Astrology Today: Monday, February 24, 2014 – Whales and Minnows

fish netMonday morning the Moon moves from Sagittarius to Capricorn, Jupiter ruled to Saturn ruled. The mood energy moves from inflated to concrete. Deflation is not the necessary outcome, but it is a possibility. Having a mature, measured perspective certainly maximizes the mood. So does launching yourself into some sustained practice, most notably work.

Jump start a constipated mood with a little lofty, if nebulous, goal-setting. The Moon moves into sextile with the Sun Neptune conjunction in Pisces. Joseph Campbell wrote, “If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it’s not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That’s why it’s your path.” In some cases, the first step of goal setting is deconstructing the current structure. Currently that structure is permeable. It’s a great time to look inside

With Mercury retrograde in Aquarius, innovative thinking is turned inward. The Moon is also moving into opposition with Jupiter, square with Uranus, and conjunction with Pluto with each moment that goes by. The mood is moving from the opportunity to focus on your divine path into tension and frankly a bit of a mood overload. To take advantage of the challenge, look for the innovative and philosophical threads and follow those.

The Moon’s sign ruler, Saturn, sextiles Venus (also in Saturn-ruled Capricorn). Saturn in Scorpio has a deep root. It’s possible to access some of that wisdom to deeply and concretely assess what you want and need long term. The new moon in Pisces is an opportunity to align your spirtual/ego goals for the year and this is a great lead up. First you have to know what they are.

Yup, I have found this to be the case, with a Cappy Moon and Saturn and Scorpio throughout my chart.

  2. But I do need a direction or I am lost. If I have the general direction, then the rest of it takes care of itself. It is interesting how clear my direction seems lately. I can put as much or as little into it as I want or need and it’s okay.
