Astrology Today: Human Condition – It’s Fragile For The Mutables

November 5th, 2008 @ 6:24 pm by Elsa

My eye on the sky

angel.jpgNow I don’t know about the rest of you but the Moon is in Aquarius and Uranus is aspecting both Venus and Saturn and personally I am getting shocked left and right.

I got some really bad news this morning – devastating but had a flash of intuition and wrote this:

“and now bad news… which may turn out to be good ::rolls eyes:::”

Within 2 hours, I wrote this:

“possible intervention from the angel on my shoulder”

Now I have been having reversals like this all day. It’s like pure chaos, never mind I woke up at 2 AM with that Uranus buzz going.

Open Question- How Best To Counsel The Depressed?

August 27th, 2008 @ 3:55 pm by Elsa

Ask the collective

virgoHere is a question for y’all, especially those of you who have been through situational depression. What helps the most? Just as importantly, what should be avoided?

Astrologically, I am talking about a Virgo Moon suffering a Saturn transit and feeling that now is forever.

Thank you…

Astrology And Fashion Trends 2008… The Look Of Pluto In Capricorn – Depression-Era Chic

Outtakes and various other sundries

depression.jpgA Touch Of Crash – Depression-Era Chic

“The duds say it all – and it’s depressing.

Taking a cue from the grim economy, this fall’s fashions at Banana Republic, Gap and H&M are featuring a distinctly Depression-era trend of cloche hats, pencil skirts, conductor caps and baggy, vintage-style dresses.

One of the most popular styles appears to hark back to the impish, newsboy getup of the 1930s: baggy trousers, caps, pinstriped vests, oxford lace-up shoes and utilitarian handbags…”

litmus.gifa asks on Do Miserable People Make You Miserable

This might sound like a weird question, but I’m being serious. How does one know if they are one of those “unhappies” or if they are buoyant?

It’s a great question and I am sure some people have no idea. Other do though. I recall on one of the cock-blocking bits I mentioned (girl)friends who when you start dating a man (and spending less time with them / abandoning them to a degree), they methodically take the man out to restore the status quo and several people copped to doing exactly this.

When your friend is happy, are you able to be happy for them even when you are not happy yourself? I suppose that’s the litmus test.

Astrology, Anger, Depression And The Expression Of Your Mars Energy

marsLynn Hayes of the Astrodynamics blog writes on People Who Hate Me, Guessing Reality:

“I’m just impressed that you find time to go to the gym.”

Thank you, Lynn but for a person like me the gym is non-negotiable. As many know, my sister is also an astrologer,we have both studied since we were pre-teen and she caught on to this Mars of mine, 25 years ago. Her exact words were, “Don’t let that shit back up on you.”

Gemini Woman With Moon In Pisces Feels “Dead”: Astrology-Based Advice

March 7th, 2008 @ 4:44 am by Elsa

Dear Elsa,

Some things that have been bothering me for a long time now have finally come to a head this week, and I feel like the Dead Girl.

Literally. I feel like my life is over, and that it ended badly. At some point in my childhood (I even remember the day), I felt so incredibly hurt by the people around me that I decided then and there that I would NEVER deliberately hurt people the way I was being hurt. It became the meaning of my entire life.

I feel I have hurt people this past year, and I just… can’t… get past it. My life feels meaningless. Everything is just a motion I’m going through. I can’t figure out how to let it go. And the relationships in question have been cut off, not by me.

There are plenty of people who love me and want me to be happy, but none of that seems to matter. I am the Dead Girl, I have been for months now, and it’s really exhausting being here.

gemini ringDear Gemini,

You’re depressed! Saturn is transiting your Moon in Pisces which is a classic signature for this type of feelings. I would go as far as to say you can’t have a Saturn transit to your Moon and not feel depressed to some degree, so the first thing to know and to keep in your Gemini mind is the fact that the things your are feeling are transitory not permanent in spite of their intensity.

Beyond this, I would suggest you go very easy on yourself and try to put the people who would like to see you happy aside in the short term… because this is one of things that exhaust a depressed person. Trying to stay up for the peanut gallery that is. You’d do better to spend your time alone sorting through your feelings or talking to a close friend who knows what it is like to feel “dead”.

Seeing a counselor who can help you sort through this childhood (Moon) stuff that’s got you down (Saturn) would also be a good shot, but bottom line I think you will get through this just fine. Yes it’s dark but it is not going to stay that way. I would be willing to bet your mood lifts once the transit passes and just knowing it is going to pass on its own accord can do a world of good as can a bout of depression for that matter. Because you are by nature a compassionate person and having gone through a time like this, you will be that much more equipped to be compassionate and we need all the people like that we can get.

Good luck.

thrown diceThere is a good discussion on the Saturn In Virgo Chatting Much? blog. Seems there are others struggling or communicate or just plain talking less. Randamandar asked about the feedback on this blog being affected. This is his/her second comment:

“Has the volume of feedback increased? Does this ebb and flow as a result of retrograde planets or planets moving into different signs.”

The Depressing Bummer That Is Saturn In Virgo Combined With Jupiter in Capricorn

January 20th, 2008 @ 11:36 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life…

Yeah, the title of this blog is not politically correct but have you noticed? People are getting sick of PC, I know I am. Things are shifting. But anyway I am living the downside of this shift into the Earth signs and I thought I’d tell you about it.

I have mentioned before I avoid talking about my daughter… her illness. I have explained I have a hard enough time living it day to day so don’t want to spend what free time I get going over it, telling the story (Jupiter) which forces me to relive it / stay in it while I talk. Why do that when I could not talk (avoid) and have an escape? Basically I figure suffering 15 hours a day enough, no need to discuss the suffering for another hour or 2, right? This has come up in many forms.

The Link Between Astrological Mars And Depression

January 9th, 2008 @ 7:44 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

mars“Am I depressed today or what?” I asked the soldier.

“No you’re not depressed. I would call it something more like melancholy. I think you’re feeling melancholy.”

“Yeah that’s right. That’s it. I’m melancholy.”

“It is how you feel after a battle,” he added. “You feel like that when you come in off the battlefield.”

“Oh. Yeah, that’s it exactly. I have been fighting that’s for sure. So what comes next? What comes after the melancholy phase and feeling passes?

“Gearing up for the next battle.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah, you get the adrenaline going again and you go back out there.”

Can anyone relate?

Saturn in Virgo Square Moon, Mercury In Sagittarius: Fear Of Driving And Depression

Astrology in real life

lighthouseSaturn = fear and depression… cold weather – Mercury = driving and the mind – Moon = Mood

“I’m nervous,” I said. “Very nervous.”

“Why? How come?”

“I have a long drive tomorrow, bad, bad conditions. I am worried about getting home and how it’s going to be once I get there. I am afraid I will spiral down.”

“Don’t spiral down.”
