zodiac astrology dressYesterday I had a consultation with a Pisces client and while she identifies with her Sun sign, she is a Capricorn rising with ruler Saturn part of a stellium in conjunct her ascendant and anyway you turn it, this woman is a Saturn figure. She is an parent / authority figure, plain and simple.

Other people are very Plutonian. You can’t get anywhere near them without being changed on a cellular level.

Others are strongly aligned with Jupiter. They cheer and expand you. They take you places you have never been… encourage you towards adventure.

Neptune types teach you to dream and escape the mundane, Mercurial people teach you think, something underrated, I’d say.

Moon types nurture and Venus types offer comfort, art, beauty and relationship.

Mars is a brave hero and solar types show us how to shine and be vitally alive.

Which of these energies do you feel you most represent?

Capricorn, Saturn And Compassion

January 29th, 2012 @ 6:56 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life

saturn planet niceThis is from 2008. My husband and I were coming off years of intense difficulty, the kind you don’t even speak of.

“I wouldn’t worry about that,” I said. “We are in impossible conditions, trying to have a life. I have been in impossible conditions myself, for 9 years. The conditions were  completely impossible but I still managed to have some kind of life.”

zodiac scarf“I like to read your writing but it drives me crazy too,” the soldier said.
“Why?”

“Because I get insanely jealous when I read it. I wish that I was the only boyfriend you ever had, and you were my only girlfriend even though I know that is completely irrational.”

“You’re jealous?”

“Hell yes, you know I am.”

“No, not really. You don’t show it at all,” I said. “You never say anything.”

Open Question: What Zodiac Signs Are Overrated? Who Is Underrated?

December 12th, 2011 @ 8:36 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

zodiac boxjoana writes:

“…Scorpios are definitely overrated, just as Virgos are underrated.”

I agree that Virgo is underrated as is Capricorn. Pisces is rarely valued outside of being a sex toy for Scorpio so I would call them underrated as well. I can’t see that any of the signs are overrated. You?

Is there are sign you feel is given more credit than they deserve? How about a sign that is undervalued?

What Happened During Your Saturn Return?

December 8th, 2011 @ 5:27 am by Elsa

saturnOne of the regulars writes:

“I’d like to read about everyone’s Saturn Return experiences. I have a slight case of anxiety about mine coming up here pretty soon but I am ready. There are changes within myself I need to make and I hope my return will push me into it. Has anyone come out of it with a positive experience, or did it take years after to realize the affects it had? I’m hoping to come out with more confidence and faith in myself.”

What happened at your Saturn Return (roughly age 27.5 -30 for the newbies)?

Everywhere You Go, There’s Your Pathology!

December 4th, 2011 @ 5:02 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

I was thinking about this which is what led me to pull up the video about breaking your psychological patters in relationships.  Have you ever seen anyone who does nothing but run into the same issue, every day, in every way?  Let’s say it’s a woman who does not trust men.  All she seems to do is run into men she can’t trust!

Or how about men who meet needy women over and over and over and over?  Or maybe it’s rejecting women they can’t seem to dodge.

Astrology, Courage and Co-Dependence

November 23rd, 2011 @ 6:47 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

masaru emoto water crystalHaving a fairly strong Libra / 7th house signature in my chart I have always been uncomfortable with the crusade against co-dependence that began in the 80′s. How can Libra (codependent) be all wrong and Aries (independent) be all right?

Masaru Emoto (the water crystal guy) writes in his new book, The Shape of Love: Discovering Who We Are, Where We Came From, and Where We’re Going :

“… Dependence requires getting closer to someone, and this requires courage. I am positive that you can find someone you feel natural and comfortable with to build such a relationship. Once you become comfortable depending on someone else, you will be able to let others depend on you.”

I like that he has married the opposition between Aries in Libra here by asserting it takes courage (Aries) to relate to the other (Libra). Do you agree?

Is it more courageous to stand alone, or alongside another?
