Demystifying Astrology: What If A Chart Has No Oppositions?

moonpluto asks on How Do Oppositions Work:

“What about a chart without oppositions? Or a chart that has only one, for example — compare that with a chart that has many…”

If a chart has no oppositions then it has something else. This is like asking, “What if a person does not have long hair?” That would mean they have short hair or perhaps they are bald or their hair is medium. But I think you mean to ask about oppositions and projecting.

Astrology and Sexual Compatibility

March 7th, 2011 @ 6:25 am by Elsa

Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…

zodiac cookbookCompatibility between all the sign combos from sexualastrology.com:

On Gemini and Scorpio:

“Sex can be horrible or amazing. This union is best for a one-night stand…”

On Pisces and Leo:

“Over time, Leo will come to the conclusion that Pisces is fun for a night and that’s about it. It’s fun while it lasts. A brief affair is possible but long-term love is not so promising for Leo. Pisces could swim away in a sea of tears.”

And on Cancer and Virgo:

“Virgo is supposed to be the virgin, but Cancer will laugh when they hear this. Virgo will be highly sensual in bed and Cancer will be elated. Cancer has been looking for you, Virgo.”

Do you gravitate towards a certain sun sign?

Rising Signs vs Sun Signs at a Party!

February 3rd, 2011 @ 10:12 am by Elsa

“One girl is a streetwalker, but her feet are so soft…”
Jerry Riopelle

deniro taxi driverThis relates to the Astrology of a Person’s Energy in a Room theme. I wrote this in 2002 on my original blog as part of another series, “Astrology In Not Flat”. I was trying to explain the difference between a person’s ascendant and their sun sign. Here it is:

You can consider the ascendant, it’s sign and it’s aspects as a person’s veneer. Say you’re at a party and you see someone who appears accepting to one and all. A non-judgmental sort. That same person leaves the party and once in the car they let loose with a barrage of scathing criticism of everyone in the room. Well, well, well. What have we here?

The Astrology of a Person’s Energy in a Room

February 2nd, 2011 @ 8:30 am by Elsa

Just Blathering…

elsa grinFrom 2006: I was visiting my friend Stevie in the desert this weekend and her mother-in-law called to say she was going to stop by. Stevie loves her mother-in-law who by all accounts is a formidable woman. I’d heard stories over the years so I was anxious to meet her.

“Wait’ll you see her,” Stevie said happily.  “She comes in the room and WHOOSH!” Stevie’s mother-in-law was Sagittarius with her Moon, Venus and Neptune in Scorpio conjunct she ascendent.

Finding And Keeping “The One” – Commitment-Phobia Etc.

November 16th, 2010 @ 6:17 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

I drew conclusions around the idea that most of us have an “imprint” (Organic Attraction To A Physical Type) when it comes to finding a partner, accidentally.  I think people leave their relationships prematurely.  The going gets tough and they go.

I see this again and again in consulting. When I work with women who have ran through a lot of men and put up their charts up either in a single consultation or over time, I can see they are finding the same man over and over again, conscious or otherwise.

Regarding The Man I Called An “Empty Vessel”: Dumping Your Lover Without Explanation: POLL

November 1st, 2010 @ 11:06 am by Elsa

Commenting on the comments…

ghost shiipFrom 2007:

I called the man in the last advice blog, who left his lover of 2 years without explanation an “empty vessel”. Several people have posted to disagree with me which is fine. There is nothing I like better than diverse opinions but since so many argued for this man, I thought I’d explain my thinking.

If you are in a long-standing intimate love relationship, and you want to leave it for any reason whatsoever, that’s fine. It’s your life. But I feel it is common decency to face the person who has been your lover and tell them something.

This is a person who has loved and cared for you, and shared their body with you.  If you can walk away without so much as a word, to leave them high and dry, wondering and traumatized… well as far as I am concerned this is a soulless thing to do. It’s horrible. It’s horrific. It’s shameful. It’s putrid.

Competition Among Women Chasing Men

October 28th, 2010 @ 8:10 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

“They’d be those kind of women who only have friends who are uglier than they are. You know those women?” I asked.

“I thought pretty much all women were like that,” my husband said.

“No they’re not. I’m not like that. Hmm,” I said, challenged to think about it. “My friends are always… they’re distinctive. I always choose people who are singular and the men who like them, like them. However, when I was single I always wound up running with women who had taste opposite mine.”

“Oh yeah?”

Astrology Today: October 26, 2010 – Support!

October 25th, 2010 @ 5:00 pm by Elsa

My eye on the sky

zodiac ballThere is lots of agreement out there today. Saturn supports the Moon. Pluto supports the Sun, Venus and Mercury while Jupiter and Uranus support Mars.

All combinations work in the both directions.  This means there is something for everyone out there today and more importantly, they’re liable to find it.
