Mercury in Libra Reports On Mercury In Aries….
Astrology in real life
The soldier started his new job yesterday… he hates everyone but likes both people he works with already so they must be spectacular. Er… he doesn’t actually hate everyone, he just wants nothing to do with them but in whatever case there was talk of going to an Italian restaurant. He’s new to town, see.
“Yeah, I told them about you. I said my girlfriend is Italian and she’s loud. She’s really loud and she’s my taster.”
“Taster?” I asked.
“Yeah. Like those mafia guys who have someone taste their food so they don’t get poisoned?”
I nodded.
“Yeah, she’s my taster so whatever we’re going to eat she’ll try it and let me know if it is good Italian food or not…”
He is already operating, can you tell? I like it. I am going to meet these people and no one is going to expect my voice not to carry across the room – What a relief!
Pluto Transit To The Moon – Mine: Pressure Cooker, I Think I Can Explain
Astrology in real life
mabelle writes on the Pressure Cooker bit:
“It *is* funny, elsa! I had the same thought as satori straight away… I’m not sure I would call it transparent, but it fits with the situation perfectly – I’m surprised you hadn’t realised the connection before Satori pointed it out. Anyway, better to channel the pressure into a pot on the stove than letting your head explode.”
mabelle – I think you’re pretty new around here, welcome! I think this whole scene is a great example of how Pluto works. My little trip to buy a pressure cooker was so steeped in meaning… well if you had any idea how much I was actually processing as I pulled into the parking lot and parked (this is when satori made the comment) it would be easy to see how I’d miss the obvious.

Voice Of Mars – “Rome! Now That Is A City!”
Astrology in real life
If you get the soldier drunk he will tell you all about his past lives…
“Rome!” he said. “Now that is a city.”
I stared. “Rome, huh? And you had no love ever in any of your lives until you met me?”
That’s right.”
“Well tell me this,” I asked, drinking myself and hoping to trip him up. “How do you live in a city like Rome and have no love?”
“Oh, P, get off the space shuttle!” he said shaking his head and snorting. “You’re a gladiator! You be a warrior! No one wants to be with one of those guys.”
“They don’t?”
“Hell no. I’m joining Special Forces, that’s what I said. Oh really you said? Bye then! He had a grin covering his entire face.
“I didn’t say that,” I said.
“Yes you did. That is the condensed version anyway.”
I didn’t say anything because come on. I had some wine to sip.
Fixed Taurus / Scorpio Hate vs Saturn Neptune, Italian Style
Astrology in real life…
This is for fellow Italian astrologer, Maddalena at continued from the Italy / Italians blog...
“That’s the spirit, P,” the soldier said. “Give Italians someone to hate or be pissed off at and you’re doing them a favor.”
“Italians hate people, you think? Yeah, I guess that’s right.”
“Yeah, hell yeah it’s right. Italians love to hate and feud. Italians will hate you into the next century. Just add your name to the list son of bitch! The very long list that every Italian has.”
I laughed. “Yeah, it’s true. I have a list but then I forget who is on it.” (Saturn Neptune)
“I know you do but I don’t. I don’t forget shit. (Taurus) I know every bastard on my list by first last and middle name plus every other thing that I know about them that I will never forget. You get on my list, you stay on it and as for your list; don’t worry about it, P. I will keep track of your list and my list.”
“You will remember who I hate and remind me?”
“Uh huh.”
“Okay then.”
Do you have a list?
Astrology Short And Sweet: Italy, Italians, And Jupiter’s Sense Of Adventure
Astrology in real life…
The soldier (Jupiter in Sagittarius) talks to me (Jupiter rising) about going to Italy and fact is, it does not take much for one to talk the other into an adventure….
“When we go to Italy…”
“We’re not going to Italy,” I said. “Why are we going to Italy?”
“Yes we are going to Italy. We’ll be in Italy some day I’m sure. Why don’t you want to go to Italy?”
“Well I have just never wanted to go. I am already Italian and they don’t want to see us over there. We’re Americans! Italian people don’t think Italians who are American are Italians. They hate us!”

The Soldier and P Go To Mass… And Meet Jupiter, Italian Style
Astrology in Real Life
Regarding the Catholic Mass the soldier took me to a couple weeks ago…
“You didn’t like that priest very much, did you?” I asked.
“Not really. What did you think of him?” he asked.
“I thought he was bloatware.”
“Bloatware?”
“It’s software will all kinds of extra stuff. More than needs be. It’s bloated. I thought that priest was overblown and inflated in every way, so bloatware. And he was Italian too which is the worst kind of bloatware there is because we already think we’re such a big deal. We are already sort of naturally arrogant.” Continue reading The Soldier and P Go To Mass… And Meet Jupiter, Italian Style
Jupiter In Sagittarius: Cultural Differences Between Asians, Westerners and Italians
Astrology in real life
Awhile back, HQ outlined the difference between the way Asian people make deals and the way the Western word negotiates. Basically, the Asians come up with what they thinks is fair to both sides… they come up with their best offer and they go to the other party and make it.
In contrast Westerners come in with a low offer, the other party makes a high counter-offer and the two settle somewhere in the middle. I think this is interesting. Either system seems to work fine as long as everyone understands what it is.
So I was thinking about Italians (as I would with Pluto uprooting my Moon / roots) and we have our ways too. They are Mafia-like, let’s face it. Continue reading Jupiter In Sagittarius: Cultural Differences Between Asians, Westerners and Italians
Pluto Transit To The Moon – Mine: Timing In Astrology And A Visit To The Cemetery In Italy
Other posts – “Pluto transit to the moon – Mine“
Federico, the archivist in Italy who has been digging up my family tree actually visited the cemetery in the town my grandfather immigrated from. (Thanks, Federico!)
You realize I did not become interested in genealogy go looking for Federico. He just arrived and I am stunned while simultaneously being not surprised at the very literal manifestation of the Pluto (dig up / dead) transit to my Moon (roots).
It always goes this way for me. Astrology is never, ever vague. The timing is always precise as well and this has made it very easy for me to shrug off skeptics and detractors over the years. What about you?
Do you ever have transits where you cannot identify a result? Or are you more like me, with astrology in your face?

Mercury in Aries vs Mercury in Libra With Mars Involved: Italian Tempers and the Shadow Side
Astrology in Real Life…
“We scare people when we yell, P. People are scared to death of us. Dance floor people. Girls at the pool, people. People who think they’re there to go Christmas caroling until the two of us get into it, people.”
He was citing various incidences we had when we were kids.
“Well I don’t see why. We’re having our own fight, our own way and have no interest in fighting with anyone else. We’re not going to bother you.”
“Yeah, but they are afraid. In Italy it’s okay though. All the Italians yell at each other all the time. And then they drink some espresso and make even worse!” Continue reading Mercury in Aries vs Mercury in Libra With Mars Involved: Italian Tempers and the Shadow Side
