Mars Square Neptune: What Happened?

June 25th, 2011 @ 5:40 pm by Satori

“I believe you have my stapler.”
–Milton, Office Space

red swingline staplerMy man and I have a cardinal Grand Cross in synastry between 10 and 14 degrees. I have two planets involved and he has three. I have a simple square in my chart, whereas he has a tee square. Both our moons are involved. The Grand Cross in the sky, well, “it don’t feel so good,” but I think between the two of us, he’s gotten the worst of it. I suppose that’s an understatement as he spent Thursday night in the Emergency Room.

Mars Mercury Opposing Saturn

April 19th, 2011 @ 2:29 pm by Satori

“I don’t need a plumber. You’re that clever shark, aren’t you?”
“…Candygram.”
–Saturday Night Live Landshark Skit

landsharkMars and Mercury are conjunct today square my Capricorn (Saturn flavored) moon. They also oppose retrograde, transiting Saturn. I find myself in the position of having to make decisions about whether or not to communicate with people. I’m asking (Mercury) myself (moon) what is the right thing to do (Mars)?

On Being High-Minded And Devious

January 22nd, 2011 @ 8:09 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

There is only person in this world who I think truly understands the way my mind works and it is my sister, Annalisa.  This is because she grew up with me. We shared a bedroom. We have the same parents and if you took any one of those things out of the equation, I think she’d miss the boat too.

Last night, for the hell of it and because Saturn is transiting my Mercury, I decided (Libra) to disclose my motives for writing something in my blog.  “I am up to a number of things,” I explained with a nervous chuckle. denamaria chuckled back at me so I snorted. “Yeah, well I can’t help myself. I just can’t help but do it,” I said.

I rattled off a quick list why I wrote the post in question, starting with my true, high-minded goals and ending with my slithering-on-it’s-belly, criminal mind’s end of the deal.  I mentioned some mid-range stuff that was no less important feeling both hapless, proud and somewhat embarrassed.

Getting Drunk Over My Disappering Work and A Poll Regarding Crimes Of Passion

December 12th, 2010 @ 5:48 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

smoking-marijuana.jpgThis is from 2008. Prior to the Astro Dispatch there was something called The Top 10 Astrology News.  I worked on the site for two years, making a tremendous investment only to wake up one morning and find the site gone. My work (Saturn) had disappeared (Neptune).

I was pissed and disoriented. That lasted a couple days and then I went into a sort of stress mode when people (other astrologers) started emailing. “Where is the Top 10?”

Mars-Mercury, Venus And Black Friday by Satori

November 26th, 2010 @ 5:11 pm by Satori

“Win or lose, we go shopping after the election.”
–Imelda Marcos

wrapped presentBlack Friday is a huge shopping day. People are out early and in mass to jump-start the holiday shopping season. With Mars-Mercury in Sagittarius sextiling Venus in Libra I would expect opportunities for quickly acquiring beautiful things with instant appeal.

Did you get out and shop today? What was your overall experience?

Dixie’s Daily Tarot, November 9, 2010: Emotional Business

November 9th, 2010 @ 5:04 am by Dixie

Astrology Meets Tarot

ace-cups-reversed-tarotI was uncharacteristically wound up—furious, disgusted and midway through a full-blown rant. This was during a particularly drama-laden period of my life; while I would have earnestly claimed it wasn’t my drama, that wasn’t entirely true. I fed it.

I got completely halted mid-rant by my husband. “YOU care more about this than anybody else. Why?”

Smack! It stung, just like a smack in the face will. But it was a smack I needed. He was right. Damn Captain Virgo with his Virgo moon, pointing out when my emotional tirade didn’t make any sense.

There Is Still A Demand For Uncensored Writing And Creativity Unleashed – Whew!

September 10th, 2010 @ 5:50 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

I truly feel constrained when I write these days. I started out just writing, writing, writing. I said what I wanted to say. I swore my head off. I said outrageous whatever. I did not hold back at all. I did not censor myself at all. I didn’t worry about the mouth police, the PC brigade or people who eventually showed up in droves just waiting to be offended. I was a wild ass tornado, creativity unleashed and I didn’t even know it.

Slowly, I’ve been curbed and this is for good and ill. My writing is more accessible now. It used to be hard to parse because I had such a strange cadence. I didn’t know that either but I have been through what? 6 years of Saturn transits to Mercury? Let’s see…

Transits and Aspects: Lemons and Lemon Products by satori

January 29th, 2010 @ 12:15 pm by Satori

“We are standing on a whale fishing for minnows.”
–Joseph Campbell

My teenaged son’s best friend was hit by a car yesterday. Again. It was the fourth time. He’s relatively fine and the driver had insurance which will cover his hospital bill. Four times really is amazing, though. This last time happened near the entrance to the grocery store, the same grocery store where he was recently mugged. My son told me he was right there when some guy punched his friend and took the friend’s gallon of milk.

Mars Mercury Whore Report – Houston

July 11th, 2009 @ 8:33 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

I was talking to the soldier on the phone last night. “Uh oh,” he said. ‘Lot lizard.”

That’s what whores who cater to truckers are called. He was sitting in his truck as she approached. I kept quiet to hear the conversation.

The soldier said, “Hey.” You have to nice to the whores or they will slash your tires, later.  He would be nice to the whores anyway, he’s nice to women in general.

“I’m Not A Neptunian, I Just Play One On TV…”

May 20th, 2009 @ 8:02 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

elsa tvLynne E writes eloquently on Reality and Arrogance:

“…I think she likes her Neptunian mask. and we do wear masks albeit unintentionally whether it’s the smile that contrasts with inner angst or the grimace that hides delight. Life can be falling apart yet Neptunians so often don’t let on, or else make less of it. Maybe we need the veils to protect our reality?”
