For one thing, my parents were horrible by anyone’s standards. I can still make of a long list of things I appreciate about them, or genuinely liked or admired about them. I am their offspring, for chrissakes! I like my DNA and they are the source of it.
I think my position on this is courtesy my Jupiter-flavored moon. It’s a big story, not a black and white story.
How do you view your family, or other people’s families for that matter? Is it simple for you?
What if you painted a portrait of your family. Would it be all black? All white? Monotone colors?
Would it be a diagram, like a family tree, or a series of circuits of some kind?
Would you paint a circus scene?
I had a therapist tell me once, I grew up in the movie, The Lord Of The Flies. Another one told me I would have been better off in a Nazi concentration camp. The therapist who told me that was Jewish! And you know what? I don’t see it that way.
Look at the boys in the picture. They see things from their own perspective.
Paint your family in words in the comments. Mention the condition of your moon while you’re at it. Do your siblings view your parents the way you do?
