Mercury Conjunct Mars: I Want Red Wheeled Things… Fiercely

February 19th, 2011 @ 8:26 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

This post continues the story of the red wagon…

I coveted that red wagon and brizo mentioned in the comments, I also coveted my red handtruck and she is certainly right about that. I also used to own the red truck, pictured and in all three cases, I was spellbound by these objects from the moment I laid eyes on them.

I told my husband I felt the same way the first time I laid eyes on him. To me, he was a red wagon and the minute I saw him, I coveted him and knew he was mine.

You Can’t Change Anyone And This Includes Yourself!

December 20th, 2010 @ 6:35 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

The obvious dawned on me last night,  I hate when that happens. It was in regards to my life but my life is no different then yours so here I am.

The idea you are going to help someone or fix someone or change their life may be noble but I think it’s doomed to fail on a certain level. We all have ways of being or characteristics that are hard-wired and shown in our charts. In my last night, I was jarred by something my husband said and then I realized I was jarred in general.

Getting Through A Keyhole vs The Easy Way Out

December 18th, 2010 @ 6:05 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

My husband is very good at getting through a keyhole. He works well with narrow bands of opportunity and impossible odds. He gets around impediments by careful planning after contemplating something down to the fine hairs. Basically, he can plan a mission that should be impossible and have it be successful.

My method is completely different from his. I live with an eye on the horizon and when I see a window or a door open, I leap through it with less than a second of thought, land on my feet and then start living in the new environment, whatever it might me.

“He Thinks You’re A Cow”

December 17th, 2010 @ 7:44 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

I was thinking about a friend who was recently offered a disingenuous compliment from a man. I thought I’d tell her the man thought she was a cow. I don’t mean, “cow” as in “fat cow”, I mean cow as in large, dumb animal standing in a field who can be tricked into taking the ramp that leads to it’s own slaughter.

Research Shows That Crimes Of Passion Don’t Exist

December 13th, 2010 @ 6:12 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

lonnie-athens.jpgThis was the follow up to the Crimes Of Passion piece in 2008. I was surprised at the results of the poll (repeated below). Very few of you (7% in 2008, 9% in 2010) believe there is no such thing as a crime of passion when hard research shows otherwise. “I lost my mind and killed her?” Turns out this is something criminals tell juries and judges and lawyers but it is not what they tell Lonnie Athens.

The Freak Car, Off In The Ditch

December 12th, 2010 @ 6:40 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

freak crazy carWhen I was 15 years old I got to town from the desert with the goal of having a life.  With Mars conjunct Mercury, I think in terms of cars quite a bit. I had taught myself to drive when I was 10 and my idea at that time was that I had to merge with traffic.  I saw all of you (town people) as cars as well and I was just going to cut in an outside lane and be on my way, blending in.

Mars Conjunct Mercury: Impatience And Impulse To Communicate

November 11th, 2010 @ 5:25 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

sagittariusI woke up yesterday to a number of emails wanting me to do various things right now this minute. I am not complaining about this because it’s not really usual. People do realize I sleep at night and I when I saw all the urgency in my in-box, I tracked it to the transit and simply responded right away.  I have the Mars Mercury conjunction in my chart. I am built for speed so why complain?

Today was similar. I had more response to the newsletter than usual – people firing off missives. “You’re no good” was followed by, “I really appreciate these letters,” which is followed by something else short and to the point.

“You Have No Balls!” She Says (A Cautionary Tale)

November 10th, 2010 @ 9:46 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

roman sword“You have no balls!” one of my clients told a man in her life, as Mars and Mercury in Sagittarius opposed her sun in Gemini. She also told him he was sick, negative and afraid.

I have permission to publish this. Chances are a good number of you can relate, having attacked a man in a similar way at some point in your career.

Under The Mars Conjunct Mercury Sky… Challenge For Big Mouths Like Me

November 8th, 2010 @ 8:13 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

I am trying to hard not to blurt things right now…

I will be nice, I will not be contrary.
I will be nice, I will not be contrary.
I will be nice, I will not be contrary.
I will be nice, I will not be contrary.
I will be nice, I will not be contrary.
I will be nice, I will not be contrary.
I will be nice, I will not be contrary.
I will be nice, I will not be contrary.
I will be nice, I will not be contrary…

Did you ever have to write something 100 + times for a teacher or other authority figure? I did.

“I will not tell jokes in class…”

Of course, I’d didn’t think (Mercury) this was fair (Libra) so I was pissed (Mars)!

Astrology And Disposition: Are You A Nervous Type?

October 18th, 2010 @ 8:30 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

nervous-brickdown-1.jpgSome years ago the soldier told me he would never take me on an ambush. Apparently I am fit for many types of missions but an ambush is out.

“You could never do it, P. You have to lie still and not move for hours. For hours upon hours, no talking.”

I got a pain in my head just thinking about it and I didn’t protest because I don’ t mind being fidgety. To hell with it. Someone’s got to bootle, may as well be me.

My nervous disposition and/or inability to sit still is shown by Mars conjunct Mercury in my chart. His ability to discipline himself is shown by his Mars in aspect to Saturn.

Do you have a nervous disposition or not so much. Can you see this in your chart?
