“Little League baseball is a very good thing because it keeps the parents off the streets.”
–Yogi Berra
I went to the Homecoming football game for the high school last night. It was a really unusual game particularly for the fact of there being several dramatic injuries. I lost count of how many times there was a player down on the field with the teams taking a knee on opposite sides while coaches and paramedics hovered. The Moon and Mars were conjunct in Leo, dramatic injury, dramatic feeling, and these were all star players, Mars in Leo. Shockingly, the homecoming king himself was the first down on the field (Mars in Leo square Venus in Scorpio with Uranus on their midpoint).

I got out last night and ran into some Venus Pluto “corpses,” and you know what? It was fine. I got out and acted shiny (Mars in Leo) and felt shiny (Moon in Leo). I like what Elsa had to say about Black Moon Lilith opposing Saturn and delaying negotiations. With a stellium in Libra and Mars in Leo opposing Vesta (passions and what’s sacred) it’s a good time to have fun relating. Skip the negotiations and do what you like to do (Mars sextiling Venus). So what if a corpse pops up? Don’t negotiate with it. You can say, “hey!” step around it and move on.

Mars ‘Round The Zodiac: Mars In Leo – Read All About It!
Astrology in real life
Mars is well placed in fire sign, Leo. People with Mars in Leo are driven by their heart to act valiantly, with panache. They get what they want by getting your attention, these people are not wallflowers!
Mars in Leo is prone to grand display of prowess in any form. They are actors who command the stage.
It’s true that Mars in Leo will bestow a large or generous gift on a person in part due how it reflects on him or her. No one likes a cheap King or Queen! Mars in Leo knows this so typically gifts are significant. If there is a dinner invitation it will be to somewhere nice, where a person can be seen.

Mars In Aries: Beyond Thunderdome
“If you can accept losing, you can’t win.”
–Vince Lombardi
Saturn just went through my son’s 11th house and he’s seen his circle of friends tighten. Friends without integrity have fallen away. At the same time Pluto is transiting his Uranus Sun opposition. He’s had a somewhat distant relationship with his father but I see him actively reshaping it. In synastry neither of their Mars aspects anything in the other’s chart. However, they both have Mars in fire, my son’s in late Aries and his father’s in early Leo. They both have an active physical drive. My son’s attempts to engage his father have all fallen rather flat until he hit on this latest strategy: he challenged him to play raquetball. Now they’re meeting weekly and hanging out afterward.
A Leo Mars in the 11th house rarely shrinks from a public challenge. My son, with his Aries Mars in the 6th worked straightforwardly, trying one thing after another till he found a solution. Who will win? Who cares; as far as I’m concerned they both win.
How do you get what you want? Where is your Mars? Does it hunt?

I wrote this in November, 2009. Mars was in Leo that day, the day the victim (me) pulled a gun of their own.
This came to mind today because everything I said back is now being revealed as true which = my redemption. It’s a good story for Mars opposing Neptune because Neptune obscures the prowess of the victimized (many times from themselves).

Mars In Leo For 8 Months (October 16, 2009 – July 10, 2010): How Is It Going?
The original post on this – Mars in Leo for 8 months
I am always amused people think you can put a dress on Mars. I have Mars in LIBRA and it is still Mars. It’s angry, it’s raw, it’s uncivilized and the effects of this transit have been pronounced and we’re barely getting started.
As I mentioned in the previous post, the house where Mars in Leo falls is going to be super-hot and relentlessly energized. In my case, it falls in the 7th, I already have Mars in Libra which is similar so I am fighting “the other” all over the place.
