Taurus Party at The Magicians Abode

May 2nd, 2011 @ 12:07 am by Nota

Notes from the Psychoscape

My friend, the one who gave me the tomato, lives in an old church called The Moon Mansion. Something like 14 other people live there.

I went to visit her the other day and she took me to the basement to see the plecostomus.

The house is packed with forgotten oddities. The old guy who owns the place is a Cancer and runs it like a 12th house dormitory. Mostly artists and two of his sons live there. I bite my lip and pinch myself whenever I go there because it has surreal dream architecture, hidden doors and iconic piles of stuff you haven’t seen in years. Stacks and stacks of National Geographics next to a wall of display picture frame corners, darkness spotted with glare coming out of floating peep holes, a miter saw, a suit of armor, muffled conversations leaking through the walls.

After we had a good stare at the old fish she turns around and knocks on a door I hadn’t noticed.

Pisces Likes To Confess

March 26th, 2011 @ 11:52 am by Satori

“That’s why her hair is so big: it’s full of secrets.”
–Mean Girls

shhhSometimes someone says something really simple that changes your perspective forever. I remember Elsa saying to me, after I’d told her something really personal, “Pisces loves to confess.” That is so simple, 12th house, transcending the hidden, with a distinctly spiritual connotation. Healthy Pisces energy, energy expressed in its best form, expunges its own secrets and keeps those entrusted to them by others.

Pisces, Neptune and the 12th house rule secrets but also confession. Want to spot lower Neptune energy expression? Beware the Pisces gossip.

What is your approach to secrets and sharing information? What’s the astrology?

Is Your Venus Sexy?

March 10th, 2011 @ 8:33 am by moonpluto

Living in the 12th House

I think and write a lot about Venus in the 12th House because I have this placement, and the other night I was talking to a friend who described a 12th House Venus as “sexy.” I was shocked! Say what you will about Venus 12, but sexy is hardly in the Top 20 Adjectives to describe it, or so I thought. Was he privy to… secret information? It was late at night so we had to hang up but this idea stuck in my mind. What could he possibly mean? How could the house of JAIL be hot? Except maybe in B-Movies. But then maybe he finds secrecy exciting. Escape. Hidden affairs. Hidden MONEY. Or he gets off on Piscean Universal Love, Neptunian transcendence. I won’t know until we talk again.

Discussing God in Neptunian Places by Nota

February 15th, 2011 @ 3:13 am by Nota

Hopefully Coherent Ramblings

Moonpluto’s Bargaining with God piece sparked a memory. Actually a couple of memories but I’m gonna tell you about this one in particular…

This was at the house. Vinny came to live with us. Vinny was a friend of mine from way back. Our parents used to do the flea market and we, as adolescents would troll exposition park together looking to bum smokes and pass the time. We went to high school together until he just disappeared. Meth.

For the entire month of April, we’ll have a large stellium in Aries that will include the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Moon at times.  That is A LOT of concentrated fiery energy. (see tag – Aries Stellium)

It you are a late Aries or Taurus rising, the stellium will fall in your 12th house, a house which confounds many so I thought I’d clarify this.

Astrological Poker Face: Where Are Your Tells? by Satori

December 2nd, 2010 @ 2:10 pm by Satori

“If you can’t spot the sucker within the first half hour at the table, then you are the sucker.”
–Matt Damon in Rounders; originally attributed to Amarillo Slim

showing your handIn his book The Gift of Fear, Gavin DeBecker talks about the phrases people use when they’re attempting to manipulate your judgement. They are red flags that should give us pause about a person’s subconscious motivations or even their very conscious intentions. “Trust me,” or “I’m not gonna lie,” spring to mind. It’s redirection, like a magician pushing your attention to his left hand while he uses his right to perform the trick. People who are relying on integrity don’t need to tell you how to feel or push you into a particular judgement. When doing so they are displaying what card players term a “tell,” in an attempt to control others’ perception of their intentions.

“Look at this composite chart between me and this dude.”

“I’m not at my computer.”

“Oh… … …”

“Dammit, ok, hold on…”

Dixie’s Daily Tarot, August 20, 2010: Learning Leaps of Faith

Astrology Meets Tarot

picCards_Zen030TrustI’ve been writing a lot about faith lately. That may not seem odd to many of you, but it is for me, if I think about it much. Having left my family’s religion on less than endearing terms, anything that smelled of religious dogma was a big turnoff to me for years. I simply couldn’t be around it without feeling sick. I  didn’t mind individual spirituality, on somebody else that is, as long as they kept to themselves. Don’t get any on me!

Today’s tarot is Trust, the Page of Water/cups. One look at this picture, the phrase “leap of faith” is obvious. In traditional decks, page energy has a youthfulness and newness about it. Trust is very much like that, requiring open-heart, much like a child, a belief without requirement to understand beforehand.

Using Astrology To Identify A Person’s Psychological Blind Spots

November 15th, 2009 @ 8:53 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

There are parts of the personality which a person will tend to ignore, project or simply be unaware of. Planets in the 12th house give reliable information as do planets in the 7th.

Planets touched by Neptune or placed in Libra give clues.

Anyone else got ideas about this?
