This is the kind of thing that is a horror to a blogger who aspires to build some kind of following or audience. You work hard and beg, beg, beg people to link you and when you first start out many people oblige.

Based on this you imagine the growth will continue. It seems logical. You continue write quality content… the readers are there but what happens, or at least what happened to me, is I hit some kind of peak and then the people started taking the links down. (Saturn / Neptune, support eroding)

I just noticed, I have published 4992 posts on this blog. I am too distracted to pay attention and wait for 5000 so you know. WHOOPEE!

I am pretty sure I published 3-4000 posts on my original blog as well and I don’t know why I’m telling you this or what it means outside of it must mean something.

I think my writing is better in a lot of ways but worse in others. I guess that Mercury in Libra for ya, eh?

I miss telling stories, that’s for sure. But I can only do so much in a day and they tend to make me mad.

Mars Mercury in the 9th (storytelling) and I get all pissed off when I tell a story. How funny is that?

How long have you read my blog?

After writing (in the comments) about how at times people mistake me as something or the other and then become incensed when it’s revealed to them I am not who they think they are and reading the responses I got to thinking some more about this.

The one gal I was referencing who went absolutely insane over my lack of hatred for of strippers and whores and the men who frequent them, clearly thought based on reading my blog for a month or two (?) that I was akin to her. You know. She thought she could rely on me to be a kindred spirit and I think we were to a large extent. To a very large extent. But then we hit on this one issue and she just went ballistic.

I have had a couple of people post me about their entire post showing up on the Astro Dispatch. In short they don’t like it and I wouldn’t like it either.

Please be assured I am a person who creates content myself and I have no interest in stealing anyone’s work. Matter of fact my entire focus is to drive traffic to astrology writers so let me tell you how this works.

If is the blogger’s choice what they send out on their feed. I have this “dispatch machine” set to show the first 100 words of a post which is what you see on the front page. However, if the blogger sends out their entire post on the feed, then it in fact does wind up on this site!

Okay we’re up and running! Meet my new baby, Astro Dispatch!

Now I think it’s glorious but I am going to tell you everything I know (or think I know) about this: It will not replace the Top 10 Astrology News or the recent Astro News unless other people pitch in and here is why (especially for you newer astrology bloggers).

I set up the Top 10 Astrology News almost 2 years ago. Seeing astrology going more and more mainstream, I thought we (astrology bloggers) could get more attention if we pulled together. As many of you know, it is very hard to build an audience but I’d done it. I had an audience because I have been writing online daily since 2001, so I set up the Astrology News with feeds from all the astrology blogs (there were about 40 at the time) and it worked.

I’ve had a couple people email m regarding the Top 10 Astrology News in the last couple days. As some of you know, it’s been down for a couple weeks and I’ve no idea as to whether it will come back up or not. I hope it does. I worked there for a long time and it’s a lot to lose.

For those who don’t know there is a replacement here: Astro News. It is rough but (mostly) functional and we are working behind the scenes on a major upgrade and hope to have it launched soon.

I was surprised to hear from people about the Top 10 which started to falter a month ago but apparently there are people who don’t know there is a replacement so if any of you can help me spread the word it would be much appreciated.

As always if you have a suggestion of a new feed or other source of astrology themed content, please feel free to email.
