Astrology and Synchronicity: My Mother And Ben

August 20th, 2009 @ 7:45 am by Elsa

Just Blathering…

My mother came up on the boards. It made me think of this strange occurrence, I wrote about in 2006.  For newcomers, “Ben” is a lifelong friend of mine.

Ben and I met at work. The unusual friendship was growing and we had begun to pal around together outside of work. This was about 25 years ago.

aquarius metal signIt was a conversation with another astrologer that prompted these blogs. He wanted to know which method I preferred and I like both.  But there are some things that can’t be accounted for via traditional synastry or looking at a composite. Like for example, what’s up with me and all these Aquarians?

This is my sister on this subject, about 13 years ago. We’re on the phone chatting up the charts of my soon-to-be inlaws:

Astrology In Real Life: Aquarius Married to Aquarius – The Blue Streak

Astrology in real life

Aquarius horoscope fabricPulling this up for my sister because she knows these people…

My parents are both Aquarians. My mother is a double Aquarius and my father is also Aquarius with four planets and his n. node in the sign. That’s a lot of Aquarius!

I wrote this in 2002. HQ wanted this in my book but after much debate, it got cut. It was a story in the middle of a story and while I used to write like this, Saturn came along and forced structure and discipline.

The Stellium in Aquarius: Sun, Mercury, Chiron, Mars, Jupiter and Neptune

February 13th, 2009 @ 5:46 pm by Elsa

My eye on the sky

Also gawk at the stellium in Aquarius: Sun, Mercury, Chiron, Mars, Jupiter and Neptune. Wherever this stellium lands in your natal chart – things are poppin’!

For me, the whole stellium is in the first house and you probably can see some of the effects on this blog. Lots of experimenting going on… surprising (Aquarius) Jupiter (expansion).

But in real life, the first shows your appearance and what I’ve noticed is my appearance has gone sort of YANG. I left the house with Dora in that multi-colored garb that prompted people to email me too.

I don’t really like this by the way. I don’t like the blog chaos either, however it is happening and I do have faith we’ll see a good result in the end. Until then, spastic rules the day…

Where does the stellium fall in your chart?

adobe house buildingYesterday the AMF said, “You grew up in a mud house.” He reminds me of this now and then and he’s right. I did grow up in a mud house and certain things have resulted from that. Things his Aquarius Moon can deal with.

Now someone with a Libra Moon or a Leo Moon or a Capricorn Moon may have a very hard time coping with a mud-house-girlfriend, but to an Aquarius Moon it’s sort of an enhancement and it’s nice for me, you can imagine.

single parentThese excerpts are all from letters to my mother. My mother is a double Aquarius and you can see the Aquarian themes here. He is making sure she knows he is no impinging on her freedom…and “friendship” is an Aquarian concept.

Henry was born in 1900, so it is easy to track how old he was when he wrote these letters. He is 55 when he can walk on his hands, for example.

Letter to my mother June 14, 1954 (My mother is fifteen here)

“…I thought you might want to visit your mother while they came over. I am not telling you what to do, just asking for information; you just do what you want to do.”

Conversations With Ben – Saturn Opposite Uranus: Defending Eccentricity

November 3rd, 2008 @ 2:24 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

celloBen is half-white/ half-black, a gay cello player and teacher. We have been very close friends for twenty years. He’s a Scorpio, with an Aquarius rising and an Aries Moon. Here he defends (Saturn) his eccentricity (Uranus).

Ben has taught cello in the local school system for 20 years… barefoot. He plays with various symphony orchestras, same way. Barefoot. I dialed him up one night.

“Hello?”

“How are you, Ben?”

“Okay, Elsa. Except someone called me eccentric, today.”

Aquarius is known to be eccentric. “Yeah?” I asked.

shooting starThe convention would run through the weekend. It kicked off with dinner Friday night for those who could get there by then. I drove up after work with the two men I worked, both of them chattering all the way. I was new but they’d worked for Frito for a long time and knew everyone. They called our peers “all the old dogs”. “We’re goin’ up and see all the old dogs,” they said and I was amused.

We checked into the hotel after a 5 hour drive agreeing to clean up and meet in the lobby before heading to dinner. We planned to sit together and they told me they’d introduce me to everyone.

frito lay logoWhen I worked at Frito-Lay, I was the number one salesperson in the state. I was 25 at the time and I became aware of my position when headquarters decided send a weekly report to each salesperson, disclosing everyone’s sales. This was a new thing designed to foster competitiveness and increase the bottom line. Frito was constantly tinkering like this because there are major big bucks in potato chips and they were after every single one of them.

Astrology, Women and Their Energy – The Yin and the Yang and the Saturn Return

Astrology in real life

aquarius uranus symbolOnce upon a time I knew this gal. This as 15 years ago, she was an Aquarian with an Aries Moon. That’s really positive male energy and we had a Scorpio friend in common.

He introduced us. He brought her to me for a consultation because of my specific history. He thought I could give her an edge.

She was Saturn Return age (28-29 years old), at the time and she was starting a business. The Saturn return marks the time when the universe really pressures you to find your calling and define yourself as an adult. So this gal was right on schedule.
