Astrology Today: Tuesday, February 11, 2014 – Satisfaction

stairsTuesday morning the Moon in mid-Cancer opposes Venus in Capricorn. This is iconic of a commonplace issue: balancing home and work, balancing inner and outer, needs and desires. There’s also a very parental element to this dichotomy, nurture versus reputation and structure. It incorporates a bit of babies versus art in the realm of creativity. What does it really mean to create? What is lasting?

Mars in Libra trines the Aquarius Sun. The Sun squares Saturn. It’s a lot like driving with the parking brake on… it only slows you up if you slow down for the impediment. Grind that puppy off! It could also result in some sticks in the spokes. It’s irritating but your best bet is to keep moving forward!

By evening the Moon quincunxes the Sun and squares Mars. It also trines both Saturn and Juno. Cancer Moon is cardinal. It’s a controlling energy, a primal energy. If you choose, this makes it easier to control your mood (if you’re not too busy trying to control someone else). Take the long view and commit to emotional stability. Be the nurturing parent to yourself, at the very least, and others too if you feel like it. Seek solid satisfaction and incorporate desire that is sustainable.

  1. This sounds like the antidote to the yesterday I had. Went off the rails early, didn’t recover. Definitely committed to emotional stability today.

    • I wanted to go off the rails all day yesterday but managed to hang on tight. I like the babies vs. art comment Elsa. Last night I dreamed of protecting newborn pups from a marauding raccoon only to be chastised for my lack of femininity. Excuse me, I was using a broom to ward the beast off!

Is it just me or does anyone else find their dreams a real part of living?

      • Ah yes, the wild. In one part of my dreams this early am, I was in the forest with many deer and neanderthal looking people. I ran into some biologists who were looking for one particular lost animal. I filed that and kept my eyes open as I wandered around. Who knows? Whatever did I eat before going to bed. But really, the subconcious is part of us. We are just taught to discredit it.

        • I had a museum, mall, airport dream last night and the night before it was public nudity… but the weird thing? all without the anxiety that usually accompanies such things. what a trip!

          • Ya hoooo! I’m sliding sideways and lovin it. Woo hoo! I’m stayin loose in case I smash into some of that fixedness when merc rx crosses the line.

      • Hi W.J… I actually wrote this bit! in Harry Potter, Harry asks Dumbledore if a post-death occurence was real… “Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

  2. Today is my Aquarian wife’s birthday. She has Venus in Capricorn, too. She’s half way across the continent caring for her sick momma right now. She’s not been well herself so I hope she can click that e-brake off. Thx, Satori.
