Death And Communication: Different People, Different Approaches…

November 30th, 2011 @ 10:18 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

venus and mars and cupid Giovanni Francesco Barbieri My husband and I have our Mercuries (minds) in opposition.  I used to write about this all the time (100 posts Aries vs Libra) because it’s such an interesting dynamic.  The opposition is tight, for one thing but also, there is a real match or affinity in that his Mercury is in Aries (Mars) and my Mercury is in opposing sign Libra, conjunct Mars.  This gives us dueling mind like dueling banjos and to just to complete the picture, his north node is conjunct my Mars Mercury so he’s to be at least trying to understand me as I learn from him.

Bitter Until The End

November 16th, 2011 @ 11:27 am by Elsa

Ask the collective.

This doesn’t have to do with my mother. I’ve just got Mars transiting my 8th house and I’m thinking about death, among other things. Have you ever seen someone die bitter? For example, the person may refuse to let a certain family member see or speak to them during their last days, knowing damned well this will inflict pain upon the person. In other cases, it may be the person who is not dying that does the withholding by refusing to acknowledge the dying family member.

Astrology, Love And Death: Titanic, The Movie

September 24th, 2011 @ 6:10 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

titanticThere is a terrific discussion around death on the Death/Suicide video. It made me think of the Titanic movie which I think most have seen.

I was extremely moved by the movie, never mind the manipulations or whatever flaws and cheesiness that might have been part and parcel of the film. Fact is it depicted a momentous event and I was easily swept into the size and scope and emotion of the movie never mind all that water. I especially liked the length of the movie because it allowed me to be lost for hours but here’s my question:

Dealing With Difficult Transits

August 21st, 2011 @ 5:45 pm by Satori

“Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.”
–Zen aphorism

big waveI’ve had a second death in my family this week. I’m hoping the funerals are not on the same day, but they may be. And I will deal with that if necessary. I just found out this morning about the second death. After the initial shock I think I’m actually dealing better with both than I would have done with either singly. You know what they say, when it rains it pours. Sometimes pouring rain is just what you need to actually act and get out of the wet.

Under The Scorpio Moon: The Goods Of The Dead

July 9th, 2011 @ 8:20 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

Many if not most may think this is morbid but I think it’s interesting for some reason and also having to do with love. I was sitting here looking around before I wrote the Rotting Home post and I had a random thought cross my mind. If I were to die tonight, what would people think when they came in my home? What would my home tell them about me?

As it turns out, it would not tell them much. Everything in this house (belonging to me) is absolutely discardable other than my pictures, I’d say. The house is not very clean; I’m an old lady so really you could just cart me away and there would be nothing remarkable about it. I am just the kind of person you would have had to know.

Jim Jones, The Jonestown Mass Suicide And Control Via Diet

July 6th, 2011 @ 1:50 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

jim-jones.jpgThis is for the Virgo Moon, it’s from 2007.

I was talking to my husband about diet. He is trying to lose weight and I am trying to stop gaining.

“Well, carbs do make you weak,” I said. “It is just not hard-on food.  For example did you know that Jim Jones fed his followers a diet high in carbs because it made them docile?  It’s true.”

“Yeah, I had to clean up those bodies,” he said. “That was one of the first things I did militarily that was out of the country.”

“I know. But I am telling you that making those people weak via their diet was part of the brainwashing. It was deliberate.”

“I believe it,” he said. “Those people were dead a a doornail,” he added with a look.

“Yeah, I imagine.”

This is the Saturn return of the mass suicide by the way.  918 people died.

I was reminded of this post because we were talking about how passive people have become. People speculate about hormones in food, or in birth control pills, etc. I think a diet high in carbs has a lot to do with this. Remember diet and the mind are linked (Virgo).

It Hadn’t Hit Her Yet… Loss, Impossible To Deny

January 9th, 2011 @ 6:05 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

One of the most memorable “clients” I ever worked with was a gal who signed on for one of my first astrology classes. People were invited to offer their charts for use in the class and this gal sent in her chart. She was in her mid-late 30′s as I recall.  The class was focused on love and relationships so she sent her chart along with an outline of her relationship history that was breathtaking and spectacular.

Mothers Who Have Lost A Child Or Suffered Similar Tragedy

September 5th, 2010 @ 5:03 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

Who can tell or judge if an attitude is bad or jaded? I think my attitude might be bad or jaded and I am sure I could get legions of people to support this. I am specifically talking about my attitude around motherhood which I think is a total crap shoot based on my experience.

No one tells you it is a total crap shoot but I know that it is because my experience being a mother has been horrific. I’d have rather had my heart pulled from chest or been steamed alive than have gone through what I have and there is no cutesy spin for this.

My 8th House And The Valley Of Death

August 19th, 2010 @ 8:54 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

I’ve been pretty seriously worried about my husband since very early this morning, I thought he might be dead. I now know he is not dead but 15 minutes ago, I did not know that.

What I did know is he was either dead or asleep and as the hours and then more hours passed, the idea he’d overslept became less likely. How long can a person oversleep anyway?

His Scorpio Moon And My 8th House: Death And Lemonade

June 27th, 2010 @ 7:31 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

lemonade.jpgThe soldier and I were talking about lemonade which I do not like. He is distraught over this (his word) because he loves lemonade and he’s gone as far as to say if we’d have met a kids (little kids… 8 years old or something) he might not have liked me.

“I think I’d have wanted to have me a lemonade-drinkin’ woman,” he said. “You know. I want to drink some lemonade with my girl.” We were getting into the bathtub at the time.

Henry (my grandfather) wanted a glass of lemonade once,” I said. “He was dying.”
