capricorn dam trollAnswering dreamsAreality’s very good questions:

“Elsa, you said: “My partner is emotional, needy, and dependent. That’s not me or anything…”

Were you being facetious here????”

No I was not being facetious. What Capricorn wants to admit they neeeeed anything? That’d be the other guy!

“I’m confused now. Am I supposed to be looking at what’s IN my 7th House AND what the cusp is?”

Yes.

If so, how to integrate it is the key to something? WHAT?

No you don’t “integrate” it because it is already integrated. Your seventh house is part of you not the other guy. It’s your chart so how could it be theirs? So forget integrating that which is already integrated.

projectorThere were all kinds of questions on the 1 Minute Video: Astrology – Psychology, The 7th House And Projection In Relationship where I talked about the phenomena of how the 7th house gets projected in love relationships. I am going to answer some of them so here goes:

jamie asks:

“What if you don’t have any in the 7th, Elsa? Aries is on my Desc. (I married an Aries Moon.)

If you don’t have anything in the seventh house you consider the sign on the cusp. Aries on the cusp of the seventh is akin to have Mars in the seventh house… PERIOD.

If you want more information you can look to the condition of Mars in your chart and so on but to keep this very simple, Aries on the cusp of the seventh = Mars in the seventh. Once you can understand and assimilate that, then go looking for more.

As an example as a Capricorn rising I have Cancer on the seventh. This is akin to having the Moon in the seventh. My partner is emotional, needy, dependent. That’s not me or anything…

What sign is on the cusp of your 7th house? Can you see how you project these qualities onto the other?

Cancer Woman Frustrated In Long Distance Relationship: 7th House Aquarius Moon

July 17th, 2007 @ 3:41 am by Elsa

Dear Elsa,

I am young woman who’s started a relationship with a guy who lives thousands of miles away.

At first we agreed to “just try it and see how it works,” but it is becoming increasingly frustrating. Both of us desire to have a future together but I am confused about what to do about the present situation. He is an Aries and I’m a Cancer, and people often tell me such a union is destined for failure.

Please help!

Double Cancer
Nigeria

cancer jewelry astrology zodiac 2008Dear Cancer,

Aries and Cancer is a tough match, though I would not say it is, “doomed to failure”. What is doomed to fail is any relationship where the people involved live thousands of miles apart! In fact, I would say there is no actual relationship until and unless the two people spend time together in person. I mean, it’s fine to meet online but then what? Who is going to move?

If no one is going to move and put the thing together, then how is it going to come together? It’s not. And how likely are you to move when you are already feeling frustrated? You’re not likely at all.

I think this relationship has served you because with a 7th house Moon, you want to be partnered. But with your Moon in Aquarius, you don’t want to be too close!

You also have a stellium in Cancer in the 12th house and the relationship allows you to live in a state of ‘divine discontent” – but will anything ever come of it? I would say no. I imagine one day it will disappear like a cloud and I’d apologize for that but I am not at all sure this would be bad news.

Good luck.

She Feels Suffocated In Relationship – Commitment-Phobic In Love: Aquarius Rising, 7th House Moon

November 23rd, 2006 @ 3:44 am by Elsa

Dear Elsa,

I have had many boyfriends in my life. Some were very serious, to the point of possible marriage. But for some reason, there was always something missing from those relationships and I never felt as if I wanted to spend the rest of my life in them. I felt suffocated and restricted, although nothing had changed since the beginning of the relationships.

I met the most wonderful man four months ago, and I feel as if he might be ‘the one’. I’m afraid that the same old suffocating feeling is going to come back, and that I will unintentionally hurt this wonderful man who I truly want to be with.

Is there something in my chart that reflects this tendency to feel suffocated? Or was it maybe that the men in my past were just not the right ones for me? I’m afraid that I’m going to be running from love my entire life, while at the same time craving it. Do you have any insight?

Scared Leo

leo horoscope 2007Dear Scared,

Yep, you’re on to it. Part of you wants to be in a relationship and part of you wants out! And you’re right. It has nothing to do with the man. You’re a commitment-phobic who craves relationships and this is hard-wired.

As for the astrology, anyone with their Moon in the 7th house is going to have an emotional need to be partnered. PERIOD.

But you’re an Aquarius rising. And you have Uranus in hard aspect to your Sun. And you have Jupiter conjunct your Mars and square your Venus. And all of this shrieks “Don’t fence me in!” And if you want evidence of this, just check your email address…

Your email address is how you identify yourself, right? And yours is the equivalent of FreeSpirit@blahblah.net. So how is that person going to be married, huh? ::smiles:: You’ll be jacked up from day 1!

So I don’t know what you’re going to do about this. How you resolve it will be very personal, but I can tell you it can be done because I am just like you and I’ve done it. There is a way to be both partnered and free. So you’re on the right track with your consciousness of this. And hopefully the clarity will help to kick you to the next level.

Bottom line, you need to make your own rules when it comes to relationships. Anything traditional will fail. And this may sound bad to you today, but it is what it is and understanding yourself is the key.

Good luck.
