Serendipity

March 4th, 2012 @ 5:31 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

I was thinking about my post on AIDS. I elaborated on that time in life in comment section when I realized that a lot people who read this blog were either not alive when the AIDS epidemic emerged, or too young to remember it. In the process I posted some of my pictures from the era because I realized this stuff is history now and I wanted to bring it to life.

Your Own Failings

March 3rd, 2012 @ 8:37 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

“…you have a very realistic view of how and where you might of failed, which is not that common…”

I wrote that to a client this morning after reading her ideas about where she might have gone wrong.  It’s really hard to look at your own failings and when someone does this, it’s impressive.

Yesterday I went through a deep and ghastly process in an attempt to get at the root of why I feel blocked from virtually everything. I thought if I could identify this, I might be able to resolve it. With Pluto stationing in aspect to my natal Mercury, now is the time for me to excavate this kind of thing.

When Patterns In Relationships (AKA Pathologies) Clash

March 1st, 2012 @ 5:30 am by Elsa

From my 8th house…

You can credit astrology or grand design or whatever you like. For some reason, we tend to draw people who somehow fit with us. Even if we’re irritated by someone, if we examine the situation, we’re likely to realize our run-in with a person has relevance on some level.  And then there are the anomalies…

I can only think of a few times in my life where I have really felt that someone wanted to pull me into some dynamic that is just not my gig, this life.  It’s as if they’re trying to cast me a blonde or something. I’m not a blonde!  I am so sure of this, I’m stunned when I am miscast and I’ll elaborate.

Dying In This Virtual World

February 29th, 2012 @ 6:40 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

Remember this: His Scorpio Moon And My 8th House: Death Plan In Place?

Back when that happened, I was stunned. Now I think it’s an okay thing to do. I think is because of Neptune and a general adaptability.   I am also more aware of how little people care, I’m sorry to say.

We live in this virtual world now and when someone dies it’s like a video game. It’s very different from losing someone you’ve met once a week for Margarita night for the last ten years.  That warm body is gone.

Consider this blog.  Some have been here, and read about my life for 10 years but I am still not a warm body, am I?

These things cross my mind as Pluto transits Mercury.

Cunning And Crippling Indecision

February 29th, 2012 @ 2:11 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

Mars and Saturn are retrograde right now. Mercury will turn retrograde within two weeks. I was talking to a client about the mental challenge of dealing with the retrograde planets, when frustrate progress when we are clearly hurtling into the future.

Yeah, Uranus in Aries signifies fast change and we see this all around, not just on the world stage but in our personal lives. For example, my son is growing right up. He’s on a mission as far as his education goes and his social life has exploded and become huge, seemingly overnight.

Scorpio and 8th House Types: Trust and Friendship

February 27th, 2012 @ 9:00 am by Elsa

Astrology in Real Life…

zodiacI was talking to someone who was wanting to form a relationship with a person whose nature is similar to mine. I wound up describing the process I go through internally when I make a new friend. I explained that anyone who came on with too much, too fast, a “new best friend” sort made me incredibly nervous.

“When someone comes in and thinks they are going to fill up my life, I feel completely overwhelmed. I may like them initially but if my phone starts ringing off the hook, well right then I know I’m not going to be able to sustain the relationship.”

Transit Watch: Full Moon In Virgo – March 8, 2012 – Purity

February 27th, 2012 @ 5:30 am by Elsa

My eye on the sky.

The full Moon in Virgo takes place on March 8th at 18 degrees.  This is clean situation (no Virgo pun intended) in that the Sun and Moon oppose each other with little interference.  You can compare this to a good connection on a cell phone.

Emotions (Moon) are lit (Sun) under the full Moon.  People respond in various ways, sometimes dramatically (Sun). They talk more, they have more babies, and they go to more emergency rooms and jails.  Further,  it’s virtually the only day of month it’s permissible to howl!

I point this out because the effects of this full Moon should be easy to isolate because it’s so pure.  Look for spectacle, rooted in feeling.

Where does the full moon fall in your chart? Got plans?

lucille.jpgOver the last couple days there have been a slew of comments that characterize Virgos as controlling. I don’t get this at all. I consider the Cardinal signs to be the control freaks of the zodiac without question.

Now don’t get pissed off at me, I have both Capricorn and Libra prominent and it takes one to know but for the people who think Virgos are controlling – Please ‘splain to Lucy.

In my mind, Virgos communicate what is wrong with you and then go off to do their other work. Um…

Who is the control freak King (or Queen) of the zodiac?
