Astrology Today – Mars Opposing Pluto – Take Your Positions!

Astrology in real life

marsLots of people are writing about tomorrow’s eclipse so I will focus on Mars in Gemini currently hunting Pluto. If you’re sensitive to lower octave rumblings ahead of earthquakes then you already see and sense this coming. It’s a big fight, yanno?

No, not a big night. I said, Big FIGHT as in eruption!

(Hearing this, some dive under the bed while others kick back with their popcorn. Others sharpen their claws and people like me go into denial and stay there until the last possible moment.)

Mercury in Aries vs Mercury in Libra: Fight? You Must Mean Choreography…

speedy gonzales“Yeah, well I’ve never seen you fight,” I said to the soldier.

“I know.”

“You invited me, do you remember? When you used to fight Speedy. You guys beat the hell out of each other with bare knuckles.

“I know. I loved doing that.”

“Yeah, well you invited me to come watch those fights but I didn’t consider it for a nanosecond. I hope I never see you fight. Ever! Matter of fact if you ever get in a fight and I’m around?”

“Yeah?” Continue reading Mercury in Aries vs Mercury in Libra: Fight? You Must Mean Choreography…

8th houseBreakfast this morning. We were talking about I don’t know what. Death and murder, I guess. 8th house subjects.

“Well most people never go to that edge,” he said. “But I’ve been there and I am telling you when you get all the way out there, self preservation kicks in.”

“I don’t know if I agree. If that’s true, then what about these women who don’t fight a rapist? Why doesn’t their self preservation kick in? They just get raped.”

“It does kick in but it’s too late. It does kick in but they wait too long. They wait until the guy is on top them, he’s got her pinned and when he starts choking her… now he’s going to kill her, then it kicks in but by then it’s too late. She’s thinking I’ll just let him do this and it will be all right. But then he starts choking her and she starts fighting at that point. And he gets his jollies from that and then she gets killed. And this is what the military trains you for. To self-preserve in time. You have to have that instinct kick in while there is still something you can do.”

We discussed suicide in relation to this rule and later, this:

“What about a guy who remains defiant while he is tortured to death?” I asked. “I know for a fact this happens.”

“It does happen. Yeah, that can happen.”

“So how does he break the rule? Why doesn’t his self preservation kick in?” I asked.

“Because it’s different. That’s a guy who is going to fight. That’s a fight to the death.”

I could not argue with any of this. You?

Voice Of Mars – There’s A Fight Brewing

jack Dempsey boxingThe soldier this afternoon:

“I may have to get in a fight, P. Some guy is giving me trouble and I may have to fight him and I’d rather not. He’s not a guy you want to fight.”

“Why’s that?”

“Well he’s big, P and he’s mean. He looks mean like he killed his mother or something. He’s big as a house and mean as hell.”

“I see.” Continue reading Voice Of Mars – There’s A Fight Brewing

Magdalen of Night Light, Georges de La Tour lonely paintingI thought this was interesting and perhaps in line with the current blogs on Venus Saturn:

In a new study published in Current Directions in Psychological Science, researchers studied some of the ways loneliness is bad for your health. From the press release:

“…However, when the psychologists looked at the lives of the middle-aged and old people in their study, they found that although the lonely ones reported the same number of stressful life events, they identified more sources of chronic stress and recalled more childhood adversity. Moreover, they differed in how they perceived their life experiences. Even when faced with similar challenges, the lonelier people appeared more helpless and threatened. And ironically, they were less apt to actively seek help when they are stressed out.

Hawkley and Cacioppo then took urine samples from both the lonely and the more contented volunteers, and found that the lonely ones had more of the hormone epinephrine flowing in their bodies. Epinephrine is one of the body’s “fight or flight” chemicals, and high levels indicate that lonely people go through life in a heightened state of arousal. As with blood pressure, this physiological toll likely becomes more apparent with aging. Since the body’s stress hormones are intricately involved in fighting inflammation and infection, it appears that loneliness contributes to the wear and tear of aging through this pathway as well…”

It seems to me if lonely people have a heightened “fight or flight” response, then we’re talking about commitment-phobics (of which I am one) and the like. And I wonder if Venus Saturn aspects in a chart might indicate a lack of ‘fight or flight” when it comes to relationship.

And I surely don’t know but it falls in line with something I was realized awhile back when pondering the fact I tend to keep friends long term. I wrote about how the relationships stayed in tact simply because both parties stayed. For whatever reason both parties decided to stay in the relationship and work it out rather than bolt when things got dicey and consequently the relationships persisted.

And this idea also supports the theory that Venus Saturn types wind up looking pretty good in the end, where as people who have the chance, the ability and propensity to churn through a lot of relationships… i.e. “I am threatened, (for whatever reason) so I am out of here,” wind up lonely in the end.

What do you think?
