I don’t do it by any special effort, it’s a rhythm that is somehow innate, in or around me. I have made a (successful) effort in getting a thicker skin but it took years. I have also learned to defend this blog as if it were my home (or my bar) and this has helped too.

His Scorpio Moon And My 8th House: Energy

February 3rd, 2009 @ 1:39 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

“That was a nice compliment you gave me,” I told the soldier. “You said you liked my energy, I thought that was nice.”

“Well, P, I love you.”

“I know but that’s against your will. You’d not love me if you had the choice. This was you saying you actually enjoy me.”

“You twist my words…”

“Whatever. That was a nice compliment, I liked it.”

Do you think in terms of energy, or a person’s aura and the like? What do you think your energy is like?

scorpi scorpion cap hatThere is a great debate around the soldier’s bitching me out because he does not do very many (household) chores. I was writing yet another response when I decided it warranted it’s own blog because some people don’t read the comments. So to elaborate..

The soldier says he hates chores. He also hates to go to work but he does both without fail once he knows what is expected. And while he does like to lie around, he is extraordinarily good to my son… he is changing his life, enhancing it beyond all measure (and mine too) so these things have to be weighed.

When Bad Things Happen: My 8th House And The Efficient Use Of Any And All Energy

use-of-energy.jpgSnapdragon asks on The Day The Police Came To Get Me regarding how bad things happen to me…

“Well, you do have the odd good thing happen to you… (sounds like you in particular would really need to focus on whatever good things have happened)…”

Snapdragon, I’ve said this before but I’ve not said it lately. I don’t care what happens to me. What I value is experience and  it makes no difference if the experience is good or bad.

I think this is a function of my 8th house.  I make efficient use of energy and it makes no difference what generates the energy (something positive or something negative).  What I care is that there is energy available which I can make neutral and direct in whatever way I design.

Like most, I would not trade my life for someone else’s so like I always say, ‘No complaints.”

When it comes to the happenings in your life – are they more good than bad or about even?

hydra herculusQuite a few people who have Mars in aspect to Pluto surfaced on the Evolutionary Astrology Perspective piece to say they had been molested. While this manifestation is certainly not a given, I would say the fact that someone with an aspect between Mars and Pluto in their chart is at increased risk is undeniable.

Now I just heard from a mother of a daughter who has Mars in aspect to Pluto in her chart and being as she can read a chart, she keeps extra close tabs on her but is that enough? I don’t think so. Because that energy is going to be expressed one way or the other. You can’t just “avoid” something in your chart… something that is part of your destiny.

Open Question: Your Opinion Of Energy Vampires Or Thieves

July 13th, 2008 @ 11:56 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

thief-yellow.jpgs said on Using Other People’s Energy:

“Cold-blooded is all I can say about lack of reciprocity. Vampires of the spirit. Have to add that, too.”

I thought this was interesting because I’ve never considered people who do this do be cold-blooded though they may be. What I have always considered them to be is foolish, short-sighted and sort of the epitome of stupid.  It just seems if someone is in a position to help you it makes no sense to take a lousy five bucks off them rather than establishing a relationship that can (and probably will) be sustained because it is mutually beneficial.

It reminds me of something Henry wrote once, that is that a thief has to keep moving all the time. They can never stop because they get discovered while an honest man can stay in one place.

This is another thing I imagine will come to the front with Pluto in Capricorn. Integrity = power.

How do you see the energy thief?  What do you think drives them? What are they thinking when they take the five bucks?

treadmill.jpgI agree I am strange unless you understand astrology in which case it can be made apparent I am merely a grand example of a packed 8th house. I am someone who consciously uses the energy of others and offers energy so others can do same.  It is in this vein that I post so much about the soldier who is a rich source of energy of various types.

Now he’s got a Cardinal T-square involving Mars, Mercury, and Saturn which he puts to good use. He is phenomenally studied and disciplined and if you’ve need to focus your energy; your skills can only improve via exposure to him. (swearing below break)

Astrology, Anger, Depression And The Expression Of Your Mars Energy

marsLynn Hayes of the Astrodynamics blog writes on People Who Hate Me, Guessing Reality:

“I’m just impressed that you find time to go to the gym.”

Thank you, Lynn but for a person like me the gym is non-negotiable. As many know, my sister is also an astrologer,we have both studied since we were pre-teen and she caught on to this Mars of mine, 25 years ago. Her exact words were, “Don’t let that shit back up on you.”

Wasting Another Person’s Time And Energy… Wasting Your Own

January 10th, 2008 @ 8:07 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

christmas treeSpeaking of wasting another person’s energy it just occurred to me that people who waste my energy invariably waste their own. I guess we could call these people “sinks”.

My first husband, a mega Scorpio and an electrical engineer introduced me to the concept of “sink” and “source” when it comes to energy about 20 years ago. He explained there was only so much juice coming from a socket in the wall.

“There’s enough to light up a Christmas tree,” he said. “But if you keep plugging things into that source, the lights on the tree are going to dim.”

I took this in at the time and have kept a close eye out for “sinks” ever since because I want to be a brightly lit tree not something bled out by leeches. And sometimes I get contacted by someone like this (a sink) who wants a consultation.

This is rare by the way. These days with the blog and all, virtually everyone who contacts me knows exactly what they are looking for but on occasion I get a time waster. A time waster is someone who wants to go tra la la around every issue. They say, “That’s interesting” a lot and stay way, way aloof and detached and you know what I think?

I think, why don’t you go masturbate or something?

Ha ha ha.

Or sit in therapy for the next 12 years, and waste someone else’s time?

And I don’t think this is cold. It is just not my style to take someone’s money and get nothing done. If you come to me the tumor is coming out. It’s very simple. If you don’t want your tumor out, then stay away from the surgeon!

Do you respect a person’s time? What about your own? Do you think these things are connected?

dollarI continued to explain to the soldier, my position on the exchange of energy that takes place when someone dies…

“The idea you inherit energy is no different than when someone dies and someone else gets their money which is something everyone understands. Think about it. Some rich guy dies and his money goes out all over. It goes where it goes and ultimately people are empowered by it. They get richer.”

“Yeah.”

“Okay, well money is just one form of energy, isn’t it? And it’s not even particularly valuable if you ask me. I mean, it’s money but there are other things / forms of energy I think are preferable.”

He stared.
