I was 27, living alone in the middle of nowhere in a house on two acres. It was my Saturn return coming in… time to define myself as an adult despite pressure from parents, society or other authority figures. It was Easter Sunday and it was raining.

Sunday was my day off so I was glad. I worked hard for Frito Lay and I only got one day off each week. I was particularly relieved on this day because holidays increase business for potato chip salespeople and I’d been working at heightened level the two weeks prior to make the most of the opportunity.  I really needed a day off and better yet it was raining.

A few mentioned control as an issue around people tolerating (or not tolerating) cheating on Your Lover Cheats… Someone else asked where you might look in a chart to determine a person’s position on this and I don’t think it can be narrowed down.

For example, I have Uranus in the 7th which could describe someone is a group marriage. In my case it describes someone who will abruptly leave a relationship – turn it off like a switch. I think this shows how you’ve got to consider the whole chart because I also have a packed 8th house and you can bet loyalty matters.

Remember that gal with this bumper sticker on her car (SUV): “Some Days I Hate Being Me But Then I Smile When I Realize I’m Not You”? I saw her again today and did something slinky.

I really wanted to know what she looked like but I did not want to pull alongside her and look at her… perhaps say, “hi” through our open windows because my thoughts about her are so negative and I’m not a smile-in-your-face-while-I-stab-you type. But I was dying of curiosity (yes I acknowledge the drama) so I pulled in next to her but up a space so I could use my rear view mirror.

Now I have to say this is unusual for me. I know a lot of you do this stuff all the time and I don’t care that you do. I have already admitted to being interested in hearing the inside story from the tabloid reporter on the Jon Benet Ramsey case, I’m just sayin’…

I agree I am strange unless you understand astrology in which case it can be made apparent I am merely a grand example of a packed 8th house. I am someone who consciously uses the energy of others and offers energy so others can do same.  It is in this vein that I post so much about the soldier who is a rich source of energy of various types.

Now he’s got a Cardinal T-square involving Mars, Mercury, and Saturn which he puts to good use. He is phenomenally studied and disciplined and if you’ve need to focus your energy; your skills can only improve via exposure to him. (swearing below break)

“Yeah, drumming. I don’t know what the hell it is.  Apparently some people get together and bang on drums.  Congo drums…  I don’t know. He said lots of Puerto Rican people go there.”

I just stared at him and he held out his arm.

“Let me see your arm,” he said.

I could tell he wanted to compare color so I put my arm alongside his. “I’m darker than you,” I said.

The Convergence

In the car I looked over at Billy.  He was smiling and I wondered if he were a pure fool. Did he actually think he was going to pull this off? I wanted to laugh but instead I winked at him to stuff a chuckle and then smiled and touched my tongue to the corner of my bottom lip to hot him up.

He smiled his appreciation and laughed, thank God because I laughed with him and I sorely needed the release. I thought about Allen Funt and Candid Camera as we headed downtown.

Well, it got bad and it got bad fairly immediately. This was no time lapse slo-mo situation where there is initial hope before things deteriorate.

Last night I was sitting in front of the computer when I heard Vidroid yell, “MOM! MOMMM!”

“WHAAAAAAT!” I yelled back.

“THE SOLDIER NEEDS YOU TO COME HOLD THIS BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!”

I walked out in the backyard, the soldier had a board clamped down and ready to saw. I was to hold it (even though it was clamped… Taurus securing things).

“I told him to go get you,” the soldier said. “That’s how he decided to do it – By yelling your name. That’s Italian for you. Big-mouthed Italians.”

I sighed. “Have you ever met a small-mouthed Italian?”

“No.”

Further comments regarding my recounting of the green skirt in the liquor store episode, it occurred to me when I wrote that piece that it would probably seem to the reader, I had this conversation with the soldier to make him jealous. I realized some would run with this (mis)information but let it go as always. I realized early on if I tried to cover the bases (i.e. my ass), my writing would be boring and you know my family motto, right?  “It is a sin to bore people.”

I was specifically taught this so when I left the blog as-is. After all, it’s only my reputation which has always been good among the good and bad among the bad my whole life long so as you can see my ass is covered.

s – My son (with his Sun conjunct Saturn) has had a lot of fear around someone breaking in the house. For years, I mean. In fact he has a nighttime ritual, he asks if all the doors are locked…. twice. He wants to know if is (somewhat) okay to go to sleep at night and the soldier has overheard this on the phone for all these months.
