Next Monday marks 11 years of non-stop blogging.  I started blogging before I even knew what a blog was…with no intention whatsoever. I did it because I was driven too, and nothing more.

I notice that Uranus is going to hit Venus and Mercury in the chart of this blog. That ought to be fun.

I hope you like this blog. I know I do.

I have been blogging for just shy of 10 years. It’s changed my life and it continues to bring new changes along with other innovations on the internet.

Last night I got an email from my life-long friend, Ben.  He’s not interested in computers and has never read my blog. He’s been on the site just a couple times in the last decade. Both time he reported being disturbed and somewhat bewildered by the conversation.

I like to solve problems so scan for solutions to mine all the time. Currently I feel blocked for a variety of reasons but more specific to the blog, I just can’t seem to come up with anything interesting to me that will not upset people, and become over-large or unmanageable, as I outlined here – Uncensored Writing.

The fact is my opinions are often unpopular and provocative and it takes a lot of energy just to get them onto the blog in some form. It is so challenging, it can take a lot of time and thought so once I have said got something up here (I am talking about things along the lines of the Government as Daddy for the Single Mother and the like) I will have work backed up. This means I have to post the thing and then turn and refocus on other work.

I truly feel constrained when I write these days. I started out just writing, writing, writing. I said what I wanted to say. I swore my head off. I said outrageous whatever. I did not hold back at all. I did not censor myself at all. I didn’t worry about the mouth police, the PC brigade or people who eventually showed up in droves just waiting to be offended. I was a wild ass tornado, creativity unleashed and I didn’t even know it.

Slowly, I’ve been curbed and this is for good and ill. My writing is more accessible now. It used to be hard to parse because I had such a strange cadence. I didn’t know that either but I have been through what? 6 years of Saturn transits to Mercury? Let’s see…

I work with a lot of people who deal with Neptune in various ways. Perhaps their strength and confidence comes and goes. I told one gal that when I was feeling punky, I could throw a video up here and let my hologram stand in. I happen to feel great today but I could be circling the drain and feeling horrific, put this talking head up here and people would or could look at that it leaving reality (Saturn) obscured (Neptune).

This illustration has broad application. I am always talking about discerning information that comes in and you can see just how easy it is to trick and manipulate… everything / anything. It’s like throwing up a shiny penny. People look at it and the person who threw the coin can act while people are distracted, even if the action is as innocuous as going to sleep.

With Mercury conjunct Saturn in Virgo, time seems very limited.  While I like them both, it’s occurring to me I don’t have time for twitter and/or facebook.

It’s very difficult to maintain a blog these days due Saturn’s influence on Mercury-ruled writing. It is further complicated by the Uranus opposition because whatever you do manage to write is going to protested by roughly half the people out there and here is the surprising thing:

I feel like I write a million words and if you read them eventually you will come across one that offends you.

What kills me is I am supposed to decide what might potentially provoke one of thousands of people rather than the other person maybe cutting me some slack or giving me the benefit of the doubt?

I have no idea where the piles of crap I can step in might be because I don’t know the triggers of thousands of people but I do think the onus is on the reader at least as much as it is on me to try to think before they move to react to control or squash.

I mean, if I am really a harsh bitch (and I am sure some think I am) – they are reading the wrong blog.

If I am not a harsh bitch and prove it day in and day out then maybe it is the reader who ought to get a grip.
