Ask The Collective: What Do You Do When Pushed To The Edge?

Ask the collective…

houdiniSent to HQ in regards to the soldier in 2006::

“He is stressed but I’m not worried because he’s like me. Push him too far and he goes magic on you.”

What do you when pushed to the edge? What is it in your chart that kicks in?

puzzle in progressVenus (relationships) is in Scorpio (healing) square Neptune (magic).

With his Sun, Moon and ascendant in Venus-ruled signs, my son gets introduced to this concept.

“Do you know what a metaphor is?” I asked my son as I turned pieces of our 2000 piece puzzle face up.

“Yep. I know metaphor, simile…”

“Yeah. Well that’s what this is puzzle is for you and I. After what’s got on around here, we have a big mess. We really have a mess just like this puzzle, there are pieces everywhere but we are not going to leave it that way.”

He was quiet.

“No, we’re going to get this thing together and you and I will get together in the process, it will be like magic,” I said.

“Okay.”

“Okay then you watch.”

Anyone else got something going on this theme?

Coping With The Current Saturn Neptune Opposition: This Magic Is More Mainstream Than You May Think

September 12th, 2006 @ 10:27 am by Elsa

Blogs regarding the Saturn Neptune opposition in the sky start here: It’s a Hall Of Mirrors and We’re All In It

zodiac rug horoscopeNow for people who find all this made up reality scary, I wanted to point out how mainstream it really is. Consider what therapists tell you. “Fake it till you make it,” they say. And, “Act as if…”

The idea is if you pretend (Neptune) something is real (Saturn) it will become so. A person with no self esteem, is instructed to act as if they have self esteem and voila! Next thing you know they morph.

And is this not erasing (Neptune) reality (Saturn) and replacing it will a preferable fantasy (Neptune)?

That ultimately solidifies (Saturn)?

Sure looks that way to me.

Coping With The Current Saturn Neptune Opposition: The Original Talking Pig aka My First Epiphany

September 11th, 2006 @ 5:49 am by Elsa

Blogs regarding the Saturn Neptune opposition in the sky start here: It’s a Hall Of Mirrors and We’re All In It

gemini mug horoscopeNow regarding Bob Dylan, after writing that last blog, I mentioned it to the AMF who reminded me the story may not be true! Dylan is famous for making things up, specifically his history but I can’t see where this changes much. The story inspires… me!

Because I am a Saturn / Neptune type and routinely supported by imagined reality. But unlike Bob Dylan who is a lying Gemini, with Mercury in Gemini square Neptune, my stories are all true and I’ll tell you one of them.

I’ll tell you about my first epiphany which came when I was 8 years old. I call it the original Talking Pig and what happened was I in a very compromising position. I was in a life or death situation as far as I know when all of the sudden it was very clear to me, not only was I going to survive short term, but my life was going to be very long. Long, long, long. And I was not too happy about this at the time. In fact, I was infuriated!

And I’m sorry for how that sounds. It’s not depression, but Neptune. I would have preferred escape, see? Neptune in Scorpio, death as an escape. Get me out of here, but no. That was not what was going to be.

The Pig talked, or God talked, or perhaps my own little psyche talked. But in whatever case I came out of this experience knowing in my bones I was going to live a very long time. This was a fact that was unequivocal, so what do you suppose I did?

Well I’ll tell you. I believed this information and I believed it hard core. I knew this was true like I knew my name and once I knew it I could not un-know it. And I began to make all kinds of decisions based on this knowing.

For example, when I was 10, I mentioned I stole Henry’s truck and went to town! Because think about it. saturnI’m a kid but I know I’m not going to die. So what’s the worst that can happen, hmm?

And you get the idea. I was a very, Very, VERY ballsy kid. And when I look back on my life I see that virtually everything I have ever done was colored by that experience and I don’t even know if it happened. Did it happen? Or did I imagine it happened? Caught in this crisis, did I simply make up (Neptune) reality (Saturn) on the spot?

So one day I was tending bar. I was legal by then, I was 19. And I was working in socks for some reason. Oh yeah! It was a costume and I like being barefoot.

But anyway of the customers looked over the bar and down at my feet. I guess he thought they were big or something because he said, “Jeez, Elsa, look at your feet. You’ve sure got a good grip on the earth.”

“You have no idea,” I said, smiling at him. Because obviously I knew I wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

And there was another time. I was tending bar again. I was about 20, I guess. And some bastard was really giving me a hard time. And not very many people gave me a hard time back then, or ever in my life for that matter. Because I am not what you would call the easiest person to fuck with, but this guy was managing. He was sharp as a knife and mean as hell and he had me completely on the ropes and in agony.

But then the Pig came back to me. And I walked over to this guy and got right in his face, across the bar. I mean, I got inches away from him. He was about 35.

“Let me tell you something, you bastard,” I said. “You listen to me.”

“What?” he said. He was glad I’d come back for more and ready to slap me down.

“You’re going to die. You’re going to die and when you do, I’ll still be here,” I said with total confidence and conviction.

And at that, the whole bar cracked up and the guy slinked out of there soon after.

But you get my point. I have lived my entire life shored up (Saturn) by this illusory thing (Neptune) that happened when I was a kid. And it goes on to this day.

breast cancer“Don’t worry,” I tell various people. “I will be there when you die. I’m pretty sure I’m not going anywhere. I will be very shocked if I do. I have a very long life, whether I like it or not…”

“Why not like it?”

“Because I will be left when you die.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah. I’d much rather get hit by a train, wearing earphones but that’s not what’s going to happen…”

And I feel so sure when I say these things. It’s as if they are simple facts. So here it is decades later and that Pig still plays. Like last year when I was called back after a routine mammogram for a 2nd look…

“Don’t worry. I doubt I have cancer and even if I do, obviously I’m going to survive it. Everyone knows my life is long. I just don’t get out like that. My life is much longer,” I said. “It’s longer by far.”

So there you go. I am the rare women going back to the doctor for a bad mammogram, completely devoid of fear and supported by… nothing.

And this is an example of hologram (Neptune) fear (Saturn) turned inside out. It’s hologram support that dissipates fear. And you see my point.

It doesn’t matter if I was an 8 year old with an epiphany from God, a girl with an overactive imagination, or I am just plain delusional. What’s real and verifiable is the fact that my reality (Saturn) morphed (Neptune) that day and in turn, my entire life has been enormously and favorably impacted by this illusory thing.

And when the information came to me, had I not believed…then nothing. There would have been no affect at all. Sort of like God throwing pearls before swine. (no pig pun intended ;-) )

Coping With The Current Saturn Neptune Opposition: Bob Dylan and Gorgeous George

Blogs regarding the Saturn Neptune opposition in the sky start here: It’s a Hall Of Mirrors and We’re All In It

gorgeous georgeWell I listen when pigs talks and so does Bob Dylan. There is a bit in his book, Chronicles… where he describes a scene that took place in a hotel lobby when he was young and just starting out. Of course, Dylan was already someone who paid attention to pigs when they talk. He was basically born feeling he had a destiny, but anyway in his book he describes his encounter with boxer, “Gorgeous George“.

Now Gorgeous George was a flamboyant man. He was sort of a “Liberace of the boxing world” and he came swishing through the hotel lobby in full regalia with Bob as his witness. With a fur cape and an entourage, I mean. And flanked by beautiful women.

So Dylan is standing there, taking this in. He’s absorbing the scene when George speaks to him. Yes!

He tells him he’s going to be a big deal or something to that effect, and Dylan immediately knows this is real. And the comment shores him up, see. Now he knows all these things he thought… his dreams of his destiny were in fact real, because Gorgeous George just said they were!

dylan young bobAnd then Dylan goes on to write that he may have imagined this whole thing. George may have not spoke to him at all, actually and he has no real way of knowing. Did Gorgeous speak to Bob? Who knows? But Dylan makes it clear the effect of this event (which may not have even happened) had a profound effect on him. He redoubled his efforts or whatever. And of course at this point, his career speaks for itself. This week he has the #1 release in the world… quite an achievement, a forty year career and all. But here’s the point if it’s not obvious.

