Astrology in real life

jupiterDear Elsa,

I have my Jupiter return happening now in Capricorn. This is supposed to be a big event because I have Sagittarius rising and my Jupiter is in my 1st house. I really don’t know that much about Jupiter returns. Maybe you would want to share something about this with the collective. Oh and by the way I don’t mind expanding but golly gee am I gaining weight.

Love And Money And Blogging Astrology Redux: Arrogance vs Humility

Commenting on the comments

new shoes life magazineNatasha writes on Love And Money And Blogging Astrology (in part):

“…You are hugely loved, but research does tell us that we hang on to the negative more fiercely. Would like to invert that!”

Natasha, thanks. I did not know about the research but feel pretty good about copping to this. I know a lot of people would think I need adjusting on this front – I have been told so many times. But I am not sure that inverting the situation would be the best tack. Leave it to Capricorn to see the upside of the negative but you know what happens to people who believe their own press.

As it is I exist in a (thin) soup of negativity and every once in awhile something grand penetrates and I wind up feeling like the boy in the image (my favorite image of all time). That is some glee, no? I know that feeling and I mean I knooooow that feeling.

Compare access to that kind of glee to someone strutting around full of themselves and I will take “me” any day of the week. Never mind it keeps me working rather than looking in the mirror which I’m pretty sure is better for the soul… at least Henry always thought so.

Do you lean towards arrogance or humility? Do you like it that way?

santa.jpgAmethyst says on Warren Buffet On The Current US Recession

“Is there something in the stars, Elsa, like some weird aspect of Neptune that makes people disbelieve real things like prices, shortages, etc, and only listen to what a talking head tells them to think? I feel like paying attention to reality is going against the grain.”

Amethyst, I just got off the phone with a pal. She likes to think pie in the sky and I was just explaining to her that I felt people were still stuck in a Sagittarius (abundance) mindset. We have had Pluto and Jupiter in Sagittarius but the fact is there has been a shift and we are in reality now whether we admit it or are conscious of it or whatever. It’s like this:

There is no Sagittarius! Jupiter is in Capricorn, so what’s that mean?

It means there is no luck without work. It means there is no expansion without humility! It means there is no opportunity for people who lack credibility and/or integrity. It means if you come in promising the Sun, the Moon and the Stars… if you promise you are going to take away all pain, you are going to be rejected (Saturn) because people won’t believe (Jupiter) you!

Maturity – Are The Times Changin’?

May 7th, 2008 @ 12:30 pm by Elsa

Ask the collective

capricorn smoky goatI mentioned maturity in regards to Pluto transits and I think it’s been underrated in recent times. There is an entire generation chasing youth which seems odd to someone like me who covets their age.

Jupiter through Capricorn definitely benefits anyone (of any age) who manages to conduct themselves with some degree of grace but I wonder if Pluto’s transit through Capricorn with have an even more profound affect. I think it’s likely that we as a collective (Pluto) are simply going to have to pay heed to people with substance (Capricorn) who have lived history for guidance.

And if you think about it, this is a long way from the Paris Hilton era or the Tom Cruise is God era which I do think has come to a close. All eyes on the people living large? Who has time for it?

I’d Put A Blog Up Here For You Guys But… Jangly Clash And Trash

Astrology in real life

juggling knivesEverything I know is too jangly or disturbing to write per the sky at the moment. That Mars Mercury square hits my natal Mars Mercury conjunction. The Moon Pluto hits my Moon and I just have all have all trash, clash and doom to report.

For some reason I feel responsible to filter this. I think it must be Saturn in Virgo. If I make statements I will have to defend them.

Er… sounds more like Jupiter in Capricorn. Best be able to back up your preaching with something solid! I can do that but I am tired. I think we’re all getting a bit of day off right up until Saturn turns direct (May 3rd).

In whatever case it works like this in real life (going back over – no new information). I got called to another meeting today. The gal (she’s new) outlined the agenda.
