The Astrology Of Attention Seekers

November 3rd, 2008 @ 10:44 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

attention-whore-advisory-system.jpg“Attention Seekers…Elsa, how does this show up in someone’s chart?

I’m asking because I’ve been running into a lot of this lately, both online and in real life. It frustrates and annoys me, even though I’m a Leo, the sign that’s supposedly forever seeking it…well, not this one.

I got a lot of unwanted attention as a kid, and since then, I’ve spent a good part of my life avoiding it. Now, I don’t like completely obliterating myself…I simply value my unique talents. I don’t like drawing attention to them or myself.

Why do people feel the need to do the opposite? Do people feel that rejected or overlooked that they need to make obnoxious asses out of themselves?

I don’t get it!”

Saturn Is Conjunct Venus – Are You Worthless As A Parent?

August 14th, 2008 @ 3:28 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

crayons.JPGLast night I was talking to the soldier about writing his son. “Yeah, I tell him I love you all the time. I tell him allll the time. He probably doesn’t know what to make of it. Some woman loves his dad? How the hell could that happen.”

“Well, P, he probably thinks you’re crazy.”

“Yeah, maybe. Or maybe he thinks you’re the crazy one,” I said.

“Well he probably takes that as a given.”

“Oh.  Well at least we’re colorful. That’s got to be something..?”

“Yeah, we’re colorful all right. Lot of good that’s gonna do him. They’re colorful…” He sneered and I laughed.

I was going to tell him how important I think entertainment is but I changed my mind because I was imagining us both colored with crayons and I was so entertained I forgot.

Speaking Of LEO – Let’s Talk About Them, They Love That!

Astrology in real life

alfred hitchcockWhen I think of Leo the firs thing I think of is hair so on that note:

Moon Maintenance Plan: Hair Secrets From The Heavens by Susan Larsen

And I just want to point out that Alfred Hitchcock was a Leo and how dramatic was he? And how confident! Theater, man. What would we do without it?

And what about “The Greatest Show On Earth!” Too much ego in that you think?

How about we all go PC and call our productions “Good Show But No Better Than Yours!” It’s ludicrous. The sun SHINES in Leo.

For that matter the Sun itself is Leo ruled and no one is going to be around for long if that thing burns out.

I cringe at the idea of a world devoid of Leo energy. That girl in the gym who works out in full makeup, dripping in gold jewelry and drapes her jacket onto the crosstrainer next to her as a if were the cape of a queen? What is that if not entertainment for Godsakes?

Pluto Transit To The Moon – Mine: Home Invasion

July 25th, 2007 @ 9:27 am by Elsa

Astrology in Real Life…

pluto symbolCD writes one the Pluto Moon Transit Home Invasion Blog:

“What I wouldn’t like about it (besides having to do housework) is that they are coming in with an *agenda* – that they are coming into my home but they are not necessarily on the side of the truth, but on the side of ratings…”

CD – It’s a good point and one I have considered. However Frontline is a pretty even-handed program. They seem to do a good job presenting a story in as real a life way as possible.

Where the ratings come in for them, (I think) is in choosing people to profile who are naturally provocative. So while I would expect to be contrasted against someone with a different approach I would not expect to be edited in a way that would be egregious to me though I am aware this could happen.

Another interesting wrinkle… if you read my story “Little Mike” it involves another “home invasion” and ironically I was watching a Frontline type show at the time. I just find this kind of thing striking.

“Little Mike” was midget… the camera followed him around allowing the viewers a glimpse into his life and it’s various challenges and I was mesmerized by that show. And there was no agenda. Little Mike himself carried the whole program and the audience was left to draw their own conclusions which I strongly feel will be the case with this program.

Oddly enough this is another reason I am compelled to allow this. If Little Mike can do it (my God but he was a dour character) surely we can. We are much happier people and sort of bulletproof anyway, if you know what I mean.

ElsaElsa – The Astrology Show… And Update

July 19th, 2007 @ 9:45 am by Elsa

Behind the Scenes @ ElsaElsa

zodiac cardsTo update the TV show, it has not been forgotten. We tested some software that would allow me to broadcast and though it seemed to work very well, I guess it didn’t work well! Because it sucked up all the CPU on my computer leading HQ to conclude we needed to use a web-based… whatever it’s called. We need a web-based solution.

Now this was with Mercury retrograde and you have to figure it was just as well we didn’t launch even though I looked good that day and as I suspected I have not looked that good since. blush

So having hit this snag, coming up with the web-based solution has been the next task. It has been being developed and from what I understand we will be testing it later today. So that’s that.

Now meantime, I have all kinds of idea for this thing, many of them wild. It very much feels like when I started blogging in 2001. I was blathering something fierce back then and oh my God, I am still doing it.

And this is how I feel about this show. There is no end to my ideas for it, in spite of having no idea what exactly it is I am going to do. I imagine it depends on what you do, huh? I am such a co-dependent…

Which is something we could talk about, huh? Is being co-dependent the end of the world. I don’t think so! I could state my case and you can state yours, and you other person can state yours, and you other person can state yours… we can all argue and make jokes about Libras and that’ll be it! Today’s amusement! La, La, La, Libra!

All you Aries could come slaughter us. Get blood all over our doilies… ha ha ha!

ElsaElsa – The Astrology Show… Ideas!

Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…

piscesI was talking to a pal, she’s a Pisces.

“I had an idea for your show,” she said. “You could have a segment called, ask a Pisces.”

I laughed.

‘Yeah and I could do it. I’m a Pisces,” she said, brightly.

“What would it be like?” I asked. Continue reading ElsaElsa – The Astrology Show… Ideas!

Venus Saturn / Neptune and the Hapless Capricorn, Me

July 1st, 2007 @ 10:20 am by Elsa

Astrology in Real Life…

woman before the mirrorSpeaking of the current Venus Saturn conjunction opposing Neptune, last night we tried to get the show going. I don’t like to see myself or hear myself but yesterday I looked freakishly good.

I have no idea how this happened, but I was thinking that if we got the thing up and running I would have to immediately explain…:

“I know I look good, but don’t get used it because I don’t actually look this good. In fact I have never looked this good in my life and I don’t think I can do it again so Godsakes don’t expect it.”

::smiles::

But as it turned out, Mercury is retrograde and we ran into a mysterious snag and I was somewhat relieved. The last thing I want is to look better than I actually look, you know?

Or maybe you don’t know. However, this is how it is.