Dylan may have been flailing. He may have been at a low ebb on that day he saw George. And needing something he may have imagined that George, this total celebrity with his incredible presence tapped him, like some sort of God figure, to tell him he was special. And this energized Dylan. It became something he could refer back too when his energy failed him but he needed to keep on, keeping it up.

And maybe George did speak to him, but I can’t see where it matters, can you? What matters is Dylan believed (Neptune) this was real (Saturn) and so found himself supported (Saturn) by something completely nebulous (Neptune).

And “Cat”, on the last blog, asked how you’re supposed to know if an epiphany is real or not. And I guess I would say it doesn’t matter. What matters is if you believe (Neptune) it is real (Saturn).

Coping With The Current Saturn Neptune Opposition: Epiphanies aka Pigs That Talk

Blogs regarding the Saturn Neptune opposition in the sky start here: It’s a Hall Of Mirrors and We’re All In It

queen of heartsAround making your dream (Neptune) real (Saturn) consider the phenomena some would call an epiphany. Have you ever had an epiphany? I have had a few in my life, which doesn’t sound like much until you realize that on one side of the epiphany your life is one way and after the epiphany every single thing is changed forever. If you’re me, that is.

If you’re not me, the epiphany may come and you may dis it. And if you do this, I have no idea what happens. You’ll have to tell me, because I would never look away from information that comes from God, or the universe…

Well actually, I have no idea where the information comes from. It might come from my own imagination. It might come from the other side, friends who have passed. Perhaps people who have epiphanies are mentally ill. They’re delusional! But I’ll tell you, none of this makes a whit of difference and I’ll explain this but first, “The Talking Pig”…

pig platterThese days I call epiphanies when they come, “talking pigs”. It because of a movie I like, “Queen Of Hearts”. The movie is a love story as well as a character study of a magical little boy (Pisces, I think) and his grandfather. And you can see it if you want, but here’s the thing.

In the beginning of the movie, the father is working as a busboy at some catered affair. A wedding, maybe. And on one of the tables is a cooked pig. You know. The pig is all stuffed on a platter with a apple in it’s mouth but this does not stop it from talking.

So that pig talks. He offers up some information which the man decides to act on and as a result his life changes course.

So what about you? When pigs talk do you listen?

Coping With The Current Saturn Neptune Opposition: An Introduction to Nifty Magic Available To All

September 8th, 2006 @ 10:58 am by Elsa

Blogs regarding the Saturn Neptune opposition in the sky start here: It’s a Hall Of Mirrors and We’re All In It

alfred e newman what me worryI’m back on the Saturn Neptune thing, sorry for the delay! I spaced out (Neptune) my job (Saturn) there for a minute. I lost (Neptune) some time (Saturn)! ::grins stupidly::

But I meant to write about some of the positive manifestations of this combination because they are plenty and they are superb and sublime.

And I’m talking about people with Saturn in the 12th house, here. And people with Neptune in Capricorn, Saturn in Pisces and anyone with Saturn in Neptune in aspect in their natal chart. Also people with both Pisces and Capricorn prominent in their chart.

And at the moment, I am talking about everyone. With Saturn and Neptune opposing each other in the sky, everyone has access to this energy right now. Everyone has hologram fear.

Everyone has fear that comes in like the tide and threatens to overwhelm, right before it rolls back out leaving you to wonder what the hell you were worried for! You go from being paralyzed with fear to Alfred E. Newman, “What, me worry?” and back again. You wonder if you’re crazy or what. How can reality morph like this? Damn it!

But guess what? There is relief. If you learn (Saturn) to work (Saturn) with your imagination (Neptune), you’ll find that you can generally if not readily, make your dreams (Neptune) real (Saturn). You can erase (Neptune) your fears (Saturn) while you’re at it and all sorts of other nifty tricks.

And yes. This does require you live in a hologram (Neptune) reality (Saturn). But I think I’ve already established we’re all doing that anyway. Think about it.

And I’ll be back with stories to illustrate because I know about a million of them.
