I have a friend who is cautious because whenever he tries to shirk anything, he’s typically caught and the consequences are generally severe.

I, on the other hand, get away with almost everything.  When I am caught the consequences are what would be expected some of the time,  but frequently they are light and even more frequently they are waived all together.

You’re going to be a decent person, when? I recorded this in 2008. It continues to be relevant with Saturn in Libra. Does the manner in which you leave one relationship impact the next? Does the trail of bodies you leave behind mean anything?

 

It seems every couple years I ask this question in some form: Does what go around come around?  Is comeuppance guaranteed? Do some people get a pass in life?’

I was prompted to think about this a number of years ago when I attended a local NCGR meeting. The gal presenting made a compelling argument that some (evil) people did get away and get off scot free.  She chocked the “evil” in the chart to three asteroids, Lucifer was one and I forget the others. It’s awful. It’s awful and it’s arrogant. Isn’t that how it sounds to you? Doesn’t that sound arrogant? You know? Uppity? Pretentious? Oh, your eyes are dead.”

“Yeah.”

In the past I’ve polled to see if people would speak up if they saw a friend headed for a cliff and the vast majority said they would not. I would.

Separate but related I just wrote to reassure a client she was on solid ground and mentioned I can almost always tell when someone is headed for a fall. It’s just something I know due my Capricorn, I think, in combination with my 8th house.

If I spot a stranger heading towards collision with a wall, I would not interfere in their process as it it none of my business. People have any number of reasons to head straight into situations that are going to devastate them, subconsciously or otherwise. They may simply have to hit the bottom to learn something important similar to when my husband climbed on the roof with his superman cape when he was a kid and then jumped in expectation he could fly. He went and got a parachute after that, see?

So there is that but also it’s just plain rude. If you ask me, I’ll tell you. But walking up to someone who thinks they are flying high and telling them, “You’ve got about 3 weeks of rope left, buddy,” is beyond inappropriate.

In theory most people want to see people get their comeuppance but they also want control over it. I suppose this is primarily a Saturn function though I could argue some other angles.

The fact is people think they can break the rules be them social or societal and boy are they surprised when someone breaks the rules on them. They think THEY are the force of nature, see. They are the special one who can do whatever they want while the people around them be decent and I have a story to illustrate.

One time the soldier pulled into a video store parking lot, went inside to rent a movie. He came out to find some kid had gone through the parking lot with his knife and slashed tires on four vehicles, including his own truck. He caught him in the act.

There are a number of reasons I think that and I am sure most agree, but I would assume this based on her loving and jaw-droppingly helpful and insightful comments and advice on step-parenting questions alone.

I was running through my gabillion drafts and realized I had this other point to make on the whole subject of squandering talent.

Now the soldier and I know someone who is very talented. This gal was born blessed with little deficit and profound opportunity. She also enjoyed supreme support from a variety of high quality sources, way beyond the norm.

Not only was every single shred of this squandered, the resources were employed to do damage. This gal wreaked as much havoc as possible, motivated by pure greed and without remorse.

To witness this was galling. It’s like it would turn your hair a new color or something… things like this are just not supposed to happen, sort of like toes falling right off your feet but it did.
