Undermining By Questioning A Person’s Motives – Nasty, Nasty Neptune

May 24th, 2012 @ 5:30 am by Elsa

Astrology in Real Life…

neptuneThis is from 2007. If you’re confused about Neptune in astrology, this might help.

I was talking to my husband before we married

“People suspect your motives,” I said. “They think you are up to something… up to no good. It’s the same thing that happened when we were kids. (The Professor Of Art History in The Soldier and P) Happened in 2003 too, remember.”

“In 2003?”

“Yeah, that guy told me you were oppressing me to liberate yourself,” I said. (This is the ultimate insult to a Special Forces soldier who is sworn to liberate the oppressed). Continue reading Undermining By Questioning A Person’s Motives – Nasty, Nasty Neptune

hot air balloonYesterday I had a pal tell me he thought there were people who just couldn’t stand the idea of someone being happy. I would have liked to argue but I’ve witnessed the same thing.

I’m inherently happy. I may have a grueling life but I am still happy and feel satisfied at least 90% of time. I chalk this up to trines from Jupiter.

Jupiter types have a very hard time staying down. We just go up like a helium balloon, again and again and again. Pull it down, it comes down. Turn your back and its up again. Shoot it full of holes and next morning it’s restored. It’s right back where it was, wagging in the wind. And I can explain how it feels to be this kind of person on another day – this is my point:

What If Someone Breaks Up With You?

May 22nd, 2012 @ 8:00 am by Elsa

Commenting on the comments.

In regards to my remark, “ “To avoid pain, do the right thing. Act maturely” on Dealing With Pain And Avoiding Regret Around Relationships That Are Ending As Saturn Leaves Libra  Candela writes:

“What if it’s someone else ending “the relationship” with me? Not my choice, really, because I would very much like to remain friends. But I do understand that we can’t, right now at least.”

Most likely the person has weighed the situation and determined it is not in someone’s best interest to continue to interact. I don’t know your personal situation but as an example, a married person might have become friendly with someone outside their marriage. It might have seemed a good idea at the time, but now they see that person is falling in love with them. It might be that their spouse may feel jealous, or they may be pressed for time and need to prioritize, or whatever.

Mutable T- Square For The Rest Of May, 2012 – Curt Communcations

May 21st, 2012 @ 7:15 am by Elsa

My eye on the sky.

We have a mutable T-square this morning which will be with us through the end of the month.  Expect lots of comings and goings and words flying back and forth.  Mars is involved here and people are liable to be curt.

Neptune is also involved so people may feel hurt or victimized.  You can avoid (Neptune) this for the most part, if you’re able to engage your intellect and try not to take things personally. A person who is short with you may be juggling a lot things or ideas (Gemini) you can’t see (Neptune).

In whatever case, “sweetness” is going to be in short supply when you’re dealing with Mercury-ruled things like email, phone calls, short trips, siblings and neighbors.  It’s quite stressful so think in terms of taking this a day at a time.

Have you noticed communications are sharp-edged right now? How do you feel about it?

Astrology and Old Souls, Lightweights, Blank Slates and Various Other Sundries

Conversations with Ben…

astrology 2007I wrote this in 2006.  My views have changed since, but I still think this is an interesting topic.  The picture is from when, Ben and I met, right when Saturn entered Scorpio, 28 years ago.

I was talking to Ben last night, my very close friend of 20 years +. Ben is a Scorpio with an Aquarius rising. He a gay cello player / teacher of mixed race and an iconoclast. ;-)

“Someone in Wichita told me I had an old soul” he said. “And I suppose I do. I imagine I’ve wandering around these halls for awhile.”

Open Question: “Are You A Plutonian Character?”

May 13th, 2012 @ 9:06 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

pluto symbol maureen asks on Rotten Things Happen:

“Elsa, would you say you are a Plutonian character?”

maureen, yes. I have a packed 8th house, but I am also very Saturnian, very Mercurial and have a pretty strong Jupiter streak as well.

Er.. my Mars is notorious and I even manage to be pretty strongly Neptunian.

If there is something I am light on, I’d say it’s Uranus but even that is questionable because I shock people on a daily basis.

I would also think I am light on Venus, however I have Libra and planets in the 7th so that would a be a lie.

Hmm..

Degrading A Person Because You Feel Bad

May 11th, 2012 @ 6:07 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

“You feel bad about yourself, so you’re degrading me,” I said.

I think this is a common scenario but few are aware of it, on either side of the equation. Having grown up with a packed 8th house and a parent who had Pluto opposing the Sun, I can you a lot about this. A person gets to feeling bad and they’ve just got to degrade someone near them, it’s a survival mechanism.

You can see this clearly, when someone launches venomous attack against a loved one or an associate or even a celebrity they’ve never met.

Um…. so it just makes no difference? What doesn’t? Sorry, I listened like three times… Maybe I have some kind of block on this! (Though I can relate to getting it but still trying to control the outcome.)
