love puzzle

I was talking to pal about her difficulty finding a partner.

“You haven’t had the greatest role model as far as being in a happy relationship with a man goes,” I said. “Look at your mother. Her priority is to have, and preferably to have more than other people. A man is irrelevant to her for the most part.”

“He is.”

“I know. She doesn’t even care if she likes the guy. Her focus is on having more all the time. She wants as much as possible and being happy is not even in the equation.”

Under The Scorpio Moon: The Goods Of The Dead

July 9th, 2011 @ 8:20 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

Many if not most may think this is morbid but I think it’s interesting for some reason and also having to do with love. I was sitting here looking around before I wrote the Rotting Home post and I had a random thought cross my mind. If I were to die tonight, what would people think when they came in my home? What would my home tell them about me?

As it turns out, it would not tell them much. Everything in this house (belonging to me) is absolutely discardable other than my pictures, I’d say. The house is not very clean; I’m an old lady so really you could just cart me away and there would be nothing remarkable about it. I am just the kind of person you would have had to know.

Legacy: The 8th House In Astrology – Trust Is Sacred

September 16th, 2009 @ 2:59 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

On the last bit on this topic (tag – legacy) I talked about handling the legacy of of the living and I am back to expand on this.

I contacted the soldier in 2003 who immediately started telling me stuff and I mean he wasted no time at all. After containing virtually everything throughout his life, he offloaded pretty much all his stories (in raw form) in about a month’s time.  At the end of that month I was standing there, holding a bag the likes of which I’d not seen… in awhile.

Legacy: The 8th House In Astrology – Provocative But Factual

September 15th, 2009 @ 1:47 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

plutoniumBack on the theme of the 8th house being concerned with legacy, a person does not necessarily have to be dead to have their legacy handled by an 8th house person. As a fast example my sister, Annalisa, has written a number of posts for this blog. She writes about celebrities and fashion in a way that empowers women and if she dies tomorrow, she will have left a legacy entrusted with her sister’s packed 8th house.

Legacy: The 8th House in Astrology – Named The Executor Of A Will – The Shadow Side

September 13th, 2009 @ 9:21 am by Elsa

For more on this theme see tag – legacy

The 8th house is concerned with legacy and this goes beyond leaving a legacy or carrying one for others. You’ve got to transfer energy around. As a gross example you wind up the executor of a person’s will.

Legacy: The 8th House In Astrology – At Peace With Dying

September 12th, 2009 @ 7:10 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

8th houseAs with everything in astrology factors in a chart manifest countless ways.  The 8th house is concerned with legacy and the inheritance of energy and this operates in various theaters.

I  have a packed 8th and have mentioned being a person who propagates the energy of the dead (tag – legacy) but I am also concerned with leaving a legacy. I want to leave something for my children, specifically and about 7 years ago this came home with clarity.

Legacy: The 8th House In Astrology

September 10th, 2009 @ 5:49 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

Having a packed 8th house I think in terms of legacy. I think about carrying a person’s legacy, sharing a person’s legacy and also mean to leave one of my own. If you have an emphasis on your the 8th house you inherit energy from the dead, one way or the other. It may be money (not in my case) or it may be in energy in other forms but there is always a powerful transfer.

Paul Newman (And His Legacy)

September 27th, 2008 @ 5:20 pm by Elsa

Astrology In Real Life

judge-roy-bean.jpgLast week I mentioned Judge Roy Bean and Lillie Langtry, the woman he idolized. The soldier told me he related to Bean’s personality (he was he hanging judge) and that his love for me is as enduring and all encompassing Roy’s love for Lillie whom he’d never met (Venus Neptune).

He thought we should see the movie so I got it so we had it on hand today… the day it’s star, Paul Newman died.

I have always liked Paul Newman but I have never in my life been as impressed with a philanthropist as I was the day Newman went on the Oprah show (about 10 years ago) and explained he’d be dying. Yep. He told Oprah he was getting old and asked her if she might take over his charities when he died. Now how cool is that?

It was one of the most heartening things I had ever seen in my life. Turns out some people not only know how to live well, they also know how to die (well) and seeing as this has been my ambition since I was 8 years old… well if he can do it, I can do it and that’s all I have to say.

What do you have to say about Paul Newman?
