We’re about halfway through Mercury’s retrograde period and it’s been very noticeable to me. Typically I have no problems writing the blog with Mercury Rx but this period has been a true strain and I chock it up to the Capricorn factor.

Usually it’s just a jumble and a do over here or there but with Mercury Rx in Capricorn, there has been an abundance of caution around what I say or don’t say. I’ve had to exercise restraint, take down posts, delete my comments and all of this is very unusual.

With Mercury in Capricorn, I continue to carefully consider my communications.  There is a standard that has to be met. Is what I am saying, real? Is it right and responsible?  It’s seems fitting Mercury transits Capricorn once a years so you can check this kind of stuff. It is probably doubly important for people like me with big mouths that can run on… and over.  It might even be a lifesaver.

Tam asks on Manipulation And Astrology Consulting in regards to various comments about my regret of using the word, ‘manipulation” and my distaste of political correctness… :

(snip) “Does anyone really hear/comprehend what others say?”

Great question. I think sometimes they do. Sometimes there is a direct line of communication but I have had things people have said to me take 10 years and more to register. Matter of fact I wrote a conversation I had with my sister (have not finished and posted it yet) that we had almost 15 years ago and it just registered… now. This is uncanny. It is indicative of what a poor listener I am or at least that I was.

I just heard from a pal who got ambushed at a function she attended. Apparently there was another woman attending who had it in for her… started taking pot shots.

She didn’t get very far before my friend (Pisces with Mercury in Pisces) had what she called an “intuition”. Her intuition told her that this gal had these comments scripted. Yep. She had her insults pre-loaded and figured in advance and when my friend realized this she was able to mitigate the damage in her mind.

Now when she told me this, I was just stunned. For one thing I have never had this type intuition but I bet this happens all the time. People planning attacks like this, that is so I thought I should post this so others like me might be informed. But I was also interested because I would never, ever plan my comments.

With Mercury in the 9th (cowboy) conjunct Mars (impulsive) whatever I am going to say is going to come out in the moment – say now / pay later.

This led me to consider what the scripting gal’s Mercury might look like and while I don’t know, planning always smacks of Saturn and/or Capricorn.

So what do you guys know about this? Ever script your comments? Ever realize a person’s comments are scripted?
