Weighing Knowledge, Mercury In The 9th House, Pluto Transit, Disgusting Truth, Etc.

February 6th, 2012 @ 8:10 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

Having Mercury in Libra, I weigh knowledge. I can’t help this, it’s my natural process. Mercury is in the expansive 9th house and I have numerous ways to consider information that comes my way.

For example, the 9th house wants to know (Mercury) if something is true. Should I believe what I’ve been told?

Defining My Bias (In Astrological Consulting)

February 3rd, 2011 @ 6:12 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

bias
bi·as [bahy-uhs}
noun (plural bi·as·es or bi·as·ses)
Definition:
1. preference: an unfair preference for or dislike of something

With Saturn transiting my natal Mercury in Libra, I have begun to define my bias.  With Mercury in Libra, I have a fair mind. I can readily see another person’s view of things but this I still have personal bias and I am finding great value in being upfront about it.

How Readily Can You Imagine Another Person’s Reality And/Or See Their Side?

December 3rd, 2010 @ 5:40 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

Driving my husband to work this morning, he asked if I saw the look on my son’s friend, Quirky Aquarian’s face when, Vid asked him a question with an obvious answer. The answer was only obvious if you were, Quirky though.  Quirky is Mexican and the question was along the lines of, have you ever eaten a tamale?

“He looked at him like, are you kidding me?”

Planets in Placements

I’ve read accounts of Mercury in Libra as nicey-nice wafflers who want nothing more than to smooth out arguments and keep the peace.  I’m going to have to disagree.

If Mercury in Libra tries to mediate your argument it has nothing to do with wanting everyone to get along.  No, this Mercury is thinking “Hot damn, a debate! How can I get in on the disagreeing without taking a side that’s already taken…I know…I’ll disagree with the argument itself.”  See, making peace is an opposing reaction to the whole thing.  Trust me, as soon as everyone is all settled down, guess who’s gonna pop up with something polarizing like  ”How ’bout those gun laws?”

Mercury In Libra And The Art Of Being Boring

July 17th, 2010 @ 7:26 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

Most know I have Mars conjunct Mercury in  Libra. I rarely think of these planets independently but as Saturn wraps up it transit in Mercury’s sign, Virgo, I realized I have become very adept at being socially boring.

The is a real feat, not necessarily because I am not boring but because my double Aquarian mother said it was a sin to bore people which is something that struck me.  I’ve believed that most my life but see now… finally that there are occasions (lots of them) when a person should just plain be discreet.

Clear Thoughts, Happy Feelings: Mercury’s Trek Through Libra by Art Ofner

August 18th, 2008 @ 1:50 pm by Elsa

Outtakes and various other sundries

http://www.elsaelsa.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/libra.jpgThere is a perfect storm (gift) that will form in Libra in September. Venus, Mars and Mercury will hook up in the sign in September and having Mars Mercury conjunct in Libra natally, I am very focused on this.

I am going to be writing about it no doubt but for now, here is an introduction – Read Art Ofner with a sign by sign treatment of the upcoming Mercury transit through Libra…

Ofner writes:

“Mercury, the thinker and communicator of the zodiac, enters Libra, the sign of human relationships and togetherness, on August 28, where it remains until November 4, 2008. It is in retrograde motion from September 24 to October 15.

With Mercury in Libra, you’ll receive social invitations and experience unexpected meetings where you’ll encounter new people and enjoy pleasant conversations…”

Mercury In Your Natal Chart: What’s It Got To Say?

June 11th, 2008 @ 3:39 pm by Elsa

Ask the collective

mercuryWith the Sun, Venus and Mercury in Mercury ruled Gemini, I got to thinking…  ::smiles:: that’s a joke.

But I did get to thinking about my thinking and my pompous thought was this:

There is no end to the things I know.

That statement is textbook for a Mercury in the 9th house (inflated / expansive) but then I had this thought:

There is also no end to the things I do not know.

::smiles::

How’s that for Libra? Both sides, bay-bee!

Yeah, I have Mercury in Libra in the 9th house and that right there is my statement.

What does your Mercury have to say about itself?

Is That A Capricorn Trait? Well, No. Something Much More Deadly – Libra!

Commenting on the comments

venus nudes libra artI talked about not letting people rush your game in regards to playing cards on the Mercury Retrograde video. Alma asked:

“Would you say that not letting anyone rush your game is a Capricorn trait?”

Alma, I don’t think so. Being 8 and 9 and 10 years old and wanting to play cards with adult men in the first place is a Capricorn trait. I was ambitious.

Strategy of this type would be a function of my Mars Mercury conjunction in Libra. I want to win, see? MARS. Mars always wants to win, so Mercury is going to figure out how and since Libra is a Cardinal sign, we are talking control. I am going to control (Libra) the speed of the game (Mercury) so I can win (Mars).

And I’d do it in a Libra way. I’d go into hostess mode or something.

“Say. “Did everyone get some cake?” ::big pleasant smile:: “I got the recipe from Tammy, she lives down the street. Do any of you know, Tammy? She’s married to Fred…”

::blink blink with the eyes:: while I think. Maybe drop a shoulder. You know. Venus for Godsakes! Veeee-ness!

And then when I’ve decided what card to play, I’d toss it into the pile with one more superficial comment about the weather and a few minutes later I am raking in the pot.

Anyone else with Libra care to cop to stuff like this?
