Ask the collective

jupiterSince so many people are struggling, I thought it might be a good idea to name some problems you don’t have! ::smiles::

I’ll go first: I don’t worry about being perfect.

Experience: It’s Never Wasted – Jupiter Speaks Regarding Fate

February 16th, 2009 @ 6:57 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

lottery fatesRegarding my blog and various efforts I have made in the past that have seemingly come to no end, this is never the case. I don’t think experience is ever wasted and the more you have the better off you are especially if you take the pains to process it. I have had many hideous experiences in my life but find I routinely draw on whatever it is I learned at the time.

For example, I have been in court A LOT especially for someone who has no reason to be in court! I have a significant number of clients who consult with me because they are going to court or to some kind of mediation. This is strange since I do not advertise for this kind of work but the people contact me anyway and sure enough, I have the cards they need.

Astrology And Giving, Greed, Generosity And Abundance

February 15th, 2009 @ 9:34 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

jupiterLoonsounds writes on Giving, regarding her mother

“…every penny she has saved for her whole life and now her portfolio is down 60 percent and it really actually does look like she could run out of money. So, in addition I have now learned that being cheap is no guarantee of financial security in late life anyway (not that it would have changed me)…”

Very good point. In fact, greed has a pretty sorry reputation actually.

Jupiter In Astrology: How These Transits Work In Real Life

January 12th, 2009 @ 3:21 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

12.jpgThere is conversation in the comments on the Jupiter blog around the fact a gal’s husband has had Jupiter conjunct his Sun in Aquarius but is having no luck. The idea that money or things are going to fall from the sky when Jupiter transits your whatever is a common misconception. What you can count on during a Jupiter transit is an opportunity to expand.

This means if Jupiter transits your first house you will have an opportunity to expand your waist. More is not always better. But aside but that, good things usually do come along during Jupiter transits but people don’t necessarily know a good thing when they see it.

Never Mind What You *Want – What You Get Is Adventure

November 1st, 2008 @ 7:44 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

likewaterforchocolate.jpgIf you saw Like Water for Chocolate
then maybe you’ll recognize this line, “Don’t cry in the sauce!” I have been equated to the gal in that movie, “Tita” many times and at one point she’s all distraught over her love and starts crying the sauce as she’s cooking it, something I have been busted doing myself. So today I started crying in the salsa, eating an early dinner with the soldier before he took off.

“You have this destiny and now mine is tied to yours,” I said. “I told you that and you said so? Is it that baaaad?” I smirked. “It’s not bad. I am glad to be with you.”

Jupiter And Pluto Go Direct Next Week – Your Shot At The Future You Want

September 2nd, 2008 @ 6:59 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

space-invaders.jpgI was talking to a pal over the weekend and I told her I was going to consciously and dramatically shift my focus so as to change my life when Pluto turned direct.

I went on to outline my ideas which abstract. In fact they were primarily emotions but I knew as I expressed them that an actual cohesive plan and the commitment to go with it would follow and sure enough these things are emerging now.

I am going to do this like the ball that drops on New Year’s Eve or the way the game Space Invaders used to work when you pressed, “hyperspace”.  You pushed that button and that was it, babe. Wherever you were, you were no longer there.

Point here is there is one hell of a lot of energy available at this point of pivot and if you are ambitious to do anything,  anything at all there is a major opportunity to get a running start between Sept 7-1oth or so.  Posting today because the Sun conjunct Saturn tomorrow and favors commitment big time.  Think about what you want to leave behind in a week.

For example in my case, I believe I have had enough pain.

What have you had enough of?

Open Question: Astrology And Charity: Who Do You Give To And Why?

August 26th, 2008 @ 8:58 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

givebloodgivelife.gifOne of the regular readers wrote to ask where you would look in a chart for the best opportunity to give. Her specific words were; “The best type of charity for a person to give to?”

I am not sure I understand the question but think the topic in general is grand and I have given this some thought.

I consider myself a giving person, in fact my life is pretty much about two things… service and getting laid. But as any innately giving person can tell you, it is important to come up with some kind of criteria and/or boundary around who and what you give too unless you want to be a bled dry doormat.

jupiterDiana writes on The Sycophant (part 4) regarding the book I wrote:

Omg, let me read it. I’d love to read it, I’m totally serious. Get that thing published. Believe it or not, your experiences help me understand things and people around me. I’m only 19 so I’m not so experienced with much of anything. Not only that, your experiences are super entertaining.

I’ve been reading your blog for almost a year and even though we’ve never met, I still feel that I know you. I can relate to everything that you write, regardless of what it is, you make sure everyone gets their share. So without sounding too creepy, I care about happens in your life. I read your blog every single day and I feel like I know everyone you talk about. Just a bunch of characters that I can relate to. So, it would be really interesting to read about how you got to where you are now…”

Open Question: Demystifying The Jupiter Return In Astrology

August 2nd, 2008 @ 8:42 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

jupiterDear Elsa,

I have my Jupiter return happening now in Capricorn. This is supposed to be a big event because I have Sagittarius rising and my Jupiter is in my 1st house. I really don’t know that much about Jupiter returns. Maybe you would want to share something about this with the collective. Oh and by the way I don’t mind expanding but golly gee am I gaining weight.

saturn lampConny asks on Coping with Saturn Transits:

“What do you think Elsa, would a Saturn with trines and sextiles be easier to live with? And would this influence the way we feel the Saturn return too? I’m thinking, does the return activate the aspects of Saturn in the chart, what’s your experience?”

Conny – I have Saturn strongly placed and well aspected and have an easier time with Saturn transits than most for exactly the reason you imagine.  Works this way not just for the Saturn return but for any transit and/or transiting planet.  The transit does set off the natal situation.
