Astrology-Based Advice: Divorcing Aquarius Woman Meets Scorpio Man

September 6th, 2010 @ 9:12 am by Elsa

Dear Elsa,

My marriage is ending, which is a very good thing. I am seeing someone else though (a Scorpio), who is adding to the confusion in my life.

He is foreign, ambitious, passionate, and exciting. When I am with him, everything seems so effortless and my problems seem manageable. Because we both are very busy people, we do not spend a ton of time together – but the time we do spend is very fulfilling. He is very demonstrative and affectionate physically and verbally, and tells me he loves me and such. However, this is all tempered with days when he is not exactly cold or ambivalent, but close to that.

He’ll be distant for days, and then jump back to being adoring and attentive. It will seesaw like this. Days that are so lovely… then days that are upsetting, because it seems like we are wasting what precious time we have together. This confuses me.

Is this all just a huge mistake? He has been patient and supportive for the most part, but there are those times when he gets almost fatalistic. There are a million other things going on in my life that make every day a trial, and he has been the one place where I feel calm and like I can be myself for better or worse. But then there are those days when his distance adds to the pressure.

I am so confused, I don’t even know what my question is. Is this worth it? I do absolutely adore him but are we just too different? Is this just crappy timing, or could this work?

Signed,
Overwhelmed

capricornDear Overwhelmed,

Let me read this back, simplified and from my perspective:

You have met someone new, and your life is in flux. This new person is supportive and has you energized; however he is a human being, with various patterns and quirks. The bastard doesn’t go left, left, left, left. He goes left, left, up, down, left, left…

How Important Is It That People Agree With You? POLL

June 5th, 2010 @ 5:30 am by Elsa

cf perezFrom 2008:

Astrologer, Claire-France Perez is a double Gemini and can’t help but be interesting.

“You don’t live in the world of agreement, sweetheart. You live by your heart…” she said. I can’t quote her fully because I can’t remember her words verbatim but she was essentially saying I did not do things so I could get along. “You don’t care if you get along with anyone, you care that you do what is right to you, in your heart.”

“Err…”

Astrology Quotes: Gemini In Their Own Words

Gemini In Their Own Words…

Mercury ruled Gemini is known for its mental dexterity and its dual nature. Some say they are naturally bisexual. Others say asexual. I see Gemini as sort of ambidextrous in all ways. The sign is changeable, almost always intellectually sophisticated but often flighty. Easily bored, they hate being bogged down and always on the look out for something “interesting”.

gemini clockI wrote this in 2003 or so. Pulling it up because someone mentioned dating and Gemini. I am about 28 years old in this story and I was dating ’round the zodiac at the time.

He was a Gemini with a Leo rising and an Aries Moon. We were another match made in hell but he had Mars in Leo conjunct my Venus which makes for a sexual phenomena. Due this we both hung in longer than we would have otherwise. When I heard, “Get it while you can”, and I it seriously.

My Advice On How To Keep Your Gemini Friends

August 14th, 2008 @ 9:38 am by Elsa

gemini on the phoneI have a little drama going at the moment (don’t we all) and I was going to email a pal about it…. Claire-France this is who is a double Gemini.

Contemplating this as I walked into the kitchen to feed, Dora, I asked myself, yeah it’s happening but is it interesting? Should you be bothering her with this? Because if it is not interesting you should probably not bother, cf. Only call her when you know you’ve got meat and not going to bore her…”

Ha ha ha

It was my double Aquarian mother who said it was a sin to bore people. I heard her, therefore Geminis like me. ;)

Commitment-Phobic Gemini Interracial Dating: Astrology-Based Advice

July 24th, 2008 @ 3:10 am by Elsa

Hi Elsa,

I am a flighty Gemini. I’m 30 years old and have never had a ‘serious’ relationship. I’ve only dated a few men. I currently have a “friend with benefits” that is my longest relationship ever. I have struggled with my feelings for him, and I would never admit them to him – especially since he keeps telling me not to fall in love with him.

What I can’t understand is this guy is my total opposite. He’s the first black guy I’ve dated, while I’m pale. He’s only here for one more year of school, and I live here. Overall, we’re not all that compatible.

So, what the hell is my problem???

Thanks!
Flighty Gemini

gemini christmasDear Flighty,

I’m not sure you have a problem. I am sure you have Uranus in the seventh house and you’re keen to shock, break rules and experiment in relationship though and I figure your man is in similar circumstance. He wants to experiment as well, but he’s got some sense of responsibility about it so it’s, “Baby, baby, don’t get hooked on meeeeeeeeee”.

Anyway, your whole deal is quintessential Venus/Uranus stuff, including the relationships with “friends” so I dunno. Just keep doing what you’re doing. It’s you and it’s authentic.

Oh!! And the reason you’re a little more attached than usual? It’s only because he’s detached. The fact you’re going to get out of this is a given. In other words, you’re a commitment phobe and he’s a commitment-phobe’s dream.

Good luck.

Gemini Hell – Part Six: How It Played

June 11th, 2008 @ 3:21 pm by Elsa

This is a true story, you can catch up here:
Part One – Elsa P And Her Hero, Billy: The Collision

Eventually Billy’s friends stumbled in and Billy was visibly encouraged. He was falling down hard and apparently he thought things would turnaround at this point. Back in control, he stood up and gallantly offered me his hand. I stood and he escorted me, swishing of course, to the back of the venue to meet his friends.

billys motley friendsOh brother.

Shock!

Horror!

This was NOT a group of people you dress for.

Billy’s friends were disgusting and that did it. All the sudden I was pissed off. I knew it wasn’t justified, but what’s that got to do with anything?

Not only was I pissed, I started to pout too. Poor Billy. Let’s see here.

  • Daddy was not impressed with new main squeeze.
  • Squeeze was not getting enough attention, and had glanced around looking for a meal.
  • Friends thought Squeeze was from a land they hoped they never had to visit while Squeeze could not tell the difference between friends and a gathering of house flies.
  • Aunt and whoever the others were had not been out after dark in at least a decade and were sitting like deer in headlights wishing for the remote control so they could beam on home, Scotty.
