accomplish when the dread is inside me.

As for real life events that would give rise to these feelings, they exist.

Some of you know our family dog, Lucky aka Cluck and/or Clunk had to put to sleep last night. This is on the heels of other dog, Dora, passing a few months ago and this hit my son and I hard. Part of the reason is because the two dogs passed so close together but there is more to it than that.
