You know those people who you can’t talk to? The people you can’t converse with or transfer information to for whatever reason? We are calling them “fans” on this blog because when you meet someone like this and try to talk to them, your words are blown back to you in little bits. The fan person can just not take anything in so you are in fact completely wasting your time when you talk to them. Continuing to outline the various types as promised:

The system (Saturn) is a fan and by that, I mean any system. This was made painfully clear to me when I worked on that case with the FBI. The 27 year old woman is not going to direct the FBI which is a system.

People who are super defensive are also fans. People with an attitude or an agenda to defend. And it can be as stupid as a person who identifies themselves as a cookie eater. They looooove cookies.

We are calling them “fans” on this blog because when you meet someone like this and try to talk to them, your words are blown back to you in little bits. The fan person can just not take anything in so you are in fact completely wasting your time when you talk to them. I promised to outline the various types so here goes:

The first most obvious “fan” is the know-it-all. What the hell can you tell someone who knows it all, anyway? Re the soldier, it would sound like this:

“I was in Special Forces.”

“No you weren’t.”

“Yes I was.”

“You were not.”

I have been tossing this around for a month or so… how I might write this blog without coming across as a total bitch. It may or may not be possible but I’ve decided to try. It is about “talking into a fan”.

Now it was my friend, satori who came up with that idea / the phrasing. I tell her a lot of what goes on, plus she’s read my blog(s) for years and she’s noticed how frequently people react (and often react badly) to things I never said.

The soldier suffers this as well. In fact he’s got the problem worse than I do and I would chalk this up to Saturn on his Mercury. He just can’t see to get people to understand him. It is as if he talks and the words go right into a fan to be blown back at him completely misunderstood or deflected by the person rather than heard and internalized. And if you are a person who suffers like this pretty soon you don’t want to talk anymore and it sounds like this:
